Dmitriy and his team then built a walk-in shower completely from scratch -- we didn't even use a pre-made one! Their precision and craftsmanship are truly amazing. They worked hard, starting early every morning and continuing through the late afternoon -- non-stop. They kept everything clean and organized each day, never leaving a mess, and were mindful not to block walkways. Everything was completed right on schedule. I also really appreciate how Dmitriy communicates. He responds to questions quickly and clearly, which makes the whole process smooth and stress-free. We were worried because our previous tiles, which seemed to be a DIY job from a previous homeowner, were cracked and we didn't know if there was water damage beneath. Alex came to install the flooring, and he did an exceptional job! I have worked with other tile people and DVS Tile will be my only go to for all future tile jobs. They are efficient, honest, on time, hard working, thorough, and the work they do, is perfect! I am a perfectionist and they always exceed my expectations. I love the LVT in the bathroom because it's not as cold as tile on the feet, it's water proof, and there they were able to lay it over my existing linoleum. Dmitriy did an amazing job with installing our kitchen backsplash and medallion! I reached out to him for a quote and a brief description of what I'm looking to get done. He responded quickly and after a few more exchanges, he sent a quote and a date he could start the project. A few days prior to the start day, he reached out to confirm the day/time (Saturday). The day of, Dmitriy was very good in communicating that he was on his way, etc. he arrived on time and began work immediately after showing him where the materials were, etc. My husband and I really appreciated his focus with the work (we've worked with many contractors in the past, and have had opposite experiences) and how efficient he was. I also had a custom medallion made for above our stove - we were not sure about what trim to use with it and Dmitriy did a great job in helping us decide. He truly is knowledgeable and has a good eye. He finished cutting and setting the tiles the same day and informed us that another member of his team will return on Monday to grout; and he'd return a few hours later to caulk. Overall, we are very happy with how the backsplash turned out! Dmitriy and his brother (I'm sorry I forgot his name!) are very professional, knowledgeable, and skilled at their craft! After a *nightmare* of an experience with another installer, DVS came to the rescue and restored my faith in humanity! Dmitry was great at setting expectations and communicated everything I needed to know when I needed to know it. All estimates were provided in writing and the pricing was very fair. I am absolutely THRILLED with my bathroom renovation - rebuilt shower pan, addressed hidden water damage, reframing work, shower niche with stone shelves, shower bench with stone topper, stone curb, perfect Schluter install, precise tile angles, epoxy grout, Toto toilet with built in bidet, baseboard, glass shower door install, shower fixtures install, and so clean on top of it all! DVS tile has worked on our powder room and kitchen remodels, and DVS will be my go-to company for an additional bathroom remodel and fireplace surround. Hands down the best, attention-to-detail backsplash, countertop and tile flooring work I have ever had. Dmitriy went the extra mile (a perfectionist, I think) to make a farm sink work with our older cabinets (beautifully and very sturdily). He made recommendations to tile around window & created a soapstone sill (eliminating old icky wood frames). I'm thankful that he advised me on just how far to go with that subway tile. (How many providers would you depend on to tell you that LESS is better??) All perfect decisions. He works with what must be the best company (wish I knew their name--thanks, Oleg's staff) to install fussy soapstone counters (amazing to watch THAT installation by an extremely talented and experienced crew!) We have all been there, right? CONTRACTORS ughh Sometimes we feel like we have to sacrifice communication, responsiveness and other admirable qualities to get great work at a fair price. Well Dmitriy and Alex have broken the mold. Our 22 year old bathroom shower started to leak so we decided to replace rather than repair. We chose some tiles from Floor and Decor and contacted several contractors for bids. DVS had a competitive bid and Dmitriy went above and beyond with information, suggestions and feedback regarding our plan to replace tile in our shower and around our bath with new tile. Our shower leaked into the ceiling of the floor below it with no obvious cause. In the chaos of meeting with our greedy insurer and the water remediation folks who wanted to recklessly just knock everything in our historic home down as quickly and expensively as possible, a friend suggested we call a tile professional for advice. My husband probably called 10 companies in two days and DVS was the only one to respond in a timely manner. Not only that, DVS provided great, simple suggestions over the phone for identifying the root cause (a failed shower pan, and not a burst pipe as our insurer preferred) and helped us understand what specific items would need fixing and what would not. We were able to provide photos and measurements and DVS sent us a detailed and very competitive estimate well before others even picked up the phone. Unfortunately, we were not able to work together due to timing constraints on our side, but based on our experience, I'm confident that the job would be done right and that communication would have been excellent.
