I've been getting my hair…read morehighlighted/balayaged my whole life, have seen countless stylists, and I've unfortunately had plenty of experiences where I've walked out of the salon unhappy. That has never happened with Celeste. She takes the time to understand you, your hair, and exactly what you're looking for. She has an amazing intuition when it comes to hair and somehow just gets what will work for you. She will always makes sure you feel comfortable and confident before you leave her chair. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her clients and takes a lot of pride in what she does. Also her salon is gorgeous and you'll feel like you just stepped into a boutique hotel when you walk inside. It's such a relaxing, pretty environment you won't want to leave. I've since moved out of Hoboken and could absolutely find a stylist closer to home, but for the past 7 years I choose to drive an hour to continue seeing Celeste. That probably says everything you need to know about how good she is! If you're looking for someone who is talented, thoughtful, meticulous, and truly cares about getting your hair right, I couldn't recommend Celeste more. She's truly one of a kind!

I typically just get cuts and blowouts, although Celeste and I have already discussed color for covering my greys when the time comes! I often joke that I wish I had a more complicated service just so I could spend more time at Salon Phoenix. Celeste has created such a beautiful, calm, and welcoming space that you genuinely want to sit, relax, and chat. As much as I could happily stay for hours, I always leave feeling great. Not only does my hair look amazing, but I usually leave with a new book recommendation, a recipe to try, or a few beauty products to check out. One of the things I appreciate most about Celeste is her incredible memory. She remembers your likes and dislikes, special interests, and even the little things happening in your life. It makes every visit feel truly personal. I've never experienced a salon quite like this--completely one-on-one, with such personalized attention. Honestly, I don't think I could ever go back to a traditional salon setting. Salon Phoenix offers a truly high-end, concierge-style experience at an incredible value. I couldn't recommend Celeste and Salon Phoenix more highly. If you're looking for beautiful hair and an experience that feels genuinely personal and special, you absolutely have to visit.

I was offered the option to rebook with a regular artist, but the price was nearly double. When I asked politely if they could honor the apprentice rate or offer a discount since the cancellation wasn't on my end, they declined "because we called you yesterday and she had a dental emergency". It was disappointing to be met with a lack of empathy, especially since this left me scrambling at short notice. The color itself was fine, but just within a week, my hair became noticeably drier, much frizzier, and I've started seeing a significant number of split ends. Before this appointment, my hair was in very healthy condition, so the change has been quite dramatic. While I understand that lightening hair inevitably causes some damage, I wasn't expecting this level of dryness and breakage from a balayage service. This wasn't even my first time getting the treatment done. My ends now feel brittle and damaged, and my hair texture has changed in a way that has been difficult to manage. The salon itself was pleasant, but I wish there had been more care taken to preserve the health of my hair or more transparency about the potential level of damage. Based on my experience, I can't say I'm happy with the results.
