Always a great meal. Solidly, consistent quality and service. Linda served us today. Quick to the table and very attentive. Inside decorated to please the eye. Place was dang busy for a lunch hour. Pretty much every table taken. We had the Asian Chicken wrap with chips and the hot Turkey and cheese sandwich with chips. Two glasses of Hibiscus tea to quench the thirst. Sandwiches were excellent, Wrap was loaded with perfectly prepared vegetables sliced to perfection and came with a nice Asian dressing - light and tasty. Bread on the Turkey sandwich toasted perfectly and dressed with a cherry jam for butter. Really enjoyed our meal. Asked for Hibiscus tea for the road and off we went. Highly recommend without any reservations ... my go to place in Sturgeon Bay. read more

We stopped for lunch on our way back home from door county. What a great restaurant with fresh ingredients. They even have a beautiful garden out back. The curry chicken salad was out of this world, and I only wish that I lived closer. read more

Bluefront Café in Sturgeon Bay is an absolute standout. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it's hands down the best I've ever had....this is a must! My friend ordered the Cubano sandwich and loved it, and another friend had the avocado toast with egg salad on sourdough, which was thoughtful, fresh, and elevated far beyond the usual café fare. The service was amazing...warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. This is way above average, intentional food made by people who truly care. Easily a must-stop in Door County. read more

Great food with fantastic side salad I ordered along with my chicken curry sandwich. Good service and great ambience.

This place was wonderful and so worth it! We had our dogs with us and the outside seating was shaded and comfortable. We ordered them breakfast sliders and the chef was ya concerned about the onions in it. They offered a substitute of burge or bacon - how thoughtful!!! They brought a bowl of water and served their food in dog bowls. On top of all of that, our food was delicious!! Everything was fresh and prepped and presented with love . The coffee was wonderful. The whole vibe was perfect. Our server CHRIS was the absolute best! He was kind and helpful and pleasant - it made everything even bette! He said lunch is just as amazing. Thanks again Chris . So, if you're looking in a fabulous spot to eat, with or without doggos, you have to try this place! It's off the charts!!! read more

We were in Sturgeon Bay doing some shopping and I did a Google search for vegetarian restaurants and Bluefront came up and we decided to give it a try. Loved it. Very cute place with some really interesting food with lots of vegetarian options but also lots of meat based dishes as well. I tried the Banh Mi and it was amazing. Its 5-spice marinated grilled pork, pickled daikon & carrot, cilantro, cucumber, Sriracha-lime mayo, on rustic roll. Lots of flavor and the pork was very tender and had great flavor. I also tried the soup of the day which was smoked ham with mushrooms and was very full of flavor. My wife ordered an Asian bowl with tofu and it was loaded with tons of fresh vegetables in a spicy asian broth. She loved it and it was served warm and was a huge serving. Very nice find and can't wait to go back in the Summer to check out the patio and the breakfast options. read more

Beautiful cafe. Exactly what I was looking for in a lunch cafe. Friendly staff, delicious food. The place has charm and character. Definitely deserves repeat business. read more

My favorite place to get lunch in Sturgeon Bay! They have a good sized menu with a variety of vegetarian options. Many things can also be made GF or vegan upon request. Do note that there has been a wait each time I've been here. Sometimes it's 30 minutes, sometimes it's 3! Either way, it's worth the wait, but maybe have a little snack because the food can take a bit of time to come out too. My favorite thing to order in the Banh Mi Rice bowl with Tofu. It is such a beautiful assortment of veggies, some pickled, and some perfect for dipping. It makes for a fresh and healthy option that is quite filling. My wife enjoys the Banh Mi sandwich. She did try the Po Boy veganized, but felt it was missing something this time around. I have not tried firsthand but the Asian Chicken Wrap is very popular amongst our family members. Defintely get the fries as a side! They are simply the best. Service is always friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking around the neighborhood or in the lot diagonal of the restaurant. The space is clean and airy, perfect for a lunch stop. Tons of outdoor seating as well. Do yourself a favor and visit Bluefront! read more

This place was a perfect spot for lunch while visiting a friend up in Sturgeon Bay! It was lunch hour and the place was very busy but we were able to be sat right away. The restaurant was very clean and the server was very friendly. The place was pretty busy considering it was lunch hour so the service did take a bit. Unfortunately, my friend had to go back to work as soon as the food arrived and had to take her food to go. I ordered the Noodle Bowl with pork belly. Overall, it was pretty good! The pork was cooked well and it was a nice warm meal on a cold day! My friend got the fish tacos, which later she said were pretty good. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot to anybody visiting the area! read more

Wonderful food - we had the Apple Cherry wrap with turkey and the curry chicken salad. Also the cherry mimosa -yum!

This is so vegetarian friendly I had a hard time making a choice. Fresh veggies and house made pickles in salads and sandwiches, including a chicken wrap and a banh mi -- traditional or with tofu. The place is cute and spotless. Service friendly. If you want an Asian inspired lunch with incredibly fresh veggies, check it out. Try the sesame-ginger dressing! Highly recommended read more

Yelp steered us here and I'm glad. Everyone was extremely nice and our waiter was incredibly professional. The place is not large so expect a wait, but maybe not. We arrived when there was a very large group still eating. When they left, 4 tables opened up immediately. The muffuletta was huge. Lots of meat and cheese. Even though the fresh spinach and the bread are not traditional, my husband said it was the best he ever had- and he is a New Orleans muffuletta fanatic. The Bahn Mi sandwich was also a treat. Filled with fresh veggies and a nice amount of roast pork. I have to mention the fries. Even though an up charge, our waiter suggested we go for it. We ate every last one, and we got a lot! We think they were beer battered, unfortunately we forgot to ask. We ate so much, we didn't have dinner that day. read more

