A hunter will have about three seconds to fire as the Pheasant flies over a clearing in the trees where the hunters stand. There are several position rotations where hunters change to another position on the large circle around the tower. Trained dogs are provided to retrieve the downed birds. After about two hours everyone takes a break and then the hunt resumes. After two more hours the tower shoots ends. All hunters are treated to barbecue lunch. All downed Pheasants are cleaned and divided among all hunters. Ice for coolers is also available. My experience with upland bird country has been very positive.

Corscicana is home to the famous brick company that makes all those bricks that line the streets around here. I love how they make the steel belts of my Goodyears sing. Corscicana is also known for its fruitcakes! Seriously! Check 'em out. If you stop by this visitor's center, you can learn a bit about the history of the town, they have maps of all the activities, and old pictures of what the place used to look like back in the day. There's lots of cool lil' shops to stop in around Corscicana, and events going on throughout the year. Be sure to inquire about what's going on here.

I decided last minute to book a limo to take my friends & I into Dallas for a 40th birthday celebration. The response was quick & the pictures sent to me for the vehicle seemed to be accurate to what arrived, however the details of the uncomfortable ride were left out. The "party bus" that arrived had no air conditioning & the sound system was busted so although music came out, it was distorted where primarily bass was heard along with a loud humming noise. The driver stated he had just gotten gas & turned the AC off but once we got going, it should cool off. That was a lie. It didn't work period & in fact it wasn't until we were already on the road that we noticed they had cut out part of a seat & installed a portable AC unit there. So it was obvious that they knew the AC was not working in the bus. In 100° weather we were drenched in sweat in no time & very uncomfortable. The portable unit did not produce enough cool air for that bus. I immediately told the driver we were unhappy/uncomfortable as well as I text the owner, Justin to explain the same. The driver said he would also try & reach out to Justin. Neither of us could reach him at all the entire evening. Although the driver was very kind, he smelled of marijuna & when I mentioned that it smelled like that & asked if he was "having a little fun with it?" his response was that he was trying to have fun, yes. We began to not feel safe with this driver as it was possible he was under the influence & had been texting while driving. At the end of the ride I explained I would not be paying anything additional to what I had paid already, until I spoke with the owner. The following day Justin & I discussed my experience where he lied stating at first he knew of the bus' AC problems & told his driver to give us the option to not take it once he arrived (instead of the professional option of letting me know at the time of booking or even before the arrival on day of pick up) but the driver did not. At the end of the conversation with Justin, he stated his mechanic told him the AC was working so he didn't realize there was an issue until I text him that evening. He also offered a discount for the awful experience stating he "just needed me to pay something towards the cost of gas & to tip the driver for him to send back to his mother in Mexico." So I sent a second payment totaling what he asked of me per our phone conversation, this is after I received a text at midnight demanding I pay immediately or he would file charges & that he had to stop people from "shooting up my house" after I didn't pay the previous night. I thought my debt to him was paid per our phone conversation but several days later I received a letter in the mail demanding more money or he would be filing charges against me & that I may not have liked the services provided but I was still obligated to pay them, so the discount was no longer being offered. Additionally Justin accused me of being worried for my safety because he is black & not because of his text verbiage mentioning shooting up my house. I didn't even know he was black, I've never met him. Absurd treatment in this whole situation that was just meant for a simple fun limo ride, turned into a horrible, uncomfortable & unsafe experience. I originally was not going to write a bad review because Justin offered me the discount to make up for the awful experience but since that was another one of his lies & it's now clear that money is more important than repeat business or happy customers, or even standing by his word of offering a discount, I've chosen to give into his demands/threats & pay the full price to avoid having charges filed against me or harmful actions to me or my family since he knows where I live & has already made threatening verbiage via text to me. However, I do hope this review helps others to avoid this horrendous treatment & I honestly cannot fathom how a company can stay in business with this unprofessionalism.

We've been LaQuinta Inn & Suites guests for years, but I will say the chain has gone down, especially the older hotels. This is one were they slapped lipstick on it to make it appear new and modern but when you get to the rooms it's definitely an older hotel. The lobby and breakfast area as decent and "modern". Our room when I opened the door the rug at the entry was torn (I took a picture to show the front desk, so they didn't try to charge us). The tile in the bathroom was cracked/broken in several places and definitely sprayed the room down with Lysol. It has definitely seen better days. The location was perfect because it was right off the highway and it was less than 3 hours to our final destination and not the worst in reviews when we searched. There is some green space out front but don't go around back, they don't cut the grass and I don't know if the owners live on the property as there is a large overgrown garden or that is what it looked like. It's also next to another low budget hotel and they have a German Shepherd that's at the front desk. We made it through the night, and I definitely check your statement because they charged us a $1.00 (which I know isn't anything) but didn't indicate what it was for.

They also have a large German shepherd that they keep in the lobby. It was not friendly towards my small chihuahua, they also let it off leash in the parking lot area to do its business. They put signs on the grass that there are pesticides on the grass but it's not true. They put it up so people don't let their dogs go there. When we checked in we were told that since we were a long term stay that someone would have to come in check the rooms every few days to make sure we were keeping it clean if we didn't use housekeeping. The hallway smelled musty. My room had a broken window, and black mold on the ceiling. We also had other people that we were traveling with and one guy had ants coming thru his air conditioner and he was on the fourth floor. I wouldn't walk on the carpet with my bare feet, it felt moist and gross. The whole room just felt damp and smelled musty. At least once a day the elevator would stop working and they would have to "reset it" but it was always during peak hours. There were people sitting in the hallways on their phones being loud, laughing and crying. Needless to say we checked out early and went 20 more minutes north to find a better hotel. I didn't use the pool since it looks gross. There were also LOTS of cameras in the parking lot and inside the hotel. There was also a ring camera in the elevator where they can hear you talking so be careful what you say. Whenever you open or close a door they get an audible alert, when you pull into the parking lot there is a chime set up for that too. Everyone staying there that we ran into in the hallways had horrible things to say but I think they have a contract with a truck driving school so that where their students stay til they complete their course. Just an overall horrible stay and I don't know how they have 4 stars on trip advisor, seems fishy to me.

From start to finish, the personalized attention to detail, and stellar customer service blew us away! First service-Our driver, Julie, arrived promptly at 5:25 for our 7:25 am flight. She was well-dressed in her uniform and engaged in light-hearted conversation with us. Return flight- To our surprise, the owner, Reginald, personally met us in baggage claim, loaded up our luggage, and escorted us to our ride. He was also well-dressed and very engaging. The cars- We had an opportunity to preview two different vehicles during our trips. The first was a black Chevrolet Suburban and the second was a Cadillac Sedan. Both were clean, well-appointed, and definitely fit the bill in terms of luxury cars. The water and mints were also a nice touch In a world where customer service is hard to come by, it's nice to experience true excellence. I highly recommend!
