Then he went to the hardware store himself, took photos of all of the options that fit our criteria, and texted us the options so we could choose, saving me time from having to go to the store myself. He also went above and beyond by offering to fix the opposite side of the door frame, which was ugly before the project started. We didn't even think it was an option to fix that. Cornel installed the door, painted it, and fixed the trim on both sides, on the same day. The final result is absolutely perfect. It's beautiful, and the quality is stellar. We will certainly be using Smart Construction again in the future for home projects that we can't do ourselves.

Prymych was the subcontractor on my flooring and railing project. They were responsible for…read moreinstallation of the LVP flooring on my stairs as well as all of the upstairs as well as removing my old railings. They did an AMAZING job! They did all of the sawing outside, cleaned up (including sweeping) every day, and let me add a couple of small projects partway through while still finishing on time. The last time we had flooring installed (not by Prymych) the house was filthy and we had to sweep and mop multiple times to get all the dust up. Prymych also did a high quality job repairing the drywall where we had railing removed. They had to expand the stairs and cut out the drywall in preparation for the new rails and their work is beautiful. I highly recommend Prymych Home Services. They provided high quality services for a reasonable price. I will be contacting them directly when I'm ready for my bathroom remodel.

Wise Choice uses a platform for selecting materials and so forth that was great in theory, rather questionable in practice, and our wires got crossed more than a few times. The time issue was simply that the projects took a bit longer than we'd planned. The time problem though was at least partly our fault (changing our minds about design, etc), and that was compounded by suppliers actually sending the wrong product on occasion, so certainly not all a Wise Choice issue. Other than that, they were great to work with, very pleasant people all around, very conscientious (cleaning up work spaces thoroughly every day), and the entire project came in under budget! We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. Everything they were supposed to do had to be done twice or more. I had to order and pick up…read moresupplies constantly due to LYD contractors not measuring and trying to get by with short cuts. I had to order windows three times, a door twice, etc. I spent an unusually large amount of time coming back from work midday to supervise, per their request, bring supplies they had not accounted for, or redirect uninformed subs. I also had to carry and move and return the supplies they screwed up. This was a disaster project and took more than twice as long to finish as quoted. Items were installed that were unsafe (stairway railings) but the kicker when we were finally done: they screwed a toilet paper holder into our brand new vanity making it impossible to open the drawers without damaging it as well as too close so that we cannot put a roll on the holder. This is a daily reminder of how they screwed up our entire remodel that should have been an easy basement flip. ($200k+ and under 800sf) They fired the Supervisor halfway through our job for incompetency, but did not fix what they had already screwed up and now the flooring they put down is coming up in places. Absolute disaster and unpleasant experience. Don't trust his videos of "happy customers" he will show you on his phone or iPad when he comes to sell to you. It's all a scam.

Dmitriy and his team then built a walk-in shower completely from scratch -- we didn't even use a pre-made one! Their precision and craftsmanship are truly amazing. We contacted Chaz and Jeannette after both the contractor and flood mitigation companies recommended by our insurance company dropped the ball. Titaan came in and fixed the mess left by those companies and the pipe leak. They refloored our entire bottom level, remodeled the bathroom, had custom stair treads made, and stayed in touch with our insurance company. Most importantly, they finished the job before our Christmas Eve party. I almost wish we could have another pipe leak so we could have them back to remodel another bathroom. Seriously, they do great work. At the very least, call them out for an estimate. They have excellent communication as well, we knew what was happening at every phase of the project.
