Came here specifically for crawfish... The service was exceptional and the menu offered a vast selection of seafood. We're just not sure the crawfish was exactly fresh -- more frozen + highly seasoned... Lots of work to peel these little guys. High marks for the service but will have to wait to cross the border to New Orleans for the real deal! read more

Bad service, bad food, too expensive. Our server took a ridiculous amount of time to get to us for everything. He was serving the table next to us as well. He went to refill the little girl's drink and it spilled all over the floor. He assured the family that he'd be back right away to clean up the mess. He never came back and some people ended up almost slipping on the water because it was never mopped up and there was nothing to caution people. My bff ordered the gumbo and the shrimp fried rice. I heard the gumbo was too salty and both were simply disappointing. Same went for other bff who ordered the fried oyster poboy. He couldn't even finish it. I ordered the stuffed avocado, onion rings, and I shared a crab cake with a friend. I had an amazing, almost religious, experience with a crab-stuffed avocado at The Union Kitchen on Bellaire. After that, I was craving stuffed avocado for weeks. When I saw that on the menu, I jumped at the chance even though it was stuffed with shrimp and mozzarella instead of crab. I should have taken this as a sign but my cravings were doing the talking. The mozzarella was not hot and was a bug clump inside the avocado. The shrimp was tepid. And I only got one half of an avocado for $8, whereas I got two amazing halves stuffed with CRAB at Union Kitchen for $12, and that one was 100x better. :( The crab cake was the best thing we ordered, even though it was more filler than crab. The onion rings had a funky aftertaste. Sadly, I will not be going back to see if it gets any better. read more

Josh was a great server! Will definitely be back to sit in his section!

I really liked the place, the food and staff friendly. We order oysters and they were fresh & delicious, boiled seafood (crab, crawfish, shrimp) and it was great. Totally worth it. read more

I just tried this restaurant after driving past it multiples times and I also had friends mention how great the seafood was here. I am extremely picky when it comes to seafood and this place hit the spot. My server was Lexi and she was so friendly and was great at explaining the menu. I ordered the Boudin balls and bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos and that was excellent, my entree was the blackened catfish and let me tell you it was cooked perfectly. I have had bad catfish in my time and this place was perfect! I will 100% be back and I recommend having Lexi as your server. read more

I was looking for a decent beer battered fish fry. Since I love the fried shrimp I thought I would give the fish a try. They had a special for a beer battered cod. The fish was good, and the batter was light, but the batter could have used a bit more zip taste-wise and of a crisper fashion. The coleslaw was fresh and light; the fries were crisp. The best part of my experience today was when I called prior to my arrival and gained much needed info from Lauren. My waitress, Anna Grace was another added positive as she was cheerful, alert, and went out of her way to make sure I had a great lunch. Thanks ladies! read more

I ordered online and my food was ready pretty fast. I got stuffed jalapeños and 2 catfish and fries. DELISH!!!!! Can't wait to come back and try other food on the menu. Soooo good! read more

Food and drinks were not good at all. This place lost their mojo. Staff is nice but spent way too much money for lunch for 2 adults and 1 kid... read more

Usually this is our go to place for Crawfish. I called ahead to check the size and was told they were medium. When I got home with my order the crawfish were 95% small and mushy. I also ordered banana pudding for dessert. They gave me bread pudding instead and it was completely stale. Needless to say we were disappointed with our food. No resolution was given for our poor experience. Too bad. We used to love this place. ‍ read more

Good and service is amazing and even to go service is great, great place to go to I love it.

We went for their anniversary special and got crabs, shrimp with potatoes and sausage. The food was seasoned well and came out hot and fresh. The crab was done two ways king crab clusters and a blue crab. As a little side dish this is served with boiled mushrooms. Oysters were fresh and tasty and were served on a tray of ice. The fried catfish was plentiful and very tasty. All in all a good meal. read more

We had quit coming here for a while because since Dakota left we hadn't found a server that could replace his service. I'm allergic to seafood, but it's our families favorite & they have the best blackened chicken and veggies...so it's a win either way as long as the server doesn't "forget" to leave the shrimp fried rice off of my plate! We decided to give it another shot a couple weeks ago & found Sean. Needless to say. We've come back 2 or 3 times since. Sean knows my order specifically by heart and it's been perfect every time! read more

Was in the Houston area for a visit and decided to go to Bluewater. Had some very unique entrées including the crab stuffed mushrooms that were amazing! I could eat there as a regular. Unfortunately I live a long ways away read more

I hadn't had crawfish in years and my husband picked the restaurant for dinner. The fried alligator and crawfish were amazing. The hush puppies were a little smaller than expected, but they were only $1.50. I will keep this place in mind next time I'd like crawfish. read more

The pistolet is my favorite item. Creamy sauce filled with crawfish inserted in a deep fried piece of french bread. The crawfish is a go-to buy. A local favorite for more than 10 years. read more

