    Great draft beer
    David B.

Beautiful Chinese restaurant known for its Peking Duck. First impression upon walking in is that this place is very classy. Also noticed that nearly every table had been served the Peking Duck. So of course we took the hint and ordered a Half Size portion of Peking Duck to share with my wife. Only mistake was not going with the full order. The duck was very nicely prepared and presented, nothing like how they do it in China. So for me, I loved it. Just take the tortilla wrap, add a few slices of meat, a veggie and the sauce and eat. Fabulous. We also shared an order of pork soup dumplings which were also top shelf (note we eat pork soup dumplings monthly, so these were good). Draft beer was also nice, the brand was new to me. Service was nice and I'd also mention that it was nice a quiet in the dining room, which is a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend. This was my first time here, my wife's second and we will return.

First time dining at a modern Chinese restaurant and it was a very nice experience. Blue Blossom has a contemporary, elegant, and upscale decor. Their blue-white porcelain table settings and dishware complement the beauty that captivates every patron upon entering the establishment. The hospitality was stellar. It started with our menu being presented on an electronic tablet. Items were accompanied with crystal clear photos, it was easy to navigate, and all of our questions were answered in appreciated detail. The presentation of the food was award winning and every item was delicious, large enough to satisfy, and even the dipping sauces were presented in an ornate fashion. We ordered the following: Steamed Vegetable Dumplings. They were artistically created/presented and the dipping sauces (soy, sweet, spicy) elevated the taste exquisitely. The other selection was the Wagyu Beef Xiao Long Bao. These Shanghai-style soup dumplings were wrapped in colorful/delicate wrappers and were scrumptious. The beef was tender, the juices inside fully enveloped every inch of each dumpling and both items are highly recommended. To cap this meal, we shared the Mango Pomelo Sago. This is a popular, refreshing Hong Kong-style dessert soup made with mango, pomelo, and sago pearls, blended with a creamy base of coconut and evaporated milk. Each spoonful was mouth-watering and the different textures made this an extraordinary delicacy.

Absolutely loved my experience at Blue Blossom. The menu was a blend of chinese fusion with a creative touch, and every dish we tried was delicious. The crab + pork xiao long bao and the cumin lamb were 10/10, highly recommend. We also ordered the stir-fried string beans, dan dan noodles, roasted Peking duck, and the pork belly appetizer. Pork belly was good but not quite as memorable as the other dishes. The service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout. Perfect for dinner w friends or a date. Also, my phone was dying and they were kind enough to let me charge it. I really appreciated that :3

Came here for dinner without a reservation on a Tuesday night and got a table without a problem. The restaurant was spacious and welcoming and we were greeted with a friendly hostess as soon as we walked in. We ordered various dishes to share including their pork XLB, steamed veggie dumplings, hot and sour soup, stir fried string beans, duck fried rice, salted baked chicken and beef brisket stew with puff pastry and wine sauce. Their XLB was excellent. Just the right size, not too big and not too small, juicy, flavorful, and the skin was delicate yet durable with a QQ texture. It was so good we had to order another one. I also really liked their veggie dumplings. Their dumpling skin was just as good as the XLB and it's packed with flavor even though it was just veggies. I also enjoined their hot and sour soup. When I order hot and sour soup from different restaurants, it's never sour enough for me and I would always have to request vinegar on the side. I was surprised the flavors of the soup here were well balanced and I did not have to add additional vinegar to it. Their duck fried rice was also one of our favorite. It came out pipping hot with a lot of "wok Hei". It was flavorful yet not too salty and also had a lot of meat inside. The salted baked chicken was good but I can't say I was completely impressed with it. The presentation was a little gimmicky and I was told it's not moutai wine inside the bottle and it was just for show. Aside from that, I found the chicken to be a little too salty to my liking but the ginger and scallion sauce was very fragrant and helped neutralize the saltiness of the chicken. The meat however, was very juice and tender. The stir fried string beans, I found it a little bland and some of the strings were still attached which made it hard to chew. The beef stew, while we liked the puff pastry and the beef was tender, there were no red wine taste at all. It was literally just a tomato beef stew and I found it to be a little too sour. Our server was very friendly and attentive. They also have happy food from 5-7pm on weekdays so they have a limited drink menu for $10 during that time. Overall, we had a great time dining at blue blossom. Although some of the dishes were a miss for me, I think their dumplings are very solid. I also saw a lot of people ordering their Peking duck so I would want to return to try that out. One of the best indicator is that by the time we were done with our meal, the restaurant was pretty much packed on a week night and they were mostly Asians which indicates the food is authentic and good.

