This place is off the hook. Great Service and amazing Sushi Rolls . Would highly recommend !

We went here Friday evening with another couple. I had made reservations online for the 4 of us. My husband and I arrived first and the hostess was very confused about what, I am not sure! Finally, she realized that, Yes, I'd like to be seated to wait for our friends. Another gentleman apologized for the confusion and brought us an ice bucket for our wine. The menus are tri folded PAPER, like you'd receive as a takeout menu. Very odd. There isn't much to the atmosphere, it's very bare. I thought it would be more upscale actually. Our server was not friendly at all. She came to the table and only said, "Are you ready"? We put in some appetizers...Shrimp Shumai (very good, standard) The oysters (quality of oysters was good but sauce was overpowering, almost bitter) Edamame (very good, large portion) and the Chilean Sea Bass (this was unique and delicious. The fish was buttery and very flavorful.) We had so many appetizers that we just ordered a roll each. I ordered the "no name roll ll" (???) it was very good. The others in my party weren't wowed or very impressed with their choices. They are all experienced sushi eaters. Overall, this is not somewhere I'd be anxious to return to. I much prefer Umami right down the street. read more

Great restaurant atmosphere and dinner! The sushi was fresh and creative. The service was excellent. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. read more

I've been to popular Japanese restaurants in all of the largest US cities and Bluefin is by far the best tasting food I've had, beats everyone else. Outstanding food, presentation and service. Where did you come from? I will be back again. read more

Chilean Seabass entree is the best I've had anywhere in the world - bar none! Everything we have had at Bluefin is scores better than any comparable restaurant. Atmosphere is perfect, everyone is exceptionally professional and helpful, besides being friendly. Lunch and dinners are both the same level of excellence. read more

This is as good as it gets when it comes to high quality premium sushi. I have enjoyed the chef's omakase (tasting) several times and each time I am blown away at how tasteful the sushi is. I've been to many top sushi places across the globe and this ranks up there with all of them in terms of quality and presentation of traditional Japanese sushi. read more

If you know sushi, this is the place to try. The rice is perfect-shiny, individual grains with just the right cohesion. The fish is fresh. Unusual fish, interesting specials. On my visit tonight, they had 4 species of grouper, wild Japanese snapper, Uni, and others. If you remember what sushi was like before it became a commodity on every corner, you need to come here. These people are serious about the craft. read more

Bluefin Eagleview - Japanese Near Me - Exton, Pennsylvania

So happy to see Bluefin out west! Long-time fan of the original Bluefin, which is like the "Cheers" of sushi bars - super friendly and personal and absolutely the best sushi around. Everything at Eagleview was fantastic - and we had quite a sampling: sea urchin sushi and salmon sashimi, a spicy salmon hand roll, tuna and arugula salad, "Claremont" roll (aka "MVP" at the original BF) and cooked sea bass. Service was great, too. Plan to be a regular there! Thanks, Yong and team! read more

Terrible. Food bad horrible wait staff and totally unprepared I think it should be shut down

Excellent food! Bluefin Eagleview is The latest and best addition to restaurant row. The sushi was fresh, the waitresses were great and the atmosphere was pleasant. I will make this my regular stops for . The quality to the sushi seems to be far superior to the other sushi place I have tried in the area. BYOB is also a great added benefit. read more

My wife and I went here for date night and it was fantastic! We are very critical of restaurants and this was the best sushi we have had in a long time. Hostess and waiter were extremely pleasant, great place! read more

Bluefin Eagleview - The best sushi we have had locally in a long time. Great waitstaff too! - Japanese Near Me - Exton, Pennsylvania

Took my parents here for dinner. I've been to sushi restaurants all over the US. This was without a doubt the best sushi I've had. Staff was extremely tentative and pleasant. GM stopped by and was very nice. The head sushi chef knows how to put together the most delicious maki. It's also byob which is always wonderful. Will be back even though I live an hour away. My father could not stop saying wow while having the Bentley roll. Thanks bluefin! read more

AMAZING! We went here for our anniversary. It was perfect! The staff was extremely friendly and the FOOD!! oh my, the food. It was out of this world. So fresh, everything melted in our mouths. We had the spicy tuna sundae, toro sashimi appetizer, and a couple of rolls. If you like sushi, run to Bluefin you will not be disappointed. Best Sushi in the area, hands down! I can't wait to go back. read more