My friend in the Houston area drove up to Spring to visit since it had been so long since we last saw one another. As neither of us is familiar with the area we decided to stop in here. The servers were pleasant. The food was quick. We started off with shrimp nachos. They were standard tortilla chips with melted cheese and good size shrimp on top with some sour cream and jalapeños on top. No complaints. For our entrees we went with the 6 grilled shrimp dinner. It came with shrimp fried rice and green beans. I feel like something else too, but I can't remember. It was pretty good. The green beans were my favorite with a garlic flavor. The rice was good. It had a soy sauce flavor. Nothing about this place was extra special or extra delicious. It was just mediocre. Not sure if I'd be back or not. read more

I was craving crab cakes and was strolling through doordash when I decided to give Bluewater a chance. I didn't see a crab cake appetizer but i decided to order anyway. I got the fried alligator, crawfish queso, and hush puppies. I was really pleased with the flavor of all of the food. My food was still hot when i got it, so i know it wasn't sitting somewhere under a light. I will definitely order again. read more

We've gone here several times and overall is a good seafood place. Service is inconsistent. Sometimes it is great and a couple of times it was lacking. Food overall is good and if something isn't right they will try and fix it. We went here for Crawfish, they have all year but we like it best when in season. Mid February the size is a mix of big and tiny, which is to be expected. The flavor is amazing. Cooked perfectly and seasoned right. I like their cajun seasoning on the table to dip the tails in. On Tuesdays they do a special buy 4 lbs get 1 free. Also, we tried their fried pickles. You get a lot in an order definitely 4 people can share. It's crispy, not soggy or greasy. Again sprinkle the cajun seasoning to add a bit of spice. read more

This is a serious disagreement and not the food they say it is. I get better food at the grocery store. This place is nasty and the catfish is not real catfish. It's gross.. read more

Food was pretty good. Service was beyond slow. It took us waving our hands at the server for minutes just to get his attention. When we did order drinks it took a long time for how empty the restaurant was. None of our questions were answered when asked about the menu. The server was stumbling and slurring. We asked for pricing about the boil that we ordered and it came out to three times the cost of what was told. We weren't worried about pricing but whenever you're blatantly overcharged it is annoying. The server refused to split the check between three people resulting in us having a gratuity added on. I always tip a minimum of 20% but it felt very forced all for 15%. We told our server ahead of time how checks would be split and he was very rude and dismissed the conversation. At the end of our unpleasant experience we reminded him of how our checks should be split and he said "well I put y'all three together so y'all can figure it out." Maybe it was just the laziness of the server but we didn't have a good experience. We will not be coming back although we enjoyed the food. It felt like an uncomfortable atmosphere and the service was horrible. read more

We're been here 2x now with friends and both times were great. Always have to order a Pistoli (yikes, how to spell!) Seafood platter is loaded with lots of food so can easily be shared. Pass on the stuffed avocado, very boring & bland. read more

This is probably my new favorite crawfish place. The outside is nice and when you walk in you are greeted by the hostess. I must say I almost didn't try the crawfish since the hostess told me not to expect nothing major since it's not in season and since she had not tried it she couldn't speak on the flavor. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit. However, we were not helped, we had to flag a young man to take our order. After, he took our order he was very attentive. Thank you Jamison!! Now the food... Wow! Is all I can say, definitely made up for the wait. The crawfish was sooo delicious. I had the extra spicy crawfish. My boyfriend's Mexican shrimp cocktail was full of good size shrimp. All in all, we are looking forward to our next visit. This time I'll try their cocktails and appetizers. I'll definitely get the boiling pot again! read more

Bluewater was always a favorite spot of ours, but not after our recent visit. We had snow crab & crawfish - neither tasted fresh, the wait was reasonable, our waiter, Bryan was forgetful & seemed off a little, the manager, I can't remember his name, was really nice though. Overall, very disappointing compared to previous visits. It may be worth trying out another local seafood spot. read more

Good food, our family has been going here since they opened, when the mother, Eileen, was in charge. The food has always been great, the only issue for me is the service. When I go during the day there is a gentleman who works the small section near the kitchen, his is ALWAYS spot in. However the young ladies who work the front, to go orders and the like, seem like they're always confused. Even the manager usually seems like she has no idea what's going on, at least with my orders. Can't win them all I guess, just an observation. read more

Horrible service- 4 times we had to stop the waitress to fill our empty glasses, not once did she ask us. The food was alright the fried shrimp I ordered taste like they came straight from their freezer, not fresh straight from the gulf. The food is really good and the service was outstanding. I don't usually give good reviews unless the place deserves it. Bluewater seafood on 2920 was really good to me. The server Dakota was very attentive and the manager gave me free drinks to see if I liked them. They were delicious! By the way the environment was really cool too. Made me feel like I wasn't on a major road. Cool mermaid decor and coo bar area. Thank you Bluewater employees. I'll be back! read more

During the corona virus called for dinner that I would pickup. Showed up to a large group of people waiting for their dinner's as well. Thank you for the hard work under stressful conditions. Oh, my dinner was great. Hot, fresh. Will be back for sure. read more
