I'll be honest -- the food looks good, but the overall experience didn't really land for me. The garlic bread was the highlight. Very garlicky, warm, and flavorful -- easily the best thing we had. The lemonades were also great, and the fact that refills are only $1 is a plus. For my main dish, I ordered what I believe was the Winter Pasta (pasta tossed in olive oil with sausage). The flavor itself was just okay, but there was far too much oil. I asked for extra sausage, and it came out heavily coated in oil with a fried smell that wasn't very appealing. Because of that, I barely ate it and didn't even take it to go -- I mainly stuck to the garlic bread and lemonade. What ultimately stood out in a negative way was the cleanliness. When I use a restaurant restroom, I expect it to be clean, and unfortunately that wasn't the case here. The bathroom didn't appear well-maintained -- even the toilet seat wasn't clean -- and it gave the impression that the space wasn't being regularly upkept. That lack of upkeep extended into the dining area as well. The restaurant felt rundown, with worn furniture and leather booth seating that had broken trim. Overall, the condition of the space didn't feel aligned with a well-maintained dining environment. Would I return? Probably not. Cleanliness is important to me, and between the condition of the restaurant and the food being underwhelming, it just wasn't a place I'd choose to revisit.

Well this was probably the most "meh" meal I've had in a while. - Penne Carbonara: ordered this off their "not so secret" menu. While it was okay on its own right, it's also so far from the fantastic carbonaras I've eaten in Italy that I would barely call it one. - Roasted chicken wings: got these in buffalo and kind of regret it. Didn't really hit the spot especially considering the price. Overall, the food quality felt more like at a random bar than a nice restaurant. Service was kind of slow and no complimentary bread was a letdown.

My family and I love this place and have been coming to this location for years! Their service is always the best and the food always comes out great! We always get their house made garlic rolls which comes in oil that gives it the perfect taste! I got the espresso martini which I have had before and it is one of the best espresso martinis I have had yet! For mains, I usually always get the roasted salmon which comes with alfredo pasta and cooked spinach. The salmon, pasta, and spinach in one bite taste so good which is why I keep getting it. My family loves the summer parpadelle pasta and the tuscan pasta was so flavorful!

1/31/26 weekend special: Crab and Artichoke ravioli

I have been to Tomatina a couple of times and thought nothing more to it than an upgrade to Olive Garden that I wouldn't prefer to go if I had a choice. However on my most recent visit, they had a special which I really liked: A crab and artichoke ravioli. I also tried their Chicken Marsala. Both were really well made. The ravioli used real crab. I ordered a similar dish in The Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown and the latter's dish I could tell used canned crab. The server Jorge was warm and said that they have monthly and weekly specials. Having tasted a special and entree from here, I am already looking forward to coming back.

4 stars for happy hour, 3 stars overall. I've been to Tomatina less than a handful of times but we came to this location on the 4th of July before going to watch the fireworks at Great America across the street. They still offered happy hour u til 6pm even though it was a holiday, score! For happy hour almost all the cocktails are half off and there's some food choices as well. I ordered the mini pizza with a choice of two toppings for $8. For $8 it's a good deal and I like that they let you pick two of your own toppings. Also tried the sangria margarita from the happy hour menu and it was decently strong. My mom ordered the meatball sliders for $8 as well. You get 3 sliders with full size meatballs. It was also tasty. From their regular menu, my brother ordered the pasta trio and another person ordered the chicken gemelli. My niece ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce off the kids menu. Their pasta is ok, one person said the pesto and Alfredo didn't have a lot of flavor. The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. Service was quick and helpful. If you sign up for their rewards program you get $10 off even if you sign up right at the table with the QR code. Overall not bad, I'd definitely come back for happy hour.

Food was Yummy, not sure if on this day, the AC was broke or that's just how it is, sheesh! It makes it's kinda hard to enjoy & actually taste if your food is good, if your not comfortable Service was great, from the time we walked in, got seated & waited to order & get our food. Pricing for the items, I think is so so, everything we ordered from the menu, for us was it was so good, we had No Leftovers, besides the kids food Located in a Big Plaza, with a ton of restaurants & movies, so it tends to get pretty busy All The Time & parking is always a challenge, but even if you park a little further & have to walk, why not?

I love this place! The staff is great! Friendly, talkative, entertaining, the best! Even if you come by yourself, you will quickly make friends. Plus, the food is delicious! Awesome happy hour too. They offer a rewards program where you earn points. Highly recommend!

Had dinner with a group of 5 people. Considering it was really slow when we were there the service was less desirable. Had to ask for simple things like salad plates, soda refill & water. Food quality was good. We started with appetizers, a large salad to share & i ordered the pasta dish with the famous garlic rolls. My seafood pasta could have bern more flavorful. It lacked taste. We all finished up with dessert. I had the tiramisu. Very generous portion. Overall, I felt service was below standards & the food quality was just average.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. I had the Cacciatore pasta and had it made gluten free which is always a plus to even have as an option as a celiac! And the mrs had the chicken parmesan, Which seemed like a great hearty portion. Our waiter Hilario was very nice and welcoming. Overall the food blew us away for how laid back this place was. They also had a excellent cocktail menu. Will definitely be back.

