I originally went here on a Friday with a friend with her telling me they had a $10 steak dinner.. what? No way! It's true!! You get a nice steak, tender, and seasoned cooked to perfection! You not only get that beautiful steak, you get a decent sized baked potato (can get it upgraded to more toppings for only $2 more) It also comes with a huge salad (depends on who makes it) and garlic bread. I always forget to take pictures because it's just beer. But this place has an amazing beer selection in west Salem. They have great outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of space to sit and not feel crowded. They had some popcorn but no food options which is fine. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about the alcohols on tap. read more

So the staff and the food are great but the karaoke host makes people tip him to play songs that he is already being paid by the bar to do .. I am leaving now as a disabled man being kicked out of the bar because he said the n-word with a hard r at me on stage after telling me I couldn't sing because he wanted to speak to me privately and I told him I would not speak to him privately I would only speak to him in front of a bartender and then he told me he's refusing my patronage. He is a disgusting person and he tried to make it racial when it was not. I have yet to have any of the food here. It seems good, I will order next time. I have been twice. Interested in jamming some music. Honestly, I enjoy the staff here. This has small business feel. And I enjoy that, as it makes the experience more personal. These people are aware and they do make an effort to do their job. I am not one to say any degree of. I stopped going to this establishment after the bartender Ashlynn showed up visibly and also stated, she was completely hungover. I was sober and hungry and she was horribly mean and hurtful. She yelled at me and told me to go someplace else. She mocked me and I still remember the horrible hurt I felt to this day. I will never again step into that establishment while she still works there. Every other person that works there was always a joy to be around. I never felt judged or ridiculed. Local neighborhood dive bar with good food and drinks at affordable prices. Family owned and run ,the staff will lean your name and what you drink after a few visits. Local cover bands on weekends, Jam Night on Thursdays local musician's bring their instruments and jam with each other,...karaoke other nights...all in all a bar that works hard to stay affordable and caters to the locals. read more

KARAOKE. Buck Hunter! Burgers! Yes, I agree with the previous review, this place is a "craphole" but it is SUCH A SUPER FUN craphole! I mean, it's in Salem, Oregon, are you expecting a ritzy place with hot beats and pretty/slutty skanks?!? My friends and I went here for Karaoke night and boy, did the drunk DJ fuck up Karaoke. I must have put in about 20 songs (fo real) and um, the DJ was so busy being drunk and singing his own songs (off his computer bc he was too lazy to set up the monitor) that we only sang 1 song. Sadface. He also got into a fight with another crazy woman and repeatedly screamed into the mic "You're a bitch and I'm the DJ with a mic so shut the fuck up." I thought I was gonna witness a knife fight. In any case, I STILL had a fantastic time!!! Buck hunter was played! Juke box jams were enjoyed. And best of all, the burgers and fries were AMAZEBALLS. The fries were so crispy. And the waitress was so kind and friendly as to tell me their secret: soaking the potatoes in antioxidant mix! WTF?!? I'm going to put my deep fryer to good use and soak potatoes in antioxidants next time. Best. Fries. Ever. Some how, I love this place. A lot. read more

Besides Friday night steak night is the best for nine dollars. You get a two course meal and a live band and great service everybody's friendly and very welcoming. It's the best place to be on a Friday night in Salem Morgan and kids can go there before eight. read more

Unfortunately, this place is just not taken care of - it's basically unclean and outdated. Last time I was there the bartender seemed grumpy, I felt like I was bothering him, which was not cool considering I was a paying customer. Several of the slot machines were broken, tables were wobbly inside and out, the place definitely needs some love. I was also offended by my bill. I was there for less than an hour, bought myself 3 well drinks, and my friend 1 well drink, and my tab was $36. The drinks themselves were bad, at best. The shots had a spoonful of sugar at the bottom, the garnishment fruits were frozen and tasted old, and the mixes tasted processed and old. There are several other bars in West Salem that I have been to and the service, prices, drinks, and atmosphere are all better. Westside has lost me as a customer to say the least. I used to enjoy this place until I had my bill tripled by a snooty bartender. I ordered three beers the whole night with a bill that came to almost $40! I tried to ask her and another bartender about my bill and they just blew me off. Okay, it was super busy, but come on. I frequented this place weekly for a good 6 months before this and although it was always blah inside and out, a lot of people I knew liked it for reasons I may never understand. I've only been back twice since the bill issue and I made sure to bring one dollar bills so I could pay exact change plus a tip. They have karaoke but the whole layout of the bar is just a bit awkward. Nights that there is a band are much more entertaining. Total and complete dump. The staff is not only lacking in hygiene, but manners. If you're looking for a dilapidated "Bar" where rain pours through the ceiling and onto you while there, this place is for you. And whether it's 4 people in the bar or, 20, you have to stand at the bar for long periods of time to place an order, pay a bill etc. Most staff act as though their doing you a favor. Two are nice: *One little blonde. *And a little read head. They don't seem to 86 anyone as people yelling and stumbling around is the norm. My personal favorite is the staff member's who are drunk on the job screaming "F Westside Station." Real great group of people. And don't bother complaining, they're all related. Oh and FYI, they don't clean any of their upholstery. Some of the chairs actually reek of urine. Additionally, there is a whole in the floor in front of the urinal where you can watch sewage run through. Stopped going there, couldn't be happier. If you want a goo drink, at a good price, this is a great place to go. If you want to go somewhere, where you can just hide out and enjoy a cocktail, its Westside. Its not a pretty place to look at, and the staff isnt exactly pretty either. Behind the bar, you generally find me, and the customer service is not their finer points. But, it reminds me a lot of how bigger cities are. Belly up, order your drink, pay up, tip, and the drink wont disappoint! If you want to go somewhere to share your sob stories or hit on the bartender. Not your kind of place. Despite the fact it looks filthy inside, I have ALWAYS had a good time there. My favorite bartender is back! It's busier now, and the roller derby girls hanging out here lately are fun. As always the drinks are cheap and yummy. The Saturday night prime rib is HUGE, and only $9.98. Weekday karaoke and weekend live music. Guys restroom got a makeover, and whole place seems cleaner than usual. New Janitor?
