We also noticed on the main menu, they had two dollar oysters, so we ordered half a dozen. I ordered the salmon and he ordered the steak. The salmon was served on a bed of spinach and sweet potato purée. It was delicious. It was the perfect portion-- the steak unfortunately did not come with any sides. If you wanted any sides, you had to add them on additionally. We knew this going into the evening so we had no problem with that. I don't eat red meat, but my boyfriend said he enjoyed the steak. Unfortunately, when it came to ordering desserts, we ended up waiting over 30 minutes to receive them. I started to grow more impatient and requested the desserts to be boxed up to take home. We noticed the table next to us had been served their desserts before us even though we ordered before them, but we also noticed that they had a different server. I ordered the banana dessert, which was probably smaller than my fist. My boyfriend ordered the chocolate cake, which I forgot to snag a photo of, but it was very creamy and delicious. Once we received the bill, we noticed that we were charged four dollars per oyster rather than the two dollars that the menu reflected. The manager explained that we were served a happy hour menu not their regular menu and she was going to adjust the price just this one time. We appreciated the offer and she ended up actually comping the entire entirety of the oysters! This was a kind gesture. Although I was very irritated with how long it took to get the desserts, I appreciated that the managers kindness. Magical dining can always be a hit or a miss, but I would love to come back to this restaurant and try out their regular menu eventually!

I even asked John if he could switch it up to something more energetic like house music for the crowd. I stayed in this hotel eight years ago and had a great experience, so I recently returned for a couple of nights. During that time, I visited this bar three times for either/or drinks and light meals. Pro Tip- This is an upscale hotel so expect prices to be higher than your local bar. Ambience- In a word, modern. There is a big U-shaped bar in the middle surrounded by tables. It' quite pleasant and for my visits it's always been spotless! Pro Tip- As a guest of the hotel, my Wi-Fi was free, quite fast, and worked beautifully in the bar. Customer Service- I experienced two different bartenders, one extensively. Both were spectacular. Competent, friendly, and masters at judging the amount of attention a patron desired. Always a critical part of a bartender's position. Adult libations- It's a full bar here with plentiful choices including a good-sized top shelf. As previously mentioned, prices are commensurate with an upscale property. A vodka on the rocks was $9 and other drinks were much more. As you can see from my picture, my vodka arrived in beautiful glassware with custom ice. There were a few taps, but the beer selection was nothing exciting. I didn't get a chance to sample the wine. Food- On one visit I enjoyed a Steak Salad that was one of the freshest salads I have ever had. Truly delicious. Another time I had a classic Burger & Fries that was exceptional. So good I scarfed it down before I could take a picture! Conclusion- There are dozens of eateries and drinking establishments very close to this hotel, so the competition is fierce.
