I finally brought myself to write this review after I don't know how long. The fact that they got our stuff to our home safely is the only reason I am giving two stars versus one. These guys charge by time and all I can say is that at the time we moved our team of guys took sooooooo long to move our stuff. Not only that .. they actually took a break on the way to our new home and disappeared on us for over almost two hours. When we asked where they went they said they had to stop for gas and snacks. We were charged for the time they "filled gas" and had snacks. There isn't much more I can say about this business other than that. The manager stopped by at the end of the job and asked us how things went so we told him about the long break but he didn't say much and we were asked to pay so we did. Conclusion - make sure you ask about the time they charge for and if breaks are included etc. read more

I was not happy with the service Blue Ribbon movers provided. They moved me from a 2 bed 2 bath apartment into house in the suburbs. Despite a previously great experience with Square Cow, I went with blue ribbon based on my realtor's recommendation. Mistake. The movers took ~45 minutes for lunch while moving the items between our start point and destination which they CHARGED us for. They asked if it was OK if they took 15 minutes to stop at a gas station on the way. There was no mention of whether or not we would be charged. We agreed but the break was actually 45 minutes. We had arrived at our new house and were waiting more than 45 minutes for them to arrive. Lo and behold, we were charged for their 45 minute lunch break. On top of that, some of the boxes were delivered to the wrong rooms, even when they were clearly marked. This can be a big problem when we are talking upstairs vs downstairs and you're a petite woman that has difficulty moving boxes. No way would I use Blue Ribbon again. read more

Thank you again for the good work and flexibility. Our daughter said your team was really nice and helpful on drop off. Exactly what we needed. Blue Ribbon packed and stored all our daughters stuff after the covid19 shut down at UT. She was already out of state when the school made the announcement so we worked with Manny over the phone to arrange it all. He stored it all summer and brought back right when she needed to move in this fall. read more

This is my fifth move with Blue Ribbon and it definitely won't be my last. Manny and his team were very nice and professional. The movers were on time, courteous, and communicated with me every step of the way. We moved from a third floor apartment to another third floor apartment in a different building and had a lot of heavy stuff! Nothing was damaged or broken and they took the extra step to wrap our fragile items. I felt very safe with them moving my things. I will continue to be a customer of Blue Ribbon because they rock!!! read more

Blue Ribbon Moving & Storage - Great job! - Movers Near Me - Austin, Texas

We first used Manny after purchasing antiques at an Austin auction. We knew we could no longer rely on just any old mover. Manny and his team are extremely careful and really take great care of your stuff. Since that first antiques move we have used him several other time to moves our office as well as residences. Thanks for all you do Manny! read more

From the get go, my experience with Blue Ribbon Moving & Storage was exceptional. They were recommended to me from someone else, and I will definitely be calling them again when I need something moved. Manny was dependable and professional throughout the entire experience, and the antique piece of furniture they moved was delivered in a timely manner and was well packaged. I highly recommend this company. read more

My husband and I just build our first home together. We went from a 2300 sq ft home to a 2800 sq ft home. I had never hired anyone to move us in the past because we think that we are young and strong and that we are invincible! Well, needless to say, we have a 1 year old and we are not as young as we think anymore... I had called 3 other moving companies to get a quote. I had a very specific list of the exact items that needed to be moved. I was trying to keep it to a minimum of just the heavy items to save on cost. I was booked with a company that I still thought was a little high but thought I would just go with them... As I was running an errand, I saw a truck with the Blue Ribbon magnet on the side of a truck. "Let's give them a call and just see..." Manny answered the phone and from that moment on I was taken care of! He was so kind, so generous on the cost, and so reassuring that all my HUGE and heavy furniture would be cared for! Not only that but we had our closing date reschedule 4 times! Manny was so understanding and accommodating. His crew came in, covered everything, and got it over to the new house with no problem! Not to mention, they were able to get ALL our furniture and not just the heavy stuff. Manny was sure to follow up and make sure that what he promised is what was delivered. Manny and Team, thank you soooo much!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the experience that we had with you. You took care of our furniture, our home, and our backs! :) We highly recommend Blue Ribbon Moving Company to EVERYONE!! read more

Not even started & they don't get the job ‼ "Manny"? Has made 3 attempts to come and give me a quote in writing and three(3) times always called to reschedule. I'm think in if he can't get here on time, what about the actual movers ⁉ No thanx big time See ya Blue Ribbon ? Movers ⁉. read more

Manny gave me more than one service option for my partial move, and he gave me a very accurate quote. The crew of three showed up and took care of the job at hand. The way they organised the storage unit was a thing of beauty. It was a pleasure doing business with them. Thank you, one and all! read more

This week we moved our family across Austin from Pflugerville to the west side. We found Manny and his team via referral and they lived up to the recommendation. Manny came out to do a thorough walk-through, gave us pricing with several options that fit our needs and made us feel confident that all would go smoothly. And it did go smoothly - the guys and the truck showed up exactly on time, they got right to work and loaded our 4 BR house in about 3 hours. The unload took about the same amount of time but that's only because we added stairs to the mix as well as having to re-assemble a few pieces of unruly furniture. The price was more than fair, the timeframe was perfect and everyone we dealt with at Blue Ribbon was professional, courteous and helpful. I hate moving so much but these guys made it a breeze. read more