I went in here while waiting for a friend to be ready. I saw online that it was the season for butternut squash ravioli. Yum! I arrived during happy hour but I already knew what I wanted before I arrived. It was quiet which was perfect. I'm glad I wasn't in a rush because I got my drink, salad and appetizer right away and then had to wait quite a while for my entree. The ravioli came out super hot and drenched in butter sauce. I had to wait for it to cool a bit before I could eat it. It was delicious but a little runny. I had to wait a while for the check and Togo boxes. My server suddenly forgot that I was nearly finished and wouldn't make eye contact. I finally got the attention of the hostess who made it happen. There used to be QR codes on the tables to pay, but they are no longer there. I used to love that, since it was easy to split a check with multiple people when you paid with the code. It was a good experience for the most part. I do miss the QR codes, though. A hook for my bag in the bathroom would have been be nice, too.

Casual atmosphere. On a Saturday night, the restaurant was filled with families and couples having a date night. The food was average but the drinks were great. The customer service was lacking and ungenuine. Our waiter forgot to put in one of our pasta dishes. He was clearly overwhelmed. Then I overheard the manager snap at a customer who only ordered salad and desert.

I gave him feedback that the website doesn't have that option, and there was no response. All right, they don't have to take my feedback. Whatever. So I place my order. A thin crust cheese pizza. Sure, whatever. Maybe they only cater. But, I knew I'd seen other reviews mention delivery. So I went back to the website. I placed my order for one cheese pizza. To start, the staff were friendly, and patient while we were figuring out what to order. The employee that rung us up at the register even gave a recommendation for cheesy stix. I was originally just planning on ordering bread stix, but he convinced me that these were better, and to get them with ranch, so I did. After ordering, my friend and I got our drinks, and while we were getting our drinks the lady said our pizza slices were ready. My friend got them while I got our drinks, and we took a seat at a comfy booth. There were other tables available, but we found the booth to be more preferable since we had quite a long day. My friend and I both got 2 slices of pizza, but the cheesy stix were still not ready. HOWEVER, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt saying that it meant they were being made fresh. So we ate one slice each of our pizzas. They were cheesy, and baked to have a satisfyingly crispy crust. There weren't too many toppings to the point where all I tasted were toppings; I could still taste the cheese and sauce. After maybe around 5 minutes or more, the cheesy stix were delivered to our table. There were dollops of fresh garlic, and a nice layer of cheese. The outside had a nice crunch to it, but the inside was so soft and pillowy! That's enough to tell me it was fresh out of the oven. My friend and I devoured the cheesy stix, and I think I'd order them again. If I did have one suggestion, it might be to have roasted garlic instead of fresh garlic on top, but that's just my preference. Overall I really enjoyed my experience at this location. I did end up having to ask for ranch since it seemed they forgot to bring it with the cheesy stix, but given that a couple families and what looked like a junior soccer team had just come in, I believe they were just pretty busy so I don't blame them. Other than that, the pizza was fantastic, but the cheesy stix were the hidden winner of that meal!

First time ordering from PIZZA MY HEART SANTA CLARA GREAT AMERICA was on Thursday, November 13,…read more2025...and likely was our last. Here's why: I called the pizzeria and place my order with Jesus for a VEGAN BIG SUR, requesting to substitute the 40 Cloves of Roasted Garlic with green bell peppers and to have the pie to be cut into squares as well. Jesus was very pleasant to work with over the phone. He not only confirmed the order with my specific requests, he also called me on the phone to confirm time of pick-up to ensure that our order was fresh and hot when we arrived. I was very pleased with his customer service...until I showed up at the shoppe. Located at an unnamed shopping centre, we were able to quickly find nearby parking in the tight-spaced lot. The California chain store looked very similar to its sister stores in downtown Palo Alto and Burlingame in surf-themed ornamentation, red booth seating and a low-key counter-serve setting. The venue appeared to be clean and tidy. I was in a hurry, so was looking forward to being in and out in a jiffy. When my order was brought to me, I was immediately dismayed to find that the pizza was cut in the standard eight pieces instead of squares for party serving. Fail! I didn't have time to wait for a corrected one to be made, so had the kitchen cut the slices into smaller servings. At least they replaced all of the garlic cloves with green bell slices for free, but really? Shouldn't a trade like that be free anyways? When we arrived at the potluck, I was disappointed further to see that the pizza was SEVERELY floppy. I was embarrassed to bring such an unsatisfying contribution to a party. DJ said that it was one of THE WORST pizzas ever and that we should never return.
