And I can understand them having to turn the water off during a hard freeze, but be consistent in doing so. Not doing so caused my NEW $35 water filter to burst. There must be about 100,000 or more RV spots to choose from in this area where management takes better care of the facilities. I found one just down the road for less money even.

We visit family in the area and most parks don't have concrete pads or any amenities but Chuck's does! Because it is new, not everything is ready yet, but there will be lots to do once it's all done. The couple who checked us in were super nice and the location is very easy to get in and out of. It is close to Highway 175, so you get a little bit of road noise, but not too bad. If you are visiting the area, I highly recommend Chuck's as your best option for an RV park.

I have a 45' Class A pull a toad. When I called to make reservations the manager did not hesitate to tell me they could accommodate my length. Getting to the park requires a trip down a narrow street with low hanging branches and branches encroaching into the street resulting in multiple scratches on the sides of the RV. There was no place to turn around in the street and backing up was out of the question too. Upon arriving to the park the OPEN sign was lite, but the office door was locked. Made a call to the afterhours number and the manager showed up. She again reiterated the park could accommodate my Class A and toad. She showed me my site. More low hanging branches and more scratches on the RV. It became obvious very fast this was not going to be a good outcome. Multiple trees prevent the required tight turns to get into the sites, even after disconnecting the toad. I finally called it quits and told the manager I was going to have to go someplace else. She acknowledged I was not going to fit into a site, apologized, and said she would issue a refund right away. She never did issue the refund. I then filed a dispute on my credit card when she disputed after telling me she would issue a refund. Before I left, one of the permanent guests told me he had never seen a bus in the park and also agreed there was no way I could fit.

A Hidden Gem in East Texas!…read more Texas RV Park in Payne Springs is one of the cleanest and most peaceful RV parks I've stayed at. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always available to help with anything you need. I especially loved the added touches like the dog park, laundry facilities, and the privacy fences between spots. It really feels like a little community, and it's just minutes from Cedar Creek Lake, which is a huge bonus for fishing or relaxing by the water. If you're looking for an affordable, quiet, and safe place to stay--whether it's for a night, a week, or longer--I highly recommend Texas RV Park.
