The spicy pho is more like a watered down beef broth with pho noodles in it, it tastes nothing like pho and it's not spicy at all. Be prepared to add copious amounts of cock sauce to it. That being said it's pho, coming from a trailer, that's open when your hammered. So yes, I would probably eat it again just for that fact. They lost stars for the poor quality meat they include with the pho. If you're using cheap meat you might as well give more of it also. After a long night of fist pumping, dancing, twerking and sing alongs on 6th street not just 1 but 2 nights in a row I came across this food truck. Actually I tripped along my way and found this food truck the first night lol the and, second night i drifted my way there as best as i could by the amazing smell of pho that shoots out of that truck! The pho this shi** right here that sh** right there will make you wanna be swimming in it! The bahn mi was the bomb dot com. I have never had a soft fluffly bahn mi before i have always eaten the crispy crunchy one's. This was a first and now that is all I will ever look for now it just won't be the same anymore it was literally life changing. I am absolutely OBSESSED with the Tofu Pad Thai. It was made quickly and the moment I started munching I realized it had been made with LOVE. There were more than two different kinds of sauces on top that just blew my mouth with spices and delishiousness until it was gone. It was the kind of food that makes you lick the container. Question: Is the chicken glistening because tears of joy are streaming down my face or is it really that beautifully moist and delicious? The pad thai with chicken is so good. The sauces BB put on top were just a tiny bit spicy, which was perfect, and the chicken was cooked perfectly (moist on the inside, browned on the outside). I remember wanting to take a picture, but my desire to gobble up the whole dish in five seconds outweighed that want. The noodles, fried egg, carrot slaw, peanuts, and lime/cilantro were all tasty as well. This all was well worth the $7 price tag. I will definitely be eating this again. Really, really good stuff. My wife and I enjoyed the Thai chicken curry last night. The sauce was outstanding: some sweetness along with enough spice to keep your interest. They swing by my office complex every few weeks. I've had the chicken and rice with fried egg twice now. Both times the chicken was absolutely delicious and the flavor was great. The sous vide the chicken to keep it moist and it is so good. Definitely recommend hitting this up when you are nearby. read more

Overhyped, over-priced, terribly staffed with lines for 1 or two dishes. The chicken is undercooked but I am willing to possibly get sick so I can sue. I was planning on getting some food at Chilantro, but decided I didn't want to wait in line, so went next door to Blue Basil where there was no wait. The guy inside was really excited to get a customer. I ordered the pork pate w/ rice, fried egg, and veggies. Everything was prepared fresh and the portion was huge for only $7. #1: Pork over rice with a fried egg -delicious. Their version has blown some of the broken rice I've had in restaurants (cough cough, Duy Vietnamese Restaurant) out of the park. Everything was hot and fresh -none of that dried up, questionable veggies here. I should of taken a picture of the presentation because the cuts were gorgeous. Translucent cucumber slices that complimented the dish well. And then there was a fried egg. The perfect sunny-side up fried egg. Crispy on the edges, gooey and soft in the middle with a yolk you could pop over your rice. I wish I had taken a picture to show other places how I want my eggs. My friend ordered the pork sandwich and I had single bite of it. Buttery and the bread was warm and soft. Yum! The food selection is great here! They have everything from rice dishes to sandwiches, and noodle soup (spicy pho!). Best of all, their prices are low (under $7) and their portions are very generous! I ordered the Potato Pie, and it's filled with so much flavor! Best Pad Thai I've had - really exceptional

Although I often think of me as "Anthony Jordain" type of guy, I didnt know basil was ever blue. But whatever, let's do this. My friend Anthony asked me to meet him here because of tofu options galore. He stopped eating meet products last jan. Anthony is a pretty funny guy. Always try out something you havent done before! Thats Anthony's moddo. He got tofu with rice and I also tried that too. I had a egg with mine. Yum! No basil in my mouth tho. I asked Anthony if he had basil in his dish. He had silantro (green). I ordered this via Uber Eats. Came SUPER quickly, like 20 minutes from ordering to my door. Delicious food...could be spicier but I like that the chef lets you add your own spice (which I got a side of). Oddly, my sole complaint about the dishes I ordered (Pad Thai and Masman curry with pork) are that there is just too much meat! It was like the dishes were overcrowded by the beasts, as generous of Blue Basil as it was. In the Pad Thai, I wished for less chicken and more NOODLES. In the curry, I wished for less pork and more curry SAUCE! Anyway, not the worst problems to have, just felt imbalanced. Still awesome and I'll be ordering again. read more

Came here after a night out on 6th street so my memory of this place maybe a little spotty. We ordered the pad Thai and it hit the spot. The Pad Thai (Tofu) used to be the best back in 2014! I went there EVERY week for months and months! But in the last year or two they have changed the recipe and quantity. It got worse slowly so it was hard to accept and notice right away. But if you are a regular customer then yes you will notice. One order, I noticed a big long hair in my food. Gross. So I stopped going there well over a year ago ... Then today, I had to get some lunch but could not drive or walk anywhere due to time restrictions. So I tried them again. Well, if I thought it was bad before, it has become much worse. The tofu is not marinated and if it is there is no taste whatsoever. The special sauce has been diluted or changed and it barely registers on the taste buds. Not much sauce added these days. The amount of noodles has been halved. The amount of tofu is about the same but is now very bland. They seem to have added more "filler" like the dry cabbage - it takes up half of the serving container space. It seems that the cooks and management have changed for the worse. Much worse. read more

I met the owner, Bill, while waiting in a lobby for our car tires to be fixed. He was very thoughtful and polite and we had a nice conversation. He told me about their food truck, his wife and family, and that she was from Thailand. They lived there for 22 years. He invited me to the food truck to try the food and I took him up on the offer. In one word, amazing. The perfectly cooked/marinated chicken over rice and topped with a fried egg and two different sauces was a delightful blend of flavor and texture that I savored with every bite!