This was a great place to spend our anniversary. Food was presented well and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back and it may become one of our favorite places! read more

Normally like this place but tonight we ordered takeout and it was not worth the $60 that we spent. The chicken teriyaki was over done and only provided with a very small serving of rice. The sushi didn't taste as fresh as usual and actually gave me a little bit of an upset stomach. Will try again another time but for now, not so impressed. read more

Tried Bluefin Eagleview for the first time last night. Nice location in Eagleview, restaurant has modern decor, comfortable seating, the tables are not too close together so you can have a conversation with your tablemates. BYOB is nice feature. The menu is primarily sushi. If you go with non-sushi eating friends or relatives, beware--there are very limited options for those folks. Edamame is the best value on the menu, $5 for a big bowl of hot steaming edamame. Husband had chicken teriyaki, generous portion with rice, but nothing special. I had the rainbow roll and the philadelphia roll. The sushi is high quality and the presentation is nice. The menu is a la carte, only a couple of entrees come with miso soup or salad. For example, my husband's dinner entree did not come with miso soup or salad--this should be re-evaluated by the restaurant. We had a nice meal, but we won't return. It's very pricey, and there are many close by sushi and Japanese restaurants that offer more for the money with comparable quality. read more

Went for our anniversary and loved it. We had a few of the specials and everything was delicious. The staff were accommodating and attentive and I would highly recommend going here. read more

Had an amazing time entertaining clients here Friday evening. The quality and presentation of the food is out of this world and it's great to finally have good sushi here in the Exton area. The tuna sundae, oyster mushroom roll, bikini roll, pork shumai, and beef avo maki are fabulous. The atmosphere was perfect, allowing for great conversation and lots of fun. Bluefin is a BYOB so make sure to grab a bottle on your way over. We're looking forward to our next visit. If you're looking for a great sushi experience in Chester County, look no further than Bluefin. You won't regret it. read more

I was so lucky to dine at this fabulous sushi restaurant during my business visit to Eagleview. I had the luncheon Binto Box that served shrimp tempura and dumplings, along with spicy tuna, salmon and delicious California rolls. All ingredients were fresh and the service was outstanding. Being greeted enthusiastically by Josh, the manager, added a special touch! I will be back!! read more

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Explains rolls. Quick service! And nice atmosphere! Our new favorite place for sushi!

What a treasure to have a top notch sushi restaurant in the charming village of Eagleview. Typically you wouldn't see a sushi restaurant of this caliber outside of a urban setting. The staff and the service are excellent and I 'm very excited they recently decided to offer take out. read more

Excellent Sushi and Sashimi ! Service was wonderful. Ordered the Omakase and it was 8 courses of pure bliss. Located in Eagleville Town Center, it is a cosy little spot. BYOB. Second visit: (Friday evening) We were seated promptly but then we were quickly forgotten about for 30 minutes until we had to flag down a server. After this the meal went well with a good save from out server but some management issues were evident this visit. Will keep the 5 stars but on next visit the 5 stars rating is at risk. read more

Hands down the best sushi I have ever had. The service was superior. The only problem is , I'm ruined from eating sushi anywhere else.

Creative, amazing Japanese cuisine and sushi. We dined Tues 9/19 with our neighbors, some were trying this new restaurant in Eagleview Town Center for the first time. Husband and I enjoyed the miso baked eggplant, beef avo maki, along with chilean sea bass and we followed with the Stockton Roll (shrimp, crab, avocado) and Wellington Roll (salmon, tuna). Next time we plan to be more adventurous with ordering, as we were happy to see their new full menu....many dishes we want to try! We are excited to have this new Japanese Sushi restaurant (BYOB) in Eagleview. Although the restaurant was busy with some large groups, service was very good. Recommended. read more

