Oleg, the owner, is a kind, honest, trustworthy and all around good man. I hired 1st Proservice LLC to remodel my 1980's kitchen and powder room and giving me the kitchen of my dreams. This included removing a side window on one wall and adding windows to the other wall which involved extending a portion of the roofline, tearing out carpeting and replacing it with prefinished hardwood flooring, installing new kitchen cabinets, moving plumbing and lighting, installing appliances, moving heat vents along with details like backsplash tile, undercabinet lighting and cabinet hardware. The works. When I met Oleg for the estimate, I could tell he was creative. He was able to figure out how to get me what I was envisioning when other contractors did not seem to see my vision so, I hired him. His crew showed up on time, every day. They worked hard and conscientiously. We had some craftsmanship issues but, they turned out to be more communication issues and Oleg worked them out for us. Oleg provided a free estimate for a front door install for our mid-century home. We had been told by previous contractors we could not order a standard pre-hung frame, and that we would need a custom build. Those other contractors were taking us for a ride. 1stProservice saved us nearly $500 with the pre-hung frame alone - thank you! Daniel was responsive, patient and kind when fielding calls in the office. He communicated clearly and provided excellent customer service. We received appointment reminders via text and email. Anton and the crew taped plastic inside the home to ensure the work area remained as clean as possible. They were careful in removing the vintage trim. We were grateful to reuse it versus buying new trim that would not match our existing interior doors. We had a few small hiccups with the install but 1stProservice handled everything with ease. TL;DR Oleg quoted me for the work ahead of time, arrived on time, completed the work well, and told me to call him if there are any issues and he will come fix. He left the old sink/fixtures and didn't clean up after he was done. I know it's not a big job, but right now I'm trying to get my house ready for twins coming home from the NICU and whenever it comes to water for some reason I always have a leak at the end of the project. Plus there's always the one thing you don't expect and it takes you three hours to solve the problem, but a professional has the part on hand and doesn't have to YouTube 10 videos to find one that explains how to do it the right way. All the other companies said they needed to have a tech come out to look at the project and give an on-site estimate. I had one come out and they quoted me $2,500! I shared that experience with another and he begrudgingly e-mailed me a $1,200-$1,500 estimate! I've done this job before, and I estimated it's about four hours of work for a professional to finish. I am all about paying people a fair/working wage, but none of us needs to be making $300-600 an hour! This isn't about other companies, this is about Oleg. He e-mailed me back an estimate of $540+tax for the work. We scheduled a date and time, he came and did all the work efficiently. I'm not much of a talker and I don't get the sense he is either, so we got along great. Oh, so yea, the work was finished in 2.5 hours and he didn't need an extra set of hands from me at all. When he left, he left all the used or excess parts organized around the work area so it was easy for me to come in behind him and clean up. Good work, done at a fair price. I share our family's experience with this company to hopefully protect other young families from serious financial burden from sloppy, negligent work. I see so many positive reviews and all I can think is that it wasn't for tile work. We hired this company to retile our bathroom. We had so many issues with the work of the tiler who came to our home. It was devastating to see our $6000 investment (installing and materials) be done haphazardly and knowing we now need to live with this disaster. In addition to the initial issues (which I'll list below), not even 6 months later, we had a tile come up because the tiler cut corners and did not properly install the floor tile. That was a $600 fix to bring in a trustworthy contractor. Now, 3 months later, another tile is coming up and has to be replaced for another $600-800 fix. In addition to the $1200 to fix the brand new tub the tiler scratched up, we are already up to $2400 in repair work thanks to this man. We have attempted to contact Oleg MANY times. His first solution was to send the man who destroyed our bathroom back to our home. Given his disrespect and negligent work, we expressed that this was not a solution. Oleg's next solution was to stop responding to us. We have given up hope of any resolution and are resolved to just having to eat the cost of this horrible work. But I truly hope I can help save another family from going through this same experience. Do yourself a huge favor and find another company who will care about the work they do and you as a customer. Yes, these types of contractors do exist!  