This place looks a little seedy, but it's not. The bartender is friendly and attentive. The menu has burgers galore, wings, and a few dinner pasta meals. The menu doesn't say it, but the bartender told me, any of the burgers can be made with a chicken breast substitute. Points for that! This place serves the same beef patty in its burgers that most bars do, but here the cook has the good sense to cook it to less than the charred and tough hockey puck standard of most other places. Burgers are a pleasant surprise and nicely done - all done with bacon. Drinks are less expensive than other establishments and just as good. Another plus. Worth giving a try. I used to love this place but they recently hired a new bartender who is the absolute worst. She has a terrible attitude, and treats customers like shit. Yesterday, I witnessed her arguing with a customer who is a regular there about whether or not she can play pool with quarters, which I know from seeing here there that she always does. The bartender refused to allow her to do this, and the customer left. She also was heard in the back talking about the customer to the other employees while she was still there, by the entire bar. Just left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be returning. Sucks because this used to be a great place. read more

Even though I had asked her to cancel my order, and I was NOT paying for it. She argued with me. Reached across the counter and pushed the boxed food towards me, and told me that I was absolutely not getting a refund. Aggressive! At that point, she turned to my friend who was next to me, and made some negative comments to her. She told us to leave, after a big, aggressive heavy sigh. One employee whose job is to tend to the bar and pour the drinks, take food orders and serve food and drinks to the entire establishment inside and the outside patio. We ordered a couple of drinks and were ready to order a couple of steak diners when suddenly the volume on the jukebox doubled or tripled and started blasting rap music out of a speaker about 10 feet from our head. When the sole employee finally came to take our dinner order and we asked if she could turn down the volume while we ate dinner. Her response was well they put money in the juke box and paid for the music. I responded I was not going to order dinner if I I had to listen music blasting while I eat. She just shrugged. Talk a bout a poor business model. One person to make drinks and serve the entire establishment. Prioritizing the juke box over 2 customers who were ready to order steak dinners and drinks and spend $75 + walk out the door is pathetic. If we were there at 9:00 on Friday night loud music would be expected but not during dinner hours. Great wings and drinks just be ready for poor service and bring ear plugs. read more

The bar tender informed one of our friends who paid separate from me that her math was off on her signed receipt. Indeed it was, but she then very angrily informed us that she was paying us to be there because we didn't tip her enough. I have never been told to tip more because I was being paid to drink at a bar. I handed her $3 more. In contrast I shouldn't have. Not only was the bartender the rudest person I've ever met who after taking my food order, I told her I was still thinking about my drink order, my friend tried to order and she told us rudely she can't take more than one order at a time, then gave us attitude and continued to tell the cook loudly to take his time making our food. We tried going there for lunch today (03-28-2015) They were supposed to open at 11:00, we showed up at 11:15 and they were not open. A manager or worker was there outside, but he was the only one there. There were no other employees there. He also told us that no minors were allowed at all (we had our 3 yr old son with us). I enjoyed the blue diamond and visited frequently over the summer/ fall months with friends. On January 6th I attended a gathering for a friends birthday party with my husband..we gave the bartender "Chelsea" I believe, our credit card to start a tab and planned to later close out with cash,(something I do almost everyone I am there)..we left around midnight with a tab of a little over $60 tab..my husband handed the bartender $75 and we took our card and headed home..a few weeks later I noticed a charge on my visa statement from blue diamond, I called and was told to contact Raymond or Amy at Windjammers(another one of their establishments) which I did and waited patiently for about 6 weeks for any acknowledgement..I checked in about once a week and finally was told that Jason would call me back that day no matter what(2/20/17) and he did. I explained what had happened he told me he would do some research and get back to me. Jason called me on 2/21/17 to let me know that the bartender on 1/6/17 remembered me and my husband and that we tipped her $5 and paid with the card..which did not happen..and he told me that he had tried to help me but that is what his bartender said, I then inquired about surveillance video to see the transaction and he was quick to end the conversation with me..it isn't about the money as much as it is about the bartender that over served us alcohol and then took advantage of us for a $75 tip( I am assuming is how she remembers us from 6 weeks ago) and the establishment owner that allowed it and isn't taking responsibility for it. I really loved having a drink and unwinding here on the weekends but I will not go back to any one of their establishments and I will make sure that everyone knows what happened and how they run a business... read more

Wouldn't go back. Only one person working,so service was slow. They do have nice picnic tables outside and it seemed fairly clean, so they get two stars. Due to one of their tables being wobbly, my boyfriend's full jack and coke was spilled. We asked if we could get another one because of this and the bartender acted as if she would replace it no charge (as most places would have). Everything is well and good until we go to pay the tab and have been charged for the replacement. We went in for lunch at 11:30 (they supposedly open at 11) it was obvious that the bar tender had just showed up( with wet hair no less, which is one of my biggest pet peeves!!!!!! come on get your a** up on time,dry your hair & get your a** to work! its not hard!!) she had to count the till , turn s**t on (juke box, keno screen, lotto) ...and so on and so on. We have NEVER seen the same bar tender in there. The next time the bar tender had the juke box turned super loud to rap, we could not hear each other talk and the next time we get there at 11:05 ( remember they open at 11:00?) and the place was dark and locked up.