Bluefin has the best quality sushi in the metro-Philly area, including that of some big name sushi restaurants in the city. We've been there several times, and haven't had a bad meal yet. The focus is on the food, which is where it should be. We've had sushi all across the country, as well as in other countries, and Bluefin is right up there with the best we've had. I would point out that negative comments about the menu or staff are from when the restaurant first opened, and I would highly suggest those people give it another try. All new restaurants experience bumps early on, and Bluefin is no exception, but the service is definitely better as the staff gets to know the menu better. Julie, in particular, has been our favorite waitress; she's very sweet and gets better each time we're there. Sushi is expensive, and if you are a lover of sushi, you know that already. Sure, there are restaurants in the area that provide better value, but personally, I'd rather have the highest quality sushi possible. That being said, I don't think Bluefin is a lot more expensive than other sushi restaurants in the area, and I believe the quality makes it well worth it. If you appreciate great quality sushi, do yourself a favor and go to Bluefin. If you're adventurous and want a real treat, have the Chef's Omakase. So, so good! read more

Celebrated birthday there last night and we loved everything! We started with 2 salads, tropical salad and heirloom tuna tatami. Both spectacular in taste and presentation. Next sushi round was also delightful. We ordered several small plate options as well. The only item ordered that I would say was not the best was the shrimp dumplings. I would pass on the dumplings next time. We were offered complimentary ice cream for dessert and received a whopping portion, which I loved and appreciated. The waitress appeared rather new and English communication was minimal. But overall we loved the atmosphere and will be returning often! read more

Hands down best Sushi in Exton/Downingtown area. Comparable to sushi spots in Philly! The fish is always super fresh, melt in your mouth, delicious. From their sushi to their rolls, to their hot meals, everything is super yummy! Definitely worth a visit! read more

This is in one of those faux-villages that seem to have sprung up, but so worth going out of the way for it. Staff is attentive, though on a Saturday night you might need to ask for more water. It is BYOB but not a big deal. Didn't have room for dessert but enjoyed the food. Drunken scallops were amazing and my sister enjoyed the eggplant. Sushi is of top notch quality - not just the mainstream salmon but also the arctic char and fluke. Wasabi was not overpowering. Ginger wasn't the pink stuff either. My husband got the tuna sampler and loved it (though didn't notice much of a difference in the home-made soy sauce) - if you get it, eat it all - the daikon, the shiso leaf and even the orchid. Those at the table who ordered the rolls enjoyed them too - and the CA roll includes real crab! A bit crowded and loud at times, but not terrible. Make reservations though to be safe. read more

OK but over the top and overpriced. I've had much better meals down the road at Murasaki and to a lesser degree, Umami.

Went for lunch on a Friday. Not crowded, so we were seated immediately. The sushi and the tempura were both very good.

Outstanding service and an absolutely delicious array of sushi and sashimi!!! Food presentation was awesome and everything was prepared with such care! You won't be disappointed.... make the trip to Eagleview!!!!! read more

FAntastic Sushi. Very fresh. Well presented and prepared. The staff was great and we even got complimentary ice cream for dessert.

So disappointed. The food is below standards for Japanese cuisine. Japanese is supposed to be fresh but the food in the bento boxes appeared that it had been frozen and thawed before it was served to us. The Chilean sea bass was served cold and over cooked. It definitely sat a while because the sauce had congealed. The server did not know how to serve. We had to seek her out to order etc.. she was clueless... such a shame I started to feel bad for her. There was five of us in the group and our meals were served to us at different times. All meals were cold. Do not order the miso soup. It was extremely salty and you guessed it... COLD! We do not plan on going back and will tell our many friends the same. read more

My husband and I spent our date night a few Saturdays ago at Blue Fin and what a treat! We had a reservation at 7 and we were greeted immediately and promptly seated. We started with the Tuna Tataki which came with a large salad. Much bigger than you would expect to be honest so it was great to share and tasted wonderful. We ordered the Bikini roll (our favorite - saved for last), the new rainbow roll, the BEST Philly roll we have ever had!, the Ai Maki roll, a salmon and avocado roll -(can't remember the name) and some salmon sashimi. Everything was wonderful! We brought our own bottle of white, glasses were provided and there was no cork fee. Toward the end of our dinner, the GM, John, came to our table to ask about our experience. He commented on our choices and offered an "off menu" item we might like, so we went for it. It was hand roll - I do not remember the name but it had scallops in it. It was delish! Our server was attentive but not overbearing which was nice. The restaurant was full and we did not feel like we waited nor did we feel rushed. Our date nights are few and far between with kids at home, so to spend it here was a treat. In fact we are going back this weekend!!!! I could not recommend this lil' gem enough! read more