Initial issues:  1. Our bathtub area has a mosaic strip. We requested it be centered on the niche. It is offset 1/4 inch, which is very noticeable to us. But we have now burned through our materials, so we are aware this cannot be fixed and we have to live with this.  2. The grout laying was done sloppily, with big holes in it. When I called and he came back, he marked up all my tile, then tried to tell us that was how the grout we chose was. We know for fact it isn't because our other bathroom used the same grout and it went in perfectly. He did return to fix the grout. We'll see if he actually did it well or if it's just going to need to be fixed in short order. All the corners are already cracking. And grouting under our niche looks half done.  3. The marks the tiler made were left there, then sealed and I now have to figure out how to clean up his mess.  4. The tiler just didn't install the corner pieces of our mosaic until we called him out on it. He did a half ass job fixing it after we complained.  5. I watched this tiler in my brand new tub without any protection. After he left there were major scratches in my tub that were not there before. It was clear something had either been dropped or a rock was in his shoe and he stepped in. That has resulted in $1200 to resurface the new tub. When we reached out, we were told it was not the company's fault and they would do nothing.  With everything we have witnessed, it is clear the tiler that worked in our bathroom cut many corners and did a sloppy job. I have no doubt we will be living with the consequences of his inept work for years to come. read more

Just got a house and I wanted to convert several appliances (stove top and dryer) to gas to save on electricity bills. I was also thinking about changing my regular wood-burning fireplace to have a gas fireplace insert. I contacted several companies on yelp for an estimate and Oleg was one of the few who were familiar with working with gas and responded quickly. He scheduled an appointment the next day and give a couple quotes depending on what permutation I wanted done. Estimates included running gas line to stove top + stove top install, running gas line to dryer, and running gas line to chimney. Couple weeks later the stove top I ordered came in and he was able to fit me in the following week. He came over the weekend for 30 mins to make measurements, then today he came in for ~6 hrs to install all three of the above. He estimated about ~5.5 hrs (that's pretty good estimate on timing). 5 stars for quick initial response on yelp, keeping his estimate price/quote, completing the job in a timely manner, and a working gas stove top! with the future of a gas dryer and gas fireplace insert. My rental, in Seattle, had a new water heater installed but the unit wasn't getting much hot water. The water heater company said they only works on the heater and it seems fine. No other clue why it doesn't stay hot. Looking for a solution, I didn't want to call the plumbing co we had hired to do a small job prior charging over $300/hr. I found Oleg and he was practical, polite and fair. He assessed that the shower faucet hot/cold cartridge was worn but also found the pressure valve of cold water intake was too high. Cold water was pushing through the heater before having time to heat. He replaced the intake valve with an adjustable and set it properly. He dealt with moving our stacked washer/dryer without a concern of extra fees and 'we don't move things', either. Highly recommend Oleg! I found him on Yelp for a gas fireplace repair (the flame took a few minutes to come on). Over the years, I'd had my fireplace repaired twice previously by other vendors -- the last one charged me $500.00 (!!!) to move around my logs and ostensibly clean my gas lines. I felt like I'd been price-gouged. When the same problem surfaced 2-3 years later, I searched for a more affordable vendor. Oleg quoted me $150.00. He arrived promptly and figured out right away that my fireplace and gas lines were just fine. He said with so many condo units using gas, it will take a few minutes for the gas lines to refill, especially if they haven't been used in awhile. I requested quotes for a kitchen faucet replacement via Yelp, and also checked Angie's List. It was a small non-emergency job I did not feel comfortable doing myself. I got notified that my request was sent to several companies. Oleg responded right way, and even gave me a quote, without having to come out first. A couple of companies would not give me an online quote, they wanted to come out first. One did not respond until the next day, and their quote was $100 higher than Oleg's. Since Oleg responded right away, and I did not feel I could get a lower quote, I sent Oleg some photos to confirm his online estimate. He actually said he could come later that same day to do the work. How could I pass that up? A low quote, and same day service for a non emergency job. Oleg and his partner came later that day and did a great job. He stuck to his estimate for the faucet repair, but he did find a broken valve I was not aware of, so that cost a little extra but reasonable. I was very happy with the work and the service.
