Been coming to bond for a few years and seeing Emma. She does an amazing job with my blonde hair and I never have to worry about how my hair comes out. She always cuts it exactly as I describe I want. I always leave happy and get so many compliments on my hair, even months out! They service delicious cappuccinos and drinks. DO NOTE GET COLOR uptown - I've been meaning to write this for a while, but after a full year of trying to recover my hair, I feel obligated to share my experience with BOND. I originally went in for a color glaze to match my brunette roots. The first visit was great, which led me to return eight weeks later. Unfortunately, the second appointment completely derailed my hair journey. Something went wrong during the color process or mixing, and instead of the rich cool toned brown I expected, my hair turned red. The change wasn't subtle--it completely altered my hair's tone and condition. When I returned to the salon to express my concerns, I was told I was "making it up." Not only was I left with damaged, mismatched hair, but I was also gaslit into thinking nothing had gone wrong. I will never return, nor would I recommend this salon to anyone. It has taken a full year--and multiple appointments with other professional stylists--to even begin correcting the damage. Every expert I saw had the same reaction: "What =did they do to your hair?!" To be fair, the haircut was great. But I strongly caution against getting color services here. I'll keep the stylist anonymous, but I hope this helps others make an informed decision. read more

Enzo and the team are truly spectacular. Have been coming to him for years since his old location uptown. Bond did a beautiful job with the new salon and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Coffee and drink menu is a nice touch while you wait. Patrick has been my guy for a few years but you really can't go wrong with anyone! Im prefacing this review with the fact that I've been going to various hair stylists at BOND since this new location opened and have had great experiences with each and every one of them so much so that I've recommended the salon to several friends of mine but this review is specifically for David, the receptionist / manager I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with yesterday. As a new mother, finding time for self-care is already a challenge, but my recent experience with David made it even more difficult. Despite my best efforts, I arrived 15 minutes late for my appointment due to unforeseen circumstances--needing to breastfeed my 3 month old baby, who doesn't have a schedule yet. Instead of understanding my situation, David charged me a fee for my tardiness, $65 for showing up late. On top of that, his lack of empathy left me feeling frustrated and disheartened. It's disheartening to encounter such inflexibility, especially when juggling the demands of motherhood. Furthermore, the salon doesn't open until Noon, which was the exact time of my appointment so I had no way of calling to explain my situation. Instead, I messaged the text service explaining that I would be 15 minutes late, which no one seemed to be monitoring. While I understand the importance of respecting appointments, I expected more compassion from a service-oriented establishment, especially given the circumstances. read more

Every time I go here, I'm reassured this is my hair place and Brooke is my hair stylist. Absolutely love her, Brooke understood what I was after and nailed the brief. Updating to my 2020 review! Got my haircut by Marylou on July 8, rescheduled from April due to the pandemic and it was perfect! Tried something new and Marylou is so patient and listens to every concern and gives suggestions which always end up looking so good! :) In December 2020, I couldn't get my usual balayage with Heather this time due to unforeseen circumstances however I was promptly rescheduled with Jade and had a fantastic experience! I had a very interesting experience at Bond on Washington St in Hoboken. I will start off my saying my hair turned out great (I got a glaze and blow dry) but the experience was an odd one. This was my first time at Bond so before I book, I do my research to decide who I want to do my hair. I booked a glaze with Nicole. When I got there, I sat in Nicole's chair and put my purse and glasses in front of me. We talked about the glaze color I wanted. I was then walked over to the sink and Nicole told me this is Emma and she will be doing your wash. The other stylist Emma did my wash and then proceeded to do my glaze. I sat in the sink for about 15 minutes and Emma comes back to finish rinsing it out and shampooing. Emma then brings me over to another chair to start my blow dry. I had to get up and grab my glasses and purse from the other chair where I started at because Nicole was booked with another client. Very odd they left my stuff in front of another person. I sat in the new chair and about half way done, another stylist names Adrienne says she's going to finish my blow dry. So I was passed to 3 different people and I expressed my concerns at the front desk when I was at checkout. She told me that the ones that helped at apprentices and that is all apart of the apprentice program. I let her know if I book a service with someone, I expect that person to be doing my hair. Nicole did not end up doing one part of my hair. All she did was mix the glaze color and had her apprentices do the rest meanwhile she gets paid for the service. I then had to tip 3 different people because they had multiple people doing my hair. It was so weird. And not once was I offered anything to drink. I liked the hair but not enough to return unfortunately. read more

When I called to get it fix, I got to know the colorist no longer works there ( whereas this person had promised me to add gloss to tone it down & blow dry my hair whenever I come back to get it fixed) Now the manager will not accept this, and says I will be charged for the services! Since writing this review a lot has changed- my hair color, hair length, my home location, and the location of the salon. However, the above and beyond service I receive from each person continues. I drive over an hour to get here because I know I will leave happy, no matter who i see. My personal faves: Cut- Enzo & Rachel Color- Alex, Tanja, & Jade. But seeing the rest of the stylists at work- you're in good hands, no matter who. Today I branched out and had Kelsey for color and Ashley for cut and style. They gave me exactly what I was looking for. I told Kelsey "the blonder the better" and she delivered. There were some color concerns due to permanent color used as a smudge roof at my local salon, but she was upfront and walked me through the process. I trusted her 100%. Marylou gave me one of my favorite haircuts ever. I have been looking for a new hairstylist in the area since I moved up here almost 3 years ago (I used to go to my last girl for almost a decade before this so it was a sad transition) and honestly liked but didn't love any of my other haircuts until this one. I have been to one other stylist at Toni and guy and honestly it was perfectly fine but I feel like marylou understood what I was not able to properly articulate to the other girl.
