I rarely give 1 star but the food tasted terrible. The servers are nice and slow since they seemed really under staffed. I ordered pumpkin curry and a spicy sea-bass dish. Both dishes looked like vomit...and somehow tasted exactly alike except one was in a bowl and one on a platter. The sea-bass tasted super fishy, by far one of the worst ones I've ever had. There were no pumpkin in the pumpkin curry. They both used frozen mixes of vegetables! I felt like these dishes lacked freshness and appeal. I will not be coming back ever. read more

I thoroughly enjoy Blue Mango. Everything I've had from here has been tasty. I would recommend their shittake mushroom and asparagus stir fry. Their pad thai has been pretty solid as well. Cute little place. Kinda a hole-in-the-wall for me. Ive been here twice and the experience and service has been great. The waitress/waiter are nice and caring and frequently asked if I needed a refill which is a huge plus for me. The Blue Mango Fried Rice is delicious and the Mango Samosas are really good. First time trying that dessert. Definitely will be coming back to this place. The pricing is reasonable. Seafood tends to be on the higher end, so if you like stuffing your face with seafood be prepared to spend a little more. read more

Went here today. Got there like at 317, the lady wouldn't honor the lunch. Oh well. Got miso soup, rolls, and the garlic edamamre. The miso soup was luke warm :/ told the waitress she kinda was irritated that we had mentioned it and rudely replied you want me to warm it up for yooou? Um no I don't want you spitting in my food I'll just not eat it. The rolls were okay they were decent. The garlic edamame was.probably the best thing we got. A little over salty but it was good. They are okay. Their spicy is NOT very spicy. And their pineapple fried rice used to have shrimp in it--and it was served in half of a pineapple. Their desserts all look like they are prepared elsewhere and shipped in. Nothing too fancy. Just okay. Oh, and I spent over $40 for dinner for two, and was still hungry. read more

I was skeptical after reading some other reviews but ordered delivery anyways. Fried rice was good. Yellow curry also good. Shitake and asparagus stir fry decent. Vegetables were fresh and not over cooked. Not sure why this place got some bad reviews. Will order again for sure. read more

i recently ate at the blue mango. we went for sushi but wound up eating soup and salad and noodles. everything we ate was extremly flavorful. it was a toss-up between the Tom Yum and the Tom Kah soups. They were both amazing. also tried the Spicy Waterfall Beef Salad - which was not my most fav but my fiance loved it. i had the Pad Thai Noodles, they were very good and there was a fair amount of meat and seafood. the thing i liked the most was there food was not greasy at all. for dessert we had the Mango Samosa - the pineapple ice cream was soooo good, we were fighting over the last bite. Next time i am going to try the sushi!! i would definitly give it a try. The customer service was good too! read more

The worst Thai food ever! The place looks very nice... but that's where the good stops. The service sucked, the table was dirty, the menu was sticky, and their food sucked even more! None of the plates on our table tasted even decent enough to be considered food! The meats were dry and flavorless, the soups had no flavor, and the curries were much too sweet! Run!!! My boyfriend and I came here for the first time just trying to find something to eat. Since we are out of towners and were in the mood for sushi we decided to give this place a try. It has a nice and cute decor, but when we went in on a Thursday around 430 it was dead as a doorknob. I don't know if they usually get a lot of business or not be we thought it was kinda weird. We ended up staying since they were having a special from 3-5 (can't really remember what it was. Something like half on appetizers, half on sushi rolls, and some other special for drinks). The waitress was nice and they were exceptionally fast when preparing our food, but then again there wasn't anyone else but another older couple by this time. The presentation of the food was nice. And the sushi was great also. We ordered 1 Titanic roll, 1 Explosion roll, and 1 Zorro roll. Of course, it wasn't the absolute best sushi I have ever tasted, but it was good and if we ever end up on that side of San Jose again we'll probably go back. read more

Appetizers consisted of wongton filled with creamcheese, egg rolls, chicken skewers with peanut sauce, all decent. Entrees was pad Thai and chicken basil. Decent as well. I have to rate their service very poor. It's not the employee's fault, they try their best to be nice and provide speedy service but they are understaffed. The kitchen must be also either understaffed or mismanaged. Our appetizer came out after our dinner. Our drinks came at different times, I was almost done with my drink before my wife got hers. The green curry might have had a chance but it was cold and so was the fried combination rice. The titanic roll was bleh... the tempura inside was cold and not crunchy. the tuna was just ok, seemed fresh but seemed low quality grade for sushi. The one good thing I will say is that this place has potential. Management needs to staff the place properly and get their act together. While the place is not pricey it is not cheap either, so overall I would not come here for the food, needless to say the service. read more

