Sean was our server this evening, and I have to say I was not disappointed with the service at all!!! The crawfish was delicious, the beer was ice cold, and everything was correct with our food and drinks!! I would recommend this particular location to anyone!! read more

Had a great experience and Cruz was an excellent server and would eat there again but definitely would recommend Cruz as our server!!!!!

Bluewater dropped the ball. Went with family, had ten in our party. They were busy, and we were told a 30 to 45 min wait. I understand they were busy, I get it. But! We waited over an hour to get seated and they sat a party larger then our who showed up after we did. Then they put us at a table that should only had space for eight, it was cramped. After getting the table to work and being crowded around the table. We waited. Finally when the food came everybody got food except my wife and I. We were told it's coming, so we waited more. By the time somebody came back and checked on us everybody's food had already been 3/4 eaten. When they finally asked about our food, we told them never mind. After numerous mistakes they offered absolutely no apologies. Food is ok, not great but the service need work. read more

I went to blue water seafood today and had such a great time! My server Salvador was excellent and very attentive. Food was delicious!!

My mother loves all things seafood so in order to appease her appetite and try to convince her to move back to Texas, my husband and I took her to Blue Water Seafood. I don't know if we won her over... We were seated right away around 7 on a Saturday night but had to wait over 10 minutes before a waitress came over to ask what we would like to drink. At this time we also ordered two appetizers: fried calamari and a dozen oysters on the half shell. Not one to eat fried food, I passed on the calamari but was told it was okay, nothing special. The oysters were okay as well in my opinion but Mum lives in the Midwest and will take "fresh" seafood any day. She ate them right up! For our meal, we ordered the "bail" that came with crawdads (my family is from southern Missouri, that's what we call them!), shrimp, crab legs, corn, and potatoes. Standard fare for a boil. The shrimp was incredibly hard to peel and went uneaten. I dug right into the crab but found it to be way too salty, almost inedible. Some of the crawdads were cold (really?!) but others proved to be very good for being slightly before the season. Overall, I don't plan on returning. The ambiance is fun but the food is just so-so. Next time we'll drive down to Kemah for the real thing. read more

I have been here a few times and love this place because it's the only one I have found with both oysters and crawfish! the other food they have is good as well and I enjoy their gumbo and appetizers since they have a large selection. For the food you are getting the price is fair, and the atmosphere is very casual and relaxing. Every time I come here I always have trouble finding it which is my only complaint. The address on Yelp takes you 3 miles away and the address on the website at least gets you on the right road but tells you to go the opposite direction. every time I call the staff that answers the phone can't explain it either so it's a little frustrating. the staff mainly is what makes the experience decent, the waiters every time are just awkward and slow. we always have to call waiters over when we need something even though they are staring over. I would like to try take out here, it is a good spot to get seafood if you are in a hurry and do not have time to make it yourself! read more

Service was slow to non existent. Food was mediocre. Fried catfish wasn't thoroughly cooked. I don't like a tip automatically added to my bill. I tip for service. If I get good service you get a great tip, if I get bad service you get very little tip. We were a large group with separate bills yet a tip, for bad service, was automatically added. read more

Amazing food delicious for your kids I recommend the kids combo and for adults the shrimp

Service was weak, great setup otherwise. Will try one additional time before counting them out, only for the sauce on the crab legs and draft Karbach beer. Went for a small birthday dinner. 4 people. My mom ordered a salmon platter. Rest of us ordered crab leg/shrimp boil platters. Salmon platter was well made, tasted good per my mom, but came out 15 minutes before everyone else's food. When the rest of our anticipated crab and shrimp feasts arrived...they were cold. I felt bad for waiter when he came back expecting to take one plate back and he had to take all three. On the plus. Once food came back, the spicy sauce on the crab legs is amazing. I really enjoyed it especially w a draft Karbach Hopadillo. read more

Once again our waitor Sean was amazing!! I highly recommend his services to you. Ask for Sean!! He will make your meal worthwhile!!

Best fried catfish ever! Boudin balls to die for. Amazing service! Justin and Dakota are the best! And Lexi and Amanda, although trainees at the time, they both rock!! My favorite place in Spring! read more

Great food and great service. Excellent margaritas. If you are looking for a good place for seafood this is it.

