Ion and Chris, project managers, met with me, listened, and came up with pricing and scheduling almost immediately. I felt the pricing was reasonable and, importantly, we quickly established a feeling of trust. After a career of running projects myself, I would give their crew the highest marks. Emily commented several times that all day long, the only sounds were uninterrupted construction noise; every one of their people worked hard, all day long. As happens, there was a flooring glitch at the bathroom door. Without hesitating, a large section of flooring was pulled up and put back properly. Their electrician, Nick, was installing the new panel when it became apparent a new exterior service was required for code. Somebody rounded up the parts and Nick worked until 7:00 pm so that Emily wouldn't be inconvenienced. They resided the front of the house and did a great job fitting around the windows and doors, but after paint, the siding material was very rough. I pointed it out to Chris, and he agreed. Cesar, their lead carpenter, came back and sanded the whole front of the house and rolled another coat of paint on it, and put a fresh coat on the door for good measure. I added a few change orders and was treated very fairly, like we were partners. Ion and Chris were always available, even on weekends and they are leading a great crew. We are very pleased with the project; it's made the whole house seem like it's new. I've already recommended them to a couple of friends.

!! CONSUMER BEWARE !! My husband and I hired Blue Line Home Construction to do a home addition on…read moreour existing house in Puyallup. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with the issues that we had with this company. I won't try to bore you with paragraphs and paragraphs of detail, so here are the highlights: * The project manager (Donovan) was so dishonest and incapable of his role as a project manager that the owner (Marvin) ended up terminating him from the company right in the middle of our project... leaving us with NO project manager and we were charged a $10K project manager fee regardless * They FORGOT to add insulation, gutters, and the required landscaping (grading) for our project to the estimate. * During the design / engineering process, Blue Line's team inserted changes in the proposal that was to be sent to the county for permitting and did not tell us about them. If it wasn't for my father-in-law catching the discrepancies, we would've never known. (ex: changed our roof from asphalt shingle to metal without notice). * Since Blue Line delayed siding installation after roof install, didn't haul away a 6ft tall mud pile right next to the addition, and didn't follow the proper grading procedures for the landscape, we had SERIOUS water damage during construction (see photos attached) * The owner (Marvin) saw the photos of the water pooling up on the floor and did not initially want to pull back the drywall or insulation to check for water damage. His said "it should be fine". I had to cease progress on the entire project in order for the owner to take my concern seriously. * When the owner came out to finally come clean up the garbage / dirt / excessive foliage out of our yard, he damaged the slab our outdoor A/C unit was sitting on. Their crew is extremely careless. * With all of these issues, you can imagine how upsetting it was for my wife and I. Unfortunately, Marvin (owner) stopped returning our phone calls and text messages because we were "too mean" and "had to take a mental break from our project". After the water damage fiasco, we did not hear from him again. We had to try and manage communication through an alternative measure. We never received project updates, and my wife and I were continuously trying to keep the project going. The owner didn't know what type of insulation to put in our roof, nor what window was per code... How does a general contractor not know this? Finally, no one ever showed up for a county inspection either. My husband and I had to figure our way through them. Anyways, if you've read this far... I apologize for the long read. I wasn't really planning on writing this review, but we hope we can save other people from hiring this company and dealing with the constant headaches and stress. Please, please do your research and know your consumer rights before you hire ANY general contractor. Otherwise you end up with a deceitful company like Blue Line Home Construction.

They were one of the first to reply and set up a consultation. I set up an appointment. Received a phone call that I missed. I called them right back and a man answered rudely asking why I was calling... I politely explained I was returning their phone call and he still questioned me as why I was calling, short tempered. They were very specific to need to meet at my residency and needing my address apparently to meet but I was fine with meeting them at a close destination. They arrived on time, and I quickly realized the man I spoke to on the phone that was very rude was the guy that was pitching that he would be the GC of our job. He was persistent that he wanted to speak to my husband, as if I am not capable of making a decision if they are someone we would like to hire. I feel like he was overselling his capabilities of doing our job and he walked into that consultation as of needing to show me he was the boss. I need a GC that's capable of communication and fulfilling the job. Their tactic was very skeptical. I will give it to them, that they were quick to try to pick up a job, and they arrived on time and I was able to have a cordial short conversation with them to know they were not going to be our general contractor. He gave me a ball park bid. The price was higher than what I felt they were capable of, and higher than most other contractors. They also claimed they had a reputation with the local banks, but they wanted us to be the dealer. Maybe good for small out of pocket jobs??? But definitely not new construction builds that may require a lender, unless you are doing an owner build. Overall, based on my brief experience with them. Don't waist your time or money. Lack of trust in their ability to complete a job smoothly. This review is based off their communication skills.

I worked closely with Mark, Jacob, Kellen, and Mike and all 4 were fantastic! Mark handled my estimate and explained the process of permitting, timelines, and costs in detail and was so patient with me. Once we were able to start building, Jacob took over the project as my project manager. Jacob is an absolute rockstar and is truly so good at what he does. He's knowledgeable, assertive, and detail oriented. I always felt he really cared what my concerns were and genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with every detail. Jacob contacted all my vendors so he understood down to the hour when equipment was being dropped off and organized all of it! He literally managed by entire project, not just the construction like I assumed.