When this place first opened I was there twice a week and that is because I like the taste of the food and I developed a rapport with the servers. I would go in order the cashew beef at level 7, along with the spring rolls and my wife and I would eat our fill and then have left overs for lunch. Butt.... Something has happened to my dear Blue Mango. I still love the taste, I still enjoy talking to the servers, but the size of the dishes have diminished so greatly that there is barely enough for our meal, the days of left overs are long gone. The portions are so small it cannot fill a small saucer. I will not be going back. One more thing, stop making people wait so long. 45 minutes is just unacceptable. read more

In part the 5 stars for the crab fried rice and the beef and eggplant dish. Both were well made, got to the table quickly and priced fairly. The other part of the 5 stars is for the fact that the place has a 3 star Yelp average and it was packed for lunch on a Wed with three or four large groups waiting on the sidewalk. Somebody is doing something right. It appears that they're giving people who don't Yelp something they want badly. Gauge your expectations and get the crab fried rice I'd go back just for that. read more

Several coworkers told me about this place so I had to try it out tonight. Despite a couple of minor issues, I'm willing to give this place the 5-star rating (although 4.5 stars would probably be my choice if it were an option). The place is clean and relatively quiet, we were seated immediately, and most of all, the food is outstanding! We ordered the Bangkok Dinner for two. For our beverages, we both had Thai iced tea, which was delicious and unusual -- it had a thick creamy texture and was slightly sweet. You get an arrangement of several different appetizers, which were all delicious and not too filling -- served with the best peanut sauce I've ever had. For the main meal we got to pick out two entrees, so we had the Panang Beef (beef curry) and the Peanut Chicken. Both of them exceeded expectations. They also have a brown rice option, which I appreciated very much -- not many places are as considerate. A couple of minor things I should mention: The "dinner for two" includes only one dessert to be shared. I've never understood why restaurants do this. When two people dine together, they each get their own drink, soup, rice, etc. Why can't we each get our own dessert? It's just not logical. The dessert we ordered was pretty good, but it was rather small even for only one person, and not as decadent as it looked in the picture. The service is overall pretty good, but inconsistent. There were three servers: one of them was very attentive and friendly, another was somewhat attentive, and the third looked like she was just having a bad night -- not rude, but just off her game. We asked her for water refills which never came. But I'm willing to overlook the small inconsistencies in the service for the simple fact that they have the best Thai food I've tasted yet, served in a clean, quiet and pleasant environment. Coworkers and I tried this place for lunch and now I can't stay away. I am a vegetarian and their selection of veggie-friendly menu items is amazing. I am currently addicted to the praram tofu and cream cheese wontons. A big plus is that there is no difference in quality between dining in and take out and the portions are very generous. Services is always friendly and efficient and the place is spotless. I also appreciate that they don't sell mango with sweet sticky rice when the mango is not ripe. So many places will give you a hard, flavorless mango, resulting in the awkward "no, I will not be eating or paying for this" conversation, but not here. read more

Interesting how the reviews are so different for the same food. I'm a huge fan of Thai food, and I think it's pretty good here. I haven't had the sushi, but their curry dishes are really good, especially the red Panang. I also like the chili with basil. I've had better but for the price, I'm happy with it. The food made me get really mad. Our table ordered roti, pad see ew, and garlic chicken. First of all, roti tasted like pure flour even if I dipped the sauce and poured the sauce all over... Second of all, pad see ew was terribly burnt. When I first got my plate, I thought the server was a big smoker until I started eating. Wow the first bite was very unpleasant. Noodles were very soggy and nasty. I didn't even touch the brown(burrrnt) broccoli, and I just had to stop in the middle. Of course I ate half of the plate because I was hungry. My throat actually started to sting Thirdly, garlic chicken... I don't think they cooked the garlic enough. Chicken was very very very dry. And the rice??? Omg rice was hard and super dry and cold. Uhh is this rice left over from their lunch time or something? There was no moist in the rice. Though, I gotta say that the server was nice... And I guess her service made me want to just suck it up and eat without complaining to them. And I was suuuuuper hungry. Regretfully.. Other than that I wanted to write this review because I remember their food tasting pretty good, and I did miss it but the owners or chefs need to try doing some quality check on their food I smell like a smoker and I feel like I smoked a cigarette.