Ambiance, nice. Service, nice but kind of slow to get the food. Bathrooms, nice. Flavor of food, alright. Temperature of food, lukewarm to cold. All of it! We did have one dish that was hot. It was manageable but I couldn't believe the peking duck wasn't even warm. That one was just cold. It also seemed old, like they cooked it a while ago because it was dry. We told the waiter it wasn't hot and he took the duck away and came back in less than 5 minutes with a warmer duck. It still wasn't hot. Ah well. The hoisin sauce was very salty. The soup dumplings, tasty, were also not hot. I've never had a soup dumpling where the basket wasn't steaming hot when it came out. I still can't get over how a Chinese restaurant didn't serve us hot food. It wasn't very crowded when we were there so not sure what was the issue. Maybe we were forgotten. Maybe their heater lamps broke. Anyhoo, come here if you're not nit-picky about food and want pretty good tasting Chinese food with a nice ambiance. It would make a nice date spot.

This place is so underrated. It's a good thing because finding a table here is never a problem. We came here several times and tried most of their dishes and they all have been excellent. The restaurant very spacious, good service and close to Q train.

Very cute, clean, and great food and drinks!! Also had great seating options upstairs and enjoyed looking around at the items in the shop.

My friends and I made a reservation ahead of time for dinner. We arrived early, and the hostess was very accommodating. First, the interior was beautiful. There was a beautiful bar by the entrance, there were beautiful lanterns hanging from the ceiling, and the seating inside was very open and spacious. At the end of the restaurant, you could even see the soup dumplings being made. Second, two out of the three cocktails we got were delicious. The peach blossom glaze and the jade green cocktails were excellent; the velvet white one was too bitter for me. Finally, the food itself was incredible. We ordered the soup dumplings, salted and baked chicken, and the stone pot braised rice. (Side note: I loved that the menu had pictures for many of the dishes.) We were so full by the end of dinner! I would definitely come again to try more.

Came here for a work dinner and got to try a bunch of different things. We had the soup dumpling platter, where I got to try the truffle pork dumpling. While it was good, I didn't pick up any of the truffle flavor, so I would probably skip getting this and opt for the regular or regular + crab as both were delicious. However, I will say at this price point, there are definitely better options out there. I also tried the peking duck which super delicious and fantastic. They didn't give enough wrappers, but they gave us more when we asked which was nice. We also tried the cumin lamb which was the perfect amount of heat. The garlic string beans had a great flavor and would definitely recommend getting. Finally we tried the fish filet stew. The fish was tender and delicious with a subtle amount of heat. The service here was mixed. Sometimes they were so on point with refilling our tea and waters, and then at other time we were frantically trying to flag down a server. Overall nothing bad though. Would come here again for a special occasion!

SO GOOD!! Literally drooling thinking about this meal... - Soup Dumplings: Super juicy, the soup exploded in our mouths - Pork Belly with Garlic Sauce: Solid, classic dish - Pepper Style Beef: Super flavorful and fragrant, my fav - Peking Duck: Thin, crispy skin - so satisfying - Squirrel Fish: Filleted perfectly, crispy, sweet, and tangy - Black Sesame Buns: LOVED THE TANGYUAN INSIDE!!

I came to Blue Blossom for a casual lunch with a friend I had not seen in a year, and it ended up being the perfect choice. Blue Blossom is a modern, upscale Chinese restaurant that blends traditional dishes with a refined, porcelain-inspired aesthetic. The space feels relaxed and classic with thoughtful design details and a calm energy that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy a meal. Service was warm, attentive, and present throughout our lunch. It made the whole experience feel even more welcoming. We shared several dishes and loved everything. The sliced pork belly in garlic sauce was one of my favorites. It was tender, flavorful, and so well balanced. The salted baked chicken was also excellent, especially with the scallion ginger sauce that made every bite bright and aromatic. We also enjoyed the crab meat and Kurobuta pork xiao long bao, the pea shoots in wine sauce, and an osmanthus fermented wine mochi for dessert. It was a beautiful and satisfying meal from start to finish. Their happy hour wine options were another pleasant surprise. Great choices that matched the overall quality of the food. Blue Blossom impressed me with its combination of great food, polished hospitality, and a peaceful, stylish atmosphere. I would happily return and look forward to trying more dishes in the future.

I came for Chinese Mew Year and it was extremely packed. It was reservation only but we still had to wait 10-20 minutes packed in the front like sardines with all the other ppl who booked at the same time. The waitress was extremely friendly, she kept making jokes with us and was super light hearted which I loved. We ended up getting the sour fish, roasted duck, and soup dumplings. The sour fish was exceptional! Exactly how I imagine it to taste like, no odd tastes or anything like at their sister restaurant Szechuan Mountain House. Theirs used to be really good but I think something changed and it tastes a bit weird now. Maybe they moved the chef here. As for the roast duck, I'm not really sure why it's advertised as a roast Peking duck. The Peking name adds like $20 it's just a roast duck with peking duck sides. It was alright, not the best roast duck I've had. An extra plate of pancakes cost $6 for 6 extra pancakes. The soup dumplings were good. The skin was nice. The different flavors didn't taste that different. I think the only one that tasted much different was the truffle one.

The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu.
