Eat here and drink here ! My go to spot whenever I'm in town. It's a chill spot and the food is the bomb!. My go to is the "dirty green and thing & add salmon" I go on weekdays to eat and drink (I like to avoid the super loud band or music that plays during the weekend unless I'm just drinking). They have many different beers selection and great service! Sometimes it take a bit for servers to get to you when it's busy but that's with anywhere. read more

For a dive bar with a reputation for the best live music around, this place also has a kicking menu! While our appetizer wasn't a fan favorite (avocado wedges that weren't crispy and with a weird bell pepper/crawfish mixture on top) the entrees totally redeemed the experience. The Smashly Joe (smash burger meets sloppy Joe) is the meal to beat. Messy, saucy and a little spicy - it's a must try. And you can't go wrong with a smash burger from Tupelo's famous Neon Pig. But take it up a notch and add the crack dip - a kicked up version of a cheese sauce that you don't want to miss. (We literally thought about little the bowl). While in Red Bay, Alabama for motorhome warranty work we can over to Tupelo and found this place. So happy we came in. Such a cool place and the food was AMAZING! The food here is delicious. I'm not sure I've ever had duck confit and I know I've never had it in a quesadilla, but I cannot recommend it enough. The Connie's blueberry doughnut bread pudding is decadent with a great presentation. My mom had a pot roast slider that she raved about. I was on a business trip and stopped in at this bar/restaurant. The food was phenomenal! They had some fun items to choose from and everything we were served was great! The server was also very attentive and friendly. Loved the Pot Roast with cornbread waffle! I lost the receipt and had to contact them to try to get a copy of it. They were extremely helpful and were actually able to find my receipt a week after we were there. I'd HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a laid back atmosphere! read more

Visited with some friends for an early dinner. Very few people there. Service was excellent. Waiter made suggestions that were spot on to what we asked. My wife had the shrimp skewers with whiskey sauce. She will often give me some of her shrimp but not in this case. Too good to share. I had the pork and greens plate. Greens were nicely cooked with an excellent flavor. The grits and sauce mixed well with the pulled pork. We also had the fried avocado appetizer. Interesting flavors but not my favorite. I read online reviews, and I came for the Pork & Greens dish. It was pretty good. My grits were not temperature hot all all. The collard greens were very seasoned well. The pork was tender pork roast, not smoked or bbq at all. There was some vinegar based Carolina bbq sauce drizzled around the outer edge of the grits and on the greens. The cornbread was overly sweet. I suppose that's how they like it here. Hubby had the Smashburger. It wasn't juicy, in fact, it was dry and a bit chewy. My daughter had the Chicken and Waffles. Her meal was very plain tasting, and her waffle was not crispy, very soft. The blueberry bread pudding was great! Exactly like you expect it to taste. Rich and buttery, and piping hot out of a coffee mug, topped with a bit of whipped cream. The server was extra fantastic! Tammy was her name. We've been a few time for music and burgers, both were good. We've entertained out of town guests here as well as corporate visitors. Our large parties received meals at different times, but once everyone eventually received their food, they were happy with what they ate. read more

The live music and interesting decor are simply the start of why I love this restaurant. (The "stay sexy, don't get murdered" sign really ices the cake for me as a murderino). The food is phenomenal. I've gotten hooked on the brown bag bologna sandwich, and they don't skip on the portion sizes, so bring a friend! The fries are my favorite in all of Tupelo. I come to Tupelo once a year for work and if I don't get my Blue Canoe fix in at least once while I'm there I. Know I'll be depressed until I come back. They have a dish called Pork and Greens. This place was easy to find and the environment was just as described on previous posts. I'm guessing the live music isn't an all night thing as I arrived close to 8pm and heard one song for the night. The bartender was very friendly and I enjoyed speaking with her. The pineapple upside down cake cocktail literally tastes how it sounds!! I loved it. However, I didn't care for the crack fries or burger. The fries were cold and soggy while the burger lacked flavor. The meat was dry and over-cooked. Overall, I would go out for drinks here again. read more

During a business trip, we dined at the Blue Canoe twice for dinner. The food was really good. The service was good but sometimes slower than I would have preferred. Our appetizers were Crack Dip Fries, Onion Rings, Fried Black Eyed Peas, & the avocado one. All were good especially the onion rings and crank dip fries. I had the Smash Burger one night and loved it. I got the Chicken & Waffles the other night and it was good as well. Others in my group enjoyed the pasta, Smashly Joe, and Cuban. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had the same waitress both nights. She was very nice but sometimes her visits to the table were few and far between. I'd go again if in the area. read more

Ok, maybe it's just me. Maybe I wasn't hungry enough when I went there. It's a cute place, and very welcoming. The staff is super friendly and patient. I just didn't find the menu to be my thing. We got the fried black eyed peas, and they were not my thing either. They're very dry, and I wasn't sure how to eat them. With a spoon? On a cracker? I didn't get it at all. I got a burger, and while it was good, it was too huge for me to eat, and made me feel guilty and wasteful. It too, seemed a little dry. I put some of the bacon jam on it that came with the black eyed peas, and that helped a little. The bacon jam was probably my favorite thing. The cheesy fries were good, and at least not dry. There was supposedly some sausage in the cheese, but I did not find it, although the cheese had a good flavor. There's a big cornball sign as you walk in the door that really turned me off--something about we're not racist, corn, corn, come on in, blah blah. Very woke and why was it necessary? Anyway, I think this is probably a great restaurant for some people's taste, but the menu just wasn't suited to my tastes at all. On the plus side, it's homey, clean, great bar setup, good service, reasonable prices, and all portions are LARGE. Great if you are a big eater. read more

I came here tonight with group of 11, and I just got to say our waitress Tammy was horrible to everyone at our table. She was that way when we sat down and did drinks until we left. We told a manager and messaged the owner, but they blew us off saying that she never got a complaint on her which I call BULLCRAP. She was absolutely horrible to us, and not only that she sucked as a waitress argued with us whenever we asked for dipping sauce and charged us for stuff we didn't ask for. Her horrible attitude makes me never want to go back here again. From the outside we were scared as it screamed sports bar, but were delighted inside with its rustic wooden walls, cute tables, and adorable bar area, there is a spot for live music and I suspect it could be deafening on a music night but was dark and low key on Wednesday. Love this place! Eclectic decor, any kind of attire is perfect, food is delish and unique, and the drinks are fabulous! We had shrimp tacos, Salad of the South and street corn with cold beer and some ruby coconut rum something or other that was amazing.
