Reminds me of Zelda's in sacramento. We had a deep dish. They did a half/half for us with their name sake and the white. Both great!

But this is not on the place, they are actually really fresh, it's because that other person requested very basic salads and I got me the same. I'm sure other salads are great. Now on to the wrap. I didn't see any reviews or photos on the wrap, let's change that. I got 2 wraps: 1 Blazing Bird and 1 Date Delight (for someone else). He did not like his for some reason, but I cant' say much because I didn't try it. I got the blazing bird and it is honestly one of the best wraps I've had. It is good, crunchy and their sauce that comes with it is yummy too. I first saw it and thought, WOW, this is big, but I ate it all. The only thing I would say is it could use a little more chicken. This is probably why I was able to finish it, it did lack some chicken. I also got the bone broth and that is also very delicious. Overall the wrap is a 4. It would be 5 if it had more chicken. I will still get the wrap and bone broth again.

We ordered a Green goddess and Miso glazed salmon bowl. Both were very good; but it's a bit on the pricier side. We walked in, but didn't exactly know what to do. We looked for the menu and finally discovered it was behind us. The staff isn't very interactive. Nobody tells you hello or ask if you need any assistance so that was a little disconcerting. We noticed people ahead of us ordering on the kiosk so we figured this was a self service kind of order place. Our family of three each chose our bowls and watched with amazement how it would fill the grains and other bowl components in the robot style assembly. Our bowls were finished up by someone that added the additional touches. Each of us loved the flavor combinations on our bowls. I love that it had the macros on there so we could choose the best option for our nutrition needs. The trash was a bit full and definitely needed attending and I wasn't crazy about the basically no interaction from the staff. It just felt kind of cold but the food and concept are pretty awesome. We'd love it if you made it to "off strip" areas of Las Vegas.

I've tried all their chicken options, and Hainan is still the winner for me. It pairs so well with their chicken rice and broth. My favorite sauces are definitely the Thai Ginger Soy and Sesame Teriyaki. I also like adding fried tofu once in a while. This one was super crispy on the outside and soft and airy inside. I just wish they offered peanut sauce instead of sweet chili, but it was still good! The regular box is the perfect portion for me, and the fresh ingredients and flavors are exactly why I keep coming back. Their chicken wings, on the other hand, were kinda meh. I got them during a DoorDash promo, so it was still a good deal, but as a big fan of fried bone-in chicken, these didn't really wow me. The batter was super thin and didn't feel fully coated or crispy enough. The meat texture was also a little off, I'm guessing the wings might have been boiled before frying, but I could be wrong. Either way, I'll stick with my regular Hainan box from now on. Still my go-to whenever I'm craving chicken and rice!

The spring rolls and the golden rolls appetizers are top notch--it would not be hard to convince me that the spring rolls contain something addictive because I cannot seem to get enough of them! Coworker's favorite appetizer is the wonton poppers, which are also great! I've tried several things on the menu and while my coworker and I have some favorites (the lemongrass beef must be tried, and the green curry and curry noodle soup are both also fantastic), we haven't had anything so far that we haven't liked. I did bring my husband for a meal on the weekend and he wasn't a fan of the fried buns for the char siu bbq with lotus buns and thought the char siu was too sweet, but he enjoyed the spring rolls so hopefully he'll give it another chance later. Vietnamese iced coffee here is also good, but it's not one of the places that brings the little drip filter out to the table etc. in case you're looking for that (my coworker was hoping for it when we first came). The decor is fairly typical of a place run by the Supreme Master Ching Hai group, and the menu has the same vibe if not the same items (my sandwich-loving husband was dismayed by the lack of banh mi), which is a bit of a change from when I had been here previously almost a decade ago. I think it's a change for the better. The location is clean and the wait staff are friendly to the point of sometimes being suspiciously chipper, but it's actually pretty endearing. They also have a little mini market by the door where a few vegan dry goods and instant coffees can be purchased, although I haven't tried getting anything there yet since we're usually on our way back to work. Merit is part of my regular lunch rotation, so I expect to be back many times! Maybe someday I will have tried everything on the menu, even!

I decided to try them out when seeking a vegetarian-friendly restaurant in the area…read more Crispy tofu: I asked for no peanut sauce. Crispy, and there is salt and black pepper in it, but overall it doesn't have much flavor outside of the sauce. Lemongrass fish lunch plate modified to have soy beef (you can switch out the protein): The broccoli itself itself was just steamed with no flavoring, so that was underwhelming. But the lemongrass beef is pretty good, firm and chewy not spicy. One of the others in my party got the eastern duck soup, which has a stronger soup flavor, you can taste the anise. It also has shiitake mushrooms. It came with veggie drumsticks, on an actual stick, but just takes like soy protein, doesn't really taste like duck. I tried a bit of Cali pho too, which was mild but pleasant, it has a ton of vegetables. Overall I'd give it more of a 3.5/5, there were certainly some items that could've used better seasoning/flavoring, but I do appreciate the amount of options that are suitable for vegetarians and actually being able to enjoy noodle soups that would usually have been meat-based. They do have outdoor tables and at the time when I had gone, no one else was sitting outside.

I am one of those people who thinks that just about every meal needs animal protein or it won't be satisfying. Well, Happy Flower proved me wrong because I came away with a very happy and full stomach and I did not even miss the meat! We ordered 8 different dishes to share family style, and I was especially pleased with the all seasons sampler and vegan fried rolls appetizers, as well as the pad Thai, salted fish fried rice, hainan chicken rice, tomato fish, and happy clay pot entrees. Each dish was quite large such that all 9 of us were able to try generous portions of each dish. And then we got two servings of the mango sticky rice to share and the mango was amazingly sweet! I did not try their boba drinks, but a few of my friends ordered drinks and enjoyed them. Their boba drinks are sized quite large as well. I will say, the meat doesn't necessarily taste like the meat it purports to imitate, but the textures for the fake chicken and fish are pretty spot on! Service was friendly and helpful and they delivered the dishes at a good pace. The inside isn't fancy, but it's clean and well lit and spacious. I wish I had known about this hidden gem sooner, but they had a good clip of takeout orders and families coming in for dinner. Parking is also plentiful and easy in their large attached lot. I will be back!