Just absolutely delicious, fresh and can't wait to come back!! My husband and I will make this our go to for sure. The only two seafood places that will see is now is Bluewater and Mambos!! read more

This place is a dive, but that could be a good thing, but don't think so in this case. I had the shrimp diablo, the shrimp, jalapeño, and the veggies that came on the side were all cooked well, the bacon was under cooked (at least for me), the toast and the shrimp fried rice were a complete fail. Why include 1 piece of thin, store bought white bread with the meal? And a fried rice with corn, peas, green beans and onions sliced bigger than my fork? What really turned me off on this place - flies coming in the open back door, chipped plates being used, 90 degrees inside the building, and unrefrigerated oysters! They keep the oysters in a compartment of a 3 compartment sink at the bar, the bar area was HOT, there was no ice in the sink - they did dump another 5 gallon bucket of oysters in just after I sat down, but no one added ice through my entire meal part of me wants to look up to see if they passed the last food inspection read more

Everything we ordered was great. The ceviche was so good they should add it to their menu. All seafood was fresh and food was prepared quickly and delicious. Service could've been better but it was a busy night. Margaritas was yummy too! read more

Coming from a Cajun family, we know how seafood is supposed to taste so; The crawfish was good fried but needed lemons on the side along with other things and the boiled crawfish was a 1/5 because the seasoning was not boiled in it, just thrown on top of it and there was no flavor in the actual meat of it but service and atmosphere was good. read more

Our favorite neighborhood Cajun seafood place. Relaxed boating themes sports bar decor, full bar and authentic fresh seafood dishes.

Really enjoyed my visit to this place. EVERYONE that worked here was extremely nice. Got the Shrimp and grits, and had plenty to take home.. for dessert - banana pudding... and it was just big enough to share with 1 other person. Make sure you come hungry because all the meals are made to fill you up. Will most definitely be returning. read more

Shawn is the best server! Come to blue water seafood at location on 2920 ask about waiter Sean. He provides awesome service and is friendly.

This is our mainstay Seafood Restaurant in the Spring area, all though sometimes the wait staff are a little slow the food is always good. Love the fried shrimp and Catfish, the raw oysters were fresh and very cold just like I like them. The Crawfish Pistolete is the best this side of the Sabine River. read more

This place is super awesome they have roasted oysters all the time and a great beer selection. I will be back!!!

I really like the food here, and the restaurant itself is much nicer than the 1960 location. However, no matter if we sit at the bar, or at a table- with a group or just me and my husband, the service is always terrible. We always get the most forgetful waiters/ waitresses, and the bar tender has been straight up rude and unhelpful. read more

Ate here on a whim. Place has pretty good service and everyone is friendly. The food here isn't very fresh and tastes kinda bland. Seafood options up here are a bit limited though. read more

Hadn't been here in a couple years, the last experience was great food with below average service. I was pleasantly surprised tonight. I would recommend the mahi-mahi, grilled shrimp, and sea scallops. We were underwhelmed by the catfish, but our server Justin said no problem, and switched my sons catfish to a grilled cheese and my husbands catfish to the mahi-mahi. Everyone there was amazing, working at a restaurant is not easy, and everyone kept smiling all evening! Would go back tomorrow if I could!!! read more

A nice casual restaurant with some great food. The service was excellent too. With a busy crowd on a Saturday our waiter still took the time to make great recommendations, brought out our food out fast, and had great attitude making sure to take care of us. Their special Sriracha seasoned crawfish was just the icing on the cake. read more

I really enjoyed my meal. I had the red fish. It didn't disappoint. The mosquitos outdoor were killer though. I took a star off for that.

First time here, cool spot with outside seating. Good staff, good prices, and great food. I'm updating to 5 stars, this is now my 9th visit here and as always, awesome food and great service. read more

Hands down favorite seafood joint for my entire family of 6. Especially during crawfish season.

Updated to 5 stars based on consistency. Been here quite a few times now and always had excellent food and service.

After a long wait to get my food I take the first bite and look down on my plate I noticed a long hair wrapped around my crab leg. It's not like it just fell on the plate it was actually cooked with my food. I lost my appetite and called over the waitress and asked to speak to a manager just to ask if the cooks are wearing hair nets no one ever came out to speak to us. Worst place to eat very dirty and customer service is horrible read more

Excellent casual seafood joint! I've been to a lot of local seafood huts because I love seafood so much, but most disappoint. They're either too heavy on fried food, don't know how to prepare some of the more delicate meats, or overcharge and underdeliver. Bluewater dodges all these pitfalls. They serve some of the best poboys you can get in the Spring area, and they do it for the same money you'd pay for a top-end burger. They do a great job with boiled seafood as well. The dining experience is casual and low-key in a way the best seafood joints normally are. There's nothing upscale about the place, other than the food. That's the way I like it. read more
