Delicious breakfast sandwich bursting with veggies!

This is my favorite place to eat in Jackson Port. A gem of a place just bursting with creative energy and relaxed, eclectic ambiance. All the food is really great and made with care. All the baked goods I have tried in the last 15 years are fantastic including scones, cookies and pies. Excellent experience!

This quirky cafe/bakery is a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. All of the breads and pastries are made on-site, making for delicious sandwiches, biscotti, lemon bars, cherry pies and more. Simple menu includes lots of tasty salads made with locally grown veggies and extras like goat cheese rounds and/or whitefish cakes. Breakfast served all day. Be sure to fill out a Daily Doily comment card.

    Smoked Whitefish with poached eggs

Every time we eat here we keep muttering two things between us. 1.) This is the jewel in the crown of Door County and we're soooo lucky that it's in Jacksonport. 2). They need a sign that says "Breakfast and Lunch." I should add that we've polled numerous friends that visit Door County and everyone thinks it's simply a bakery. Of course, it's not only a bakery. It's the best breakfast place in Door County; probably in the state. It's a five star breakfast. Yes, at around $12 bucks a person (avg.) it's not as cheap as some. But it's worth every dime. We've had, at one point or another, virtually every breakfast on the menu. Each is spectacular, beautifully presented and always accompanied by a artistic assemblage of fresh (and consistently perfectly ripe) fruit. The smoked whitefish cakes with poached eggs is a particular favorite. 'Colonel Mustard in the Garden' is another favorite. There's one breakfast that looks like an American flag; bacon strips serving as stripes with cheese stars in one corner. Everything is fresh and beautiful. (See the photos.) Lunch sandwiches are assembled with generous portions on thick bread. It's the kind of sandwich that you bite into and think, "now this is a sandwich!" You get your own coffee, which is the most inspired thing about this place. You walk in, pick your own table and head for coffee bar even before the waitress has noticed you're there. No waiting for 10 minutes for coffee here. I want to hand out two stars just for that! Every waitress that has ever served on us at Town Hall Bakery has been cheerful and friendly. The owner (middle aged, dark hair) is virtually always around. He appears shy at first, but just ask a question and he's happy to talk. What else can I say? There is EXTREMELY interesting art on the walls and around the restaurant. The unmistakable painting, "The Rower," is particularly memorable. The place is atmospheric, but not in the way the word may imply;it's light and airy feeling. It colorful, slightly chaotic, decidedly funky. It's a cheerful place with an excellent soundtrack to match. Location: Across from the Catholic Church in Jacksonport, WI.

Okay, we almost walked out because the prices were a little much for small quantity of food but the yelp reviews drew us back. The breakfast food was out of this world. Creative dishes. Fresh, perfectly ripe fruit. Amazing mustard cream sauce that was delicious despite the fact that I don't like how strong mustard normally is. Everything was great. The bill was worth it.

Good breakfast and the guy who runs it is very friendly. I've been here twice and it's been very hot inside (like a sauna). Clearly no air conditioning inside. Some people might be ok with it being so hot, but I personally can't stand sweating while I eat.

Marvelous! We love breakfasting here when we're in Door County. Delicious, and the presentation is divine.

Wonderful! I don't know how they always find the best fruit, but they really do. Delicious and the presentation is fantastic.

Thanks Yelp for not letting pass up a tasty breakfast. Great presentation and flavor.

Mini cherry pie from Town Hall Bakery + milk = yummy breakfast.

TL;DR: Excellent customer service, friendly, and followed through with my request, even a week after I had made it. A few weeks ago my father in-law messaged me asking to keep an eye open for New Belgium Oakspire beer. It's a limited release and he was a fan last year (which was a chore to find) and he wasn't to get some if I ran across any. I went to New Beligiums website and found that the nearest grocery store that carried it was Econofoods in Sturgeon Bay. Sturgeon Bay is a 2 hour drive from my home, but I like taking drives and it was autumn so I figured, screw it, I will take half a day off work and take a drive to get some beer for my in-law (and a 6 pack for myself). I called Econofoods asking if they had the beer. They took my number down and said they would check and call me back. The made good on this and called me in about 15 minutes, letting me know that they had the beer and that they would set however many I wanted aside for me to come and pick up. It was raining cats and dogs when I left, so my idea of a nice autumn drive went out the window. Even better, once I got into town my cars check engine light came on. I didn't think much of it, but almost immediately after getting onto bridge on 57 my car gave me a warning that my transmission was overheating. Yikes! I pulled over, found a mechanic, and got into a loner car and then headed over to Econofoods. They tons of the beer I was looking for, I loaded up the cart (completely forgetting that they had set aside beer for me) and headed home. A week later, about when I was going to return to pick up my car, I received a voice mail from Econofoods saying that they still had my beer up at the desk and asked me if I was going to be coming in to pick it up. A WEEK LATER. I felt like a total dick for leaving them hanging like that, but was taken back by the fact that not only had they held onto it for me, but that they took the time to call me back and leave me a message. Needless to say when I picked up my car I swung over to Econofoods, apologized for waiting so long to pick up my beer, and bought the 3 6 packs they set aside for me.

The vibe is super cute and even on a dreary day this place was warm and inviting. It's Swedish inspired and feels super cozy. Service is top notch! We were promptly greeted and ordered a few complex coffee drinks. Staff didn't even bat an eye! I had one of their Fall specialty drinks (pumpkin toffee latte) and was able to get it iced and made with skim milk. They have a big selection of pastries and sweets and it seems like they have a rotating selection of a gluten-free item. The day I was there it was a peanut butter banana muffin with a cream cheese frosting. It was awesome! Highly recommend. Can't wait to be back!

Yesterday we ordered 3 Turkey Ole rolls with fresh fruit and some cinnamon rolls to go. When we opened them there was no fruit. Instead there was pasta salad which no one wanted. Nothing was awful but there seems to be some sloppiness in the food prep area that may lead to bigger issues if not addressed.
