Smoothie SUCKED. So lumpy that it got stuck in my straw, making my straw unusable, and not good. Almond butter was not blended and stuck to the sides of the cup. This was a smoothie that I would make at home and my mom would say "That does not look good." Before I ordered I asked the server what the protein powder was in one of the smoothies and she said, annoyed, "just regular vegan protein powder." Thank you for those details, girl. Wanted to check out the spring matcha from Bluestone. It is a nice space with ample seating on West Broadway. Nice that it opens early and service is quick. I stopped in here briefly because I was craving a matcha and they were closest to me. I got the Blue Laveder Matcha Cloud and if I drank it blindly, I'd have guessed it was fruity pebbles milk. This is the worst bluestone lane location I ever have been to. It's an insult to the company's reputation. They have no idea how to make a latte and they also can't make any of the food or drinks nearly as well as other locations. Also, the interior design is horrible and makes no sense. The bathroom is right next to the kitchen which feels unsanitary. The staff is also very rude. As soon as you walk in they come up to you and make you feel like you're not supposed to be there. Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon this cute coffee spot while walking in the city and it did not disappoint, the menu items are priced about what you would expect in the city but they have many creative options! We got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the BL Burrito and both were very good. The food was seasoned very well and the coffee made by our barista Megan was even better. I got the Aussie Nog latte and it was absolutely divine! The service took a little bit but we came at a bit of a busy time so it was understandable. Our waiter Callan gave us great banter and was very accommodating and friendly. Me and my girlfriend will certainly be coming back here next time we are in tribeca and we already have our eyes on a couple other coffees and dishes on the menu! We also learned there are several other locations in the city that we will definitely be trying. Food was actually not too bad, love the base of the avocado toast, well seasoned but the poached egg on top was overcooked and the gravlax tasted too "fishy" for my liking (yes, i know its fish but if done well, should not taste that way). The Piccolo (w/ oat milk) actually tasted pretty good, quite pricey for an espresso shot + oat milk but good enough only if it was served hot and not luke warm.. It felt like dining at the airport tbh. Our pancakes and fries arrived cold... Coffee was bitter. The air ventilation is also very bad inside, it was so stuffy on a winter day. Bathroom was dirty. Back then they were part of Level up app and now they have their own app, which occasionally gives you a free coffee! Dining experience: The location staff here are great, super polite and helpful. Love the menu BUT they NEVER have all the ingredients that are supposed to be served with dishes. For example, the Wedges with sour cream and sweet chili sauce. I've ordered this 5x in the hopes, just once, I'd get the two condiments the menu states. And not once have a ever received the dish as stated. They always say "we're out". Just walk 300ft to the corner market and purchase the ingredients you never have or CHANGE the menu. **My review maybe biased as I'm Australian** This place was conveniently located across from our hotel and was our go-to every morning. Service- exceptional! My son had nut allergies and team here took care of our order without any issues. They were very friendly and followed all the Covid protocols. Place is very clean and has a good amount of seats at the back. Coffee- yummy !!! Their chai latte was the best I've ever had. Coming from the coffee city, seattle with a wide variety of coffees to choose from this place just had the best coffee beans or maybe the barrister was really good at coffee making. Whatever it be, coffees was yum. Between the four of us we tried everything coffee from their menu. It was awesome to see flat white on their menu. Food- glazed donuts ? Yummy! My son crushed two daily. Their athlete burrito was soooo good and filling you won't have room for lunch. We walked around NYC so this was good fuel to keep us going. Portions are generous and it may not look like it but the amount of yumminess inside that burrito fills you up and you need room to enjoy their yummy coffee. Price- it's NY so comparable but definitely more reasonable than our daily coffee/breakfast at our hotel. If in NY check this place out. This place looked adorable so we decided to try it as it was right near my hotel. I really should have looked at the reviews/star ratings first. Service was so slow and disorganized. I ordered the yogurt, which comes with granola, lemon curd, and berries. I asked for peanut butter instead of granola due to food allergies. I saw peanut butter as an ingredient in the smoothies so I figured it should be quite simple to substitute. Our server acted like I asked them for something ridiculous and told me he wasn't sure if it was possible but he could try. I mean, either you can or can't. I don't know what there is to "try" but it seemed to involve a lot of clicking on the iPad ordering screen. My mom got toast with almond butter and 2 eggs. My brother got the breakfast bowl. I ordered the Melbourne brekkie tea, despite the server not be able to tell me what it was. When our food came, my mom didn't have any almond butter with her toast but I had something on my plate that looked unlike peanut butter. My mom told them her order was incorrect and they told her they were out of almond butter. I then asked what the runny substance with my yogurt was and he said, almond butter..... After he just said they were out. I said that I had a nut allergy so he took it off my plate (it was in a metal condiment cup) and went to ask someone else what it was. He then brought it back and gave it to my mom. The portion of yogurt was about 3 spoonfuls. There was more peanut butter (when he finally brought it over) than yogurt. My brother's breakfast bowl proportions were also strange. It was about 90% greens and 10% other ingredients (egg, farro, avocado, tomato). The greens were also not warm/wilted as is common for a breakfast bowl- it was a salad with toppings. My mom's eggs were inedible with a greenish/brown color and so greasy. We had to complain to the desk and they were reasonable in addressing and rectifying the situation. My yogurt "toppings" were fine but I also felt fairly sure it was Skippy or Jiff pb and grocery store-bought jarred lemon curd. If you want a tasty breakfast, walk a few blocks down to the Square Diner. read more
