    Thai Chicken Curry

I heard through the grapevine that Thai chicken curry was the best thing on Blue Basil's menu, so when the food truck stopped by my apartment complex I had to try it. I'm so glad I did! This spicy green curry is made with coconut milk and lemongrass, and it comes with a side of jasmine rice. It is absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous. Definitely getting this again!

Veggie eggrolls, chicken over rice and Pad Thai. All amazing!

You know that their food is awesome when you eat it for leftovers the next day and it still tastes delicious! I ordered the Pad Thai chicken, Chicken over rice and all veggie egg rolls. The chicken is very tender and flavorful. Pad thai is not too sweet and delicious as well. The veggie egg rolls have a crazy crunch to it and tastes amazing! If you are lucky enough to find this truck and order here, DO NOT skip the veggie egg rolls! As I inhaled this food, I couldn't tell which dish was spicy, but it's just a tad and gives the meal a little kick. If you are sensitive to spiciness you might want to ask about it before you order. I'm also happy that they used recyclable containers for our takeout, not the toxic styrofoam plastics. Thanks for helping out the environment!

Their rice is microwavable Costco brown rice and quinoa, I eat it at home all the time and they 100% just use a microwaved rice packet. I wouldn't be surprised if the chicken was also from Costco (rotisserie).

Family owned LOCAL business, Asian Fusion, Thai and Vietnamese yummy flavorful food!!! Tried their Pad Thai, and it was sooo flavorful, a bit different than your common original pad thai, but this had so much flavor! The colors caught my attention! Ordered egg rolls and Chicken curry! I loved THEIR twist on the Pad Thai. Apparently you have to look them up online to see where their food truck will be set up since they go to different locations to cater. Had them because they were serving food to the workers of the Austin Regional Clinic in North Austin! Love supporting local businesses!

For $12 you can get a pretty good basic pad thai. Not sure why they don't use any veggies like bean sprout, bell pepper, or cilantro but I think it's up to par for the quality you'd expect from a food truck. The people working are also pretty friendly and efficient.

Ordered lunch through lunchdrop today. Very rarely do I not finish a meal, a Thai meal at that, however today was that day. The chicken curry I received was bland and uninspiring, even with the fire sauce included, there was nothing saving this dish. The serving included a few potatoes, and lots of chicken but when the dish is not up to par these things matter not. The egg rolls that I received however were awesome. The rest of the meal, disappointing. This was a one and done.

So good!! We had the pad Thai, the green curry and the egg rolls and nothing disappointed. Reasonably priced and full of flavor. Definitely check them out if you get the chance!

Rice with grilled tofu and egg

Chilantro and Blue Basil come by our offices weekly. And every week, that Chilantro line is crazy ridiculous. So, I don't eat it that often, but when I do, I am always flummoxed why it is so popular. I mean, it's fine; it's perfectly edible. I always get the rice bowl with tofu and egg. And every time I've ordered it, the tofu is dry and overcooked. EVERY TIME. And every time I've ordered it, Chilantro is out of lettuce. And sometimes, they're out of rice. So I am basically ordering rice, tofu nugget bowl, and soggy egg, or lettuce with tofu nuggets and soggy egg. Anyway, Blue Basil, on the other hand, hardly ever has a long line, which is a damn shame--for them. And their tofu rice bowl is REALLY good. Like, ridiculously good. Their tofu is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Their egg is well cooked. Their sticky rice is delicious. And their sauces add just the right amount of sweet and spicy. I am a major, major fan.

Not a good place for asian food. Everything tastes a bit weird. They also serve old stale noodles. Dont ever get the pad thai.

Horrible customer service! I had to wait 30 min because they forgot about me, when I only ordered 5 egg rolls. Never will I eat here again.

Sometimes I'll go crazy with the mushroom burger and it really is a gigantic block of cheese, but you have to be mentally and physically be prepared for it. I love mushrooms and thought about trying the Laughing Buddha which has a breaded/fried mushroom caps with cheese in between, but it might have been a bit too much cheese so I went with the Double Cheeseburger. The double cheeseburger is pretty much everything you want in a solid burger. 2 juicy smashed patties, perfectly melted cheese, and a great balance of toppings without being messy. The flavor is bold and beefy, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. It's the kind of burger that hits the spot from the first bite to the last. The cajun fries were super crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, and the onion rings ended up being one of the standout sides. They were thick-cut, crunchy, and not greasy at all, with a light batter that let the onion actually shine. Both dip well in their nirvana sauce. Service was friendly, and food came out hot. If you're craving a classic, well-made burger meal in Austin, Buddha Burger is absolutely worth a visit. Value wise, I'm still a Buddy's Burger fan as they're also super solid, but Buddha Burger is great too if you're in the area. Do be careful going up and down their stairs to order/pick up order.