We had a really great lunch here on memorial day weekend, 2023. I don't think they are normally open on Mondays, but they were and they were hopping. I got a burger with coleslaw and we also got Asian chicken wrap and pozole soup It took a while for the food to come but we were not in a hurry. Repeat visit. Different dish. Had the Tuna Poke bowl. Amazing. Just the right amounts of ingredients and served with an ice tea. Yum. Could have easily split this and had a soup. My waitress was pleasant, efficient, attentive and friendly. Clean & stylish interior with a popular patio out back. Definitely recommended.... Again. The slight drawback are the hours. 1100-1500hrs. read more

The food and service at the Bluefront Cafe are always excellent. We go out of our way to stop in for lunch when we are in that part of the State. The restaurant is a little off the beaten path, but worth the trip. It's a quaint little place, right on the bay. It wasn't very busy when we went for lunch, but the service was super. One of my FAVORITE restaurants in all of Door County! I've been coming up for a few years now and my first stop is always Bluefront Cafe. Its menu is diverse and seasonal. Nice find off the strip! Venture two blocks off the main drag to stop into this amazing spot! There is something for everyone, including kids and vegans! The food here is SO GOOD. I've been here twice now and tried multiple things and the flavor is always top tier. The only reason ima give it 4/5 is because the wait for the food to come out each time has been roughly 45mins after ordering. Love the menu and quality of food. This place is excellent. Never had a bad meal and have been there countless times!

Saturday in early October finds us in Door county Wisconsin my wife and I are travelling around and enjoying the perfect fall weather here. Looking for a lunch spot finds us in Sturgeon Bay, and after looking at the Yelp app I decided to pull in here and park on the street. we arrived at 12:45 on a Saturday to find a 40 minute wait but undaunted we settled in, while the waiting area is smallish we could have ordered a beer or other beverage to help pass the time. Looking over the menu and I have to say it is deceptively simple, I am usually really good at seeing between the lines having written a few menus myself. Yet perhaps it was the rumble in my belly that distracted me or the great conversation with my lady I was not prepared for what was to come. We both ordered cheese burgers, and the fact they make half pound patties by hand was evident when we got them. The fries were so good, some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Talking to our server they pride themselves on homemade food and the best ingredients, many of which come from the small garden out back or from local farmers. If I lived in the area I would come here twice or more a week! read more

Great food and great service. We came in to order some takeout and they were very good at letting us know how long our food would take. We were originally told 15 min but it was all ready in 10. We ordered the Turkey & Brie sandwich with house fries and the grilled cheese with the house potato salad. Botha ere very good, I would have liked a little seasoning salt on the house fried and potato salad but other than that, very good food and great service. Would definitely come back for brunch if we're back in town! read more

Absolutely loved everything we had! I ordered the turkey brie sandwich and my fiancé ordered the special thanksgiving sandwich. We decided to go here for lunch. We arrived around 1130am and the place was mostly empty. By 12:15p there was a long line to get in. This is definitely a happening place to go. They have good friendly service. Our server was helpful and made sure to inform about nut allergy. Most of their food items contain cashew so if some is severely allergic to nuts, I would not recommend this place. Their kids grilled cheese was average as it was just white bread with couple of cheeses. Their vegetarian brie was a mix of grill cheese, sweets, and nuts. The crunchy taco kale salad was good and their fries were battered and tasty. Overall a good place to go when in town. read more

What a perfect, cozy diner this was. While it was surprising that they are only open for about four hours a day, I am very glad we were able to eat here, while they were open. We also arrived just as they were opening the doors. Thankfully, because within 30 minutes there was a considerable wait. The food was excellent! My turkey and brie sandwich was heavenly. All the flavors came across beautifully. It feels odd to rave about something as simple as a turkey sandwich. However, this sandwich far exceeded any others I have had. My fiancé had one of their salads which was colorful, fresh, and from what she told me incredibly tasty. I wish we were not here on vacation because this would easily become a go to spot for us. read more

A must stop when I'm in Sturgeon Bay! With two vegetarians in the family sometimes it can be hard to find a place with meaningful options for them and that is NOT a problem here - and the carnivores in the family have plenty of options too! I just love their soup creations and end up taking some to go for Monday's lunch when here on the weekend. It's a bright, airy, clean and friendly space with lovely staff. The flavors are always on point and there is a fantastic beverage selection. read more

Awesome food. THE BEST place for lunch around the peninsula. Lovely seating and comfortable tables. Pleasant, understated decor with enough space between tables to make you comfortable. This has been a long time favorite because of great service. They have kept a wonderful team for the last five-plus years. It's not large, so if you have to wait a bit of a table, know it is worth the wait. read more

I understand the need to insure all servers have tables, but to be kept standing at the door ten minutes, with no one ahead of you and six tables open and prepped is unpleasant. as was the hostess Saturday afternoon, a first, and I've been a customer here since their prior location, over 20 years. The couple to be seated ahead of me were kept waiting ten minutes also, even though the table they were eventually seated at was prepped and ready, all that time. Food is fine, if slightly overpriced. Hasn't changed much in ten years. Otherwise pleasant setting. read more

Love to support local businesses whenever I can, so we ordered takeout from here while visiting the area. It was easy to order through a quick phone call and the food was ready on time. We ordered a couple of burgers, grilled cheese, and turkey sandwich. All was done to perfection and tasted amazing. I tend to feel reluctant ordering take out from a place I've never been before, but I would definitely do it again and would be happy to dine in sometime. read more