Picking a mover is a daunting task. After considering lots of companies we ultimately chose Manny & his team at Blue Ribbon based on a friend's reco and we could not be more pleased with the overall experience. They're reasonably priced and coordinating everything before the move with Manny was very smooth. He was transparent about what he could and could not accommodate and was super responsive and flexible with our requests and provided guidance for what plan would suit us best. He called the day of to make sure we were happy with how the team was handling the move which was great. We had three movers move as much as they could from our house and storage unit within a certain time frame. They were constantly communicating with us about how much room was left in the truck and what could be moved from the house to still ensure the storage unit stuff would fit which we appreciated. They were fast, efficient and managed our expectations from the start. There are so many unforeseen variables that come up on moving day so managing expectations is so helpful! They padded everything and were respectful of both our old and new house when moving items. Would definitely recommend them to any of our friends and family! read more

I give Blue Ribbon Moving and Storage a 100 out of 10. What an impressive business. Manny, the owner, moved heaven and earth to help me. He was always pleasant, never showing the enormous stress he faces every day ( although everything about this industry is one huge stress show...he remained calm and level headed). I'm so grateful for his expertise, professionalism, and sage advise. His team of packers were experienced and made the whole process move quickly and correctly. Ours is an international move, so this knowledge to pack and fill a shipping container was invaluable. Thanks to Manny and his team for being such great partners! read more

I highly recommend Manny and Blue Ribbon Movers! We needed to coordinate a move-out of an apartment in Austin while we were stuck in CA due to COVID-19 and travel restrictions. Manny was consistently available by text or phone call to handle our questions. His prices are very fair and reasonable. The Blue Ribbon moving crew were on time and very careful and professional. and handled ALL the details. I know our family will use them again! read more

We first used Manny and Blue Ribbon moving 2 years ago to move my mother in law from Corpus Christi to Austin. We were so impressed with Manny and his entire staff that we have used him a total of 3 addtional times with everything from moving an office desk 5 miles to moving our household goods from Wimberley to Austin from our weekend house that sold and then a week later our entire house outside of Houston to our new house in Austin. They are always on time (usually early) and always very fair on the price. No surprises and no damage. Very courteous staff and very effecient. Having been subjected to the horrors of prevuous moving companies Blue Ribbon is a breath of fresh air. There just can't be a better moving company out there. read more

Fast, efficient and gentle to furniture. I emailed the quote request, Manny called me within 2 hours, we talked, agreed on the price and scheduled. They reconfirmed move the day before and showed up, on time (+/- 15 minutes of time). Everything went smooth as clock work. No damage, no stall tactics to run the clock and very polite, professional and most of all did not beat up the furniture or the walls - coming or going! THANKS read more

I would not use this moving company, you can hire White Glove, El Sol Logistics, 5 Star Movers. The owner touts moving high end people in Austin, but when he damaged my custom bed and soiled 10k rug he would not take responsibility for it and made me pay for the repairs. He shipped one of my boxes to another city and would not return it to me after sending numerous texts and pictures. He rushed the movers who were very polite and doing a great job so that everything was not complete. Save yourself the headaches and hassles hire a true professional who is polite and will have quick follow through to make sure all your things arrive to you in perfect condition! read more

These guys were on time, very very fast and did a fantastic job!! All of my things were treated with care and I would def use them again!!!

Blue Ribbon Moving was used for my move in August, and I could not be more pleased. I had a very difficult move - moving from a larger home to a smaller home and storing items for 5 days. Manny came to my home and offered solutions that were reasonable and helpful. The move was very organized and as stress free as possible. Manny continued to stay in touch and drop by as the moving progressed. Paul, John, Johnny, Michael, and Dan were all the best!! Nothing in the move was damaged or broken. I highly recommend Blue Ribbon Moving and would not hesitate in using them again. read more

These guys are awesome. Great attention to detail. They were on time, very accommodating, wrapped everything and were very nice and polite. My mind is always blown at how efficient and strong some movers are. They also jam out to oldies from the truck which made the whole situation less daunting. Great job. read more

I was exteremely satisfied with the Blue Ribbon Moving & Storage. The owner Manny Arzamendi, runs customer centric business and he puts the interest of the customer front and center. Huge shout out to the crew Paul and the father & son duo, Ricardo & Rico. There were thorough, extremely professional and most importantly were RAPID. They got done with the move in just over 4 hours, for a 2bed 2bath apartment with 2beds, a 3 seater couch, 2 love seats, TV, etc. I had an exceptional and hassle free move, thanks to BlueRibbon movers. Will definitely do business with them again and I highly recommend them. read more

I have used Manny multiple times, moving myself, my son, my daughter, and my dad. Every time I had excellent moving experience. Matter of fact, many of his guys have worked for him for years and are extremely careful with your items. Everything always shows up. Everything is always in good condition. They will even put your beds together for you. I know he is on the approved list for Austin Auction House, and they recommend him to move "fine furniture". That being said, he is very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use this company. read more

Another successful move with Manny and his crew. Manny's attention to every detail is the reasin his reviews are so good. His crew is efficient and fast. They arrived exactly on time and worked without stopping for 4 hours. They were kind and respectful to my 91 yr old Mother in Law at all times. This meant so much to me, and impressed her! I highly recommend this business to any and all. read more

Blue Ribbon was fantastic. The movers were prompt, efficient, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Blue Ribbon.

