I just finished getting my brows threaded at BB and I can say I am more than happy with the results! I had my brows threaded a long time ago when I was a freshman in high school, there are not many places around me that did threading but plenty that did waxing. I tried waxing for some time and then I had a friend who would tweeze them for free, but people have lives so I didn't want to keep asking her. Now if I were able to give this place a 0 I would but whatever. I decided to buy a Groupon deal for a wax and give this place a shot. I've read all the good reviews so as a girls day my sisters and I decided to treat ourselves. Me and one of my sisters arrived first. Two girls were in there, one asked my sister what we were there for and we stated a wax. She looked my sister up and down and then me and asked "both of you?" And my sister said yes. She said SIT DOWN. She proceeded to speak in whatever language she speaks to her co worker and they both looked at us while laughing and I don't know about you but I KNOW when someone is talking about me and the fact this girl did it in our faces and thinking switching the language would change the affect she got it completely WRONG! So before I did something I would of been wrong for I said oh no we won't be doing this! And told my sister to get up so we can leave. The girl who made the sly comments asked what happened and I simply stated I do not like your energy and left. Unprofessional and disrespectful on so many levels and if I decided to react with action instead of the way I did , things would of been looked at as different. I told EVERYONE who was going to do business with them to change their minds because No one needs a negative young child to work on our vagina anyways. I walked in on a Tuesday morning, the place was empty and there were 3 nice woman waiting for customers. A woman walked up to me & sat me down. I explained how I wanted my eyebrows threaded & she kind of did what I asked her to do but not quite. The threading experience was not too bad... what was bad was the waxing experience. DO NOT GET WAXING DONE HERE! I got my underarms waxed here and it was by far the worst experience. The woman was rough and inconsiderate, she also proceeded to thread the left over underarm hair... she didn't leave my underarms super smooth and my hair also grew back so quickly! I just moved to the area and to be honest I was a little scared to go at first because I read one bad review that really struck a chord, and the price is so cheap that I figured you get what you payed for, and I don't feel like paying anyone to screw up my brows, I can do that on my own. Well it came a time when my brows started connecting in the middle, like Bert from Sesame Street. I didn't have any special events or anyone to impress for a little while so I figured, what the heck, let me try them out and if they rearrange my face it'll grow back in a couple weeks. Well let's just say I walked away a very happy customer and I will be going back way more frequently (pre-brow connection). Getting your eyebrows yanked out of your face is never fun but it was way less painful than a lot of places I've been to. Been threading for about 7 years so I been around the block, from LA, to London, Germany, Paris and now NY. And the only place I found that can compare was this modest Indian family owned salon in London. Dipa did my brows and she got them spot on, actually better than I've had them in months. I've had a surprised right eye brow for a while now and I blamed it on getting older and my face probably starting to droop away. My last trip there was today, when I decided to bite the bullet and go for a Brazilian wax. I was a total newbie, so shy to have a stranger all up in my private bits, and terrified of the pain. The reviews lured me in and I'm so happy! My brows are fine, shaped a lil differently, and the tails are skimpy. I get them done only about once a year. Why? Because every time I do, they're either done too thin or one thinner than the other and I get mad and it takes me about a year to get my trust levels back up to let someone else touch them. I walked into Blossom today and saw just one person working, Rejma, who looks soooo young. I was nervous that she wouldn't be experienced enough to make my brows look good but I was so pleasantly surprised. My brows are both perfectly shaped, the same thickness, and even looked thicker than when I walked in. How does that work?? Came here after work during the wkday cos i saw so many good reviews!!! I was so curious about their eyebrow tint and i've been trying so many different things to darken my brows cos mine are jus so so light! I entered and was immediately greeted by one of the ladies, she seated me and began threading. I never had threading done before but read that it is better than waxing. It didnt hurt but i did feel nervous especially when she got to the bottom part of my brows. When she was done, my brows felt really clean. Then she talked to me about the color of tint i wanted. I told her i never did it before and was hoping itll give my brows a new shape. She told me that brow tinting was only to darken the hairs and it will not create a new shape. I then told her i had permanent tattoo previously which faded and since then i've been wantin a new shape. She told me that they do permanent tattoo as well but its a different lady who comes in on Saturdays only by appointments. I am interested but still need some time to think about it as i didnt have such a great experience the first time. So she did natural brown for my tint and it only took a few minutes! When i was done i saw new darker brows. There was a lil extra color in the corner area above my nose bridge but she reassured me when i get home and wash my face itll come right off. It sure did!!! I had pretty nice colored eyebrows and barely hafto color it in. I jus shade it slightly with dipbrow pomade. I attached a picture. I am happy with the threading and the eyebrow tint! I may end up doing it as a routine until i am brave enough to do the permanent tattoo again! read more

I went on the same day as this person who gave it one star, right around the same time... However I had a fine experience! When it comes to brows, I find that very often you get what you pay for. For me, this place did a fine job for 6 bucks, but my brows are kind of shitty to begin with. If you're very particular, you're gonna want to extend your budget greatly, go splurge at places like Anastasia Beverly Hills or a Benefit Brow Bar. Even then, I'm not sure the difference would be so remarkable... So that's saying a lot about this place. This place is SUPER close to my house - so I don't know why but was a bit nervous to try it because usually I have to trek to find good things. Stories for another day. Off I trotted to Blossom Brows to try eyelash extensions for the weekend ahead, why - because applying mascara is a waste of my life. I was one of those annoying customers who couldn't make up her mind and the girls all helped me pick the right lashes for my eyeballs. They showed me the mink and the cluster lashes, I ended up deciding to trial the cluster for $30 before I drop $90 on the real deal. I was not disappointed. My perfect lashes looked awesome, do they look natural? Probably not, but that wasn't really what I was after so I am super happy. I am so so happy with this place! I came here for my first bikini and leg wax ever and was so terrified. Even though I walked in asking for a lot done, I waited less than 15 minutes and was still apologized to for my wait. The esthetician was so nice, making sure the wax wasn't too hot and that I was ok. She put oil on my legs after the wax, and aloe gel on my eyebrows after getting them threaded which helped with any irritation, and pricing was extremely reasonable. I went to this location yesterday (spur of the moment) and the ladies were really polite and informative. I asked several questions & they were very open to answering. I got my eyebrows waxed ($6 dollars) & they did a great job in shaping them. (Although they did miss a few hair here or there) I also got waxing done and i could tell right off that the wax used were good quality wax. I have super sensitive skin. The ladies greeted all the customers that came in and out. To top everything off- i got eyelash extensions which took about 25-30 minutes ($30 dollars). The lady who did my eyelash really took her time & she made sure i was comfortable the whole time. ( I would do the silk eyelash extension, but i can't imagine sitting there for 45- 1 hour. for an alternative- do the group 3 lash extension. I think it works just as great.)