Manny and his team are incredible. Manny was attentive, responsive and completely professional. His team was personable and very capable. They helped us get the last stuff packed, then loaded and moved everything without anything being damaged. It was an emotional move and the guys were very sensitive to the situation. I recommend Blue Ribbon without hesitation. They are great. read more

By far the best people I worked with!! They are fast and polite. They took excellent care of all my things. Manny (head hanco) is by far the nicest man you'll ever meet. They charge by the hour so you don't have to worry about stupid fees! They are truly a blessing!! Highly recommended!! read more

This moving company is flawless- from setting up the requirements and schedule to completion every person involved was conscientious professional and timely. The crew that they sent headed up by Paul were efficient and more than that gracious- moving is stressful enough and these gentlemen made it almost relaxed- Manny's follow up and confirmations were exceptional- his communications were accurate and clear (& frequent btw because of my constant need for reassurance!) Each and every one of his team were skilled at every task. I couldn't recommend BRM more for your move if you'd like a fair price, a local ATX business and an owner who carefully manages his customers as if they are family read more

Manny and his crew helped us move from our home of 31 years while it was being renovated into a second floor apartment. I had the crew come pack up the breakables and art before the move and they packed everything with great care! We sent 2/3 of our stuff in storage and it's great that Blue Ribbon has a climate controlled facility to handle that. My furniture was wrapped and moved with great care. They got us moved in quickly. I can't believe how fast these guys are! Definitely recommend to others! read more

I will lead with saying that the cost of our move was UNDER the quote that Manny gave us. We have used Blue Ribbon twice and it was a great experience both times. The guys are very professional, hardworking, and are so careful with your things. read more

Great and professional movers, worked as quickly and carefully as possible. Would use them again in a heart beat.

I had an exhausting and complicated move and Manny and his team were amazing throughout the entire process. I found Manny through my real estate agent, and she said he was awesome with antiques, delicate items, and large amounts of stuff. Everything came through the move perfectly. I had to do my move in stages (storage pods, regular storage), and Manny was flexible and worked with me and all the scheduling deadlines. He had great advice about making the move more efficient, as I wasn't able to move into my new home immediately. His team is amazing. All the guys are polite, they are always on time, there are personable, knowledgeable and thorough in their work. I am so pleased to be in my home, and I hope I am not moving any time in the future. But if I did, I would use Manny and Blue Ribbon Moving without a doubt. I've already referred them to a dear friend of mine, and she was pleased with their services as well. Thank you Manny and thank you to all the team! I really appreciate the fabulous job you did for me! read more

I just used Manny's team at Blue Ribbon Moving for the second time, and once again I have nothing but raves for them. There are some really awful movers out there (and, yes, some have national names), but these guys are by far the best. They're efficient, stick to their quotes, bend for you as much as they can, very careful with your stuff and eager to help out however they might. I can't rave enough about these guys! Do yourself a favor and turn your move over to them. You have enough other stuff to worry about during a move! read more

It's not often I do online reviews, but I wanted to take the time to chime in on the outstanding customer service and overall experience with Manny and his Blue Ribbon crew. They came highly recommended by our realtor and also by a friend of ours who have used them twice for local Austin moves. Manny was great to work with pre-sale and I had pretty high expectations. On the day of the move his guys showed up on time at 8:30 in the morning and they never stopped moving for 3 1/2 hours, taking special care to consult with us along the way and ensure we were satisfied as they loaded up the truck. They didn't make a single dent or scratch on move-out or the move-in 15 miles away where again they didn't stop moving for another 3+ hours. But best of all the whole team of 4 guys were highly communicative with both myself and my wife. And we had hard stuff to move too, like a jillion ton piano from the 2nd floor. The move was night and day from the last local move we did about 10 years ago. Manny's crew was highly competent and professional. I hope I get a chance to repay them with a referral to a friend or colleague. Oh yeah, and the price was fair too. Not the cheapest, but in line with another bid and I certainly felt like the little extra $ for the quality was worth it. read more

I used Manny for the second time and I wish I could say the experience was as good as the first. The crew and move went great both times. However, this second move was a shorter in town distance than the first with one less bedroom of furniture and less stairs. The first move had been 3 guys and the second was supposed to have 3 men as well. One had car trouble and so just 2 guys showed. They were great but took 3 hours longer due to the staffing issue. My second move was almost $100 MORE than my first. I asked Manny, as did both guys, to consider that this did not make sense, as I was being penalized for staffing issues. Less distance, less stairs, less items to be moved, but more expensive move? He insisted this was right. Even his staff seemed flabbergasted and of course, we knew it wasn't their fault either and tipped them well. Manny lost my future business and any recommendations due to inflexibility on basic customer service and frankly, lack of common sense accounting. read more
