Review for to-go: My first time coming here since it became Blooming VIP. After this visit, I would want to come more often. Plentiful parking in the morning. When I went inside the to-go area, seen pretty clean and not messy, it was only me and 2 other customers, which were in the roasted meat area, and I was the next one in line for dim sum. I didn't get her name, but the lady was so friendly, nice and patient. Any item that I chose, she would pick from underneath and give it to me so I don't get the one on top that's been exposed. She said I was lucky too because the chicken feet she happen to choose had 5 pcs instead of 4! Lol. She packaged everything nicely and at one point, was disrupted by another employee about a missed roast duck order - that did slow her down, as a line was forming behind me but she maintained her patience and even joked around with me. Overall, the food was warm and plentiful for just under $60. I got about 10 orders. Tasty and good size as well!

Loved my dimsum experience here! Food and service were both good. Came for dimsum on Christmas day and it was packed. Even parking was very hard to find in the lot, and we had to wait for a spot to open up. Luckily the restaurant was really big so my party of four didn't have to wait very long before we got seated. We ordered some dimsum dishes as well as some lunch dishes. All of the dimsum dishes were generally pretty good. My favorite was the fried shrimp egg roll. The steamed chicken feet was flavored well and skin was fall off the bone, beef balls were super tender, and shrimp rice noodle roll had silky smooth skin. Most dimsum items were in the $5.69 to $7.69 range, though I did see that prices are a bit cheaper if you come on weekdays (they have separate weekday vs weekend pricing for dimsum). Their desserts were really good as well. They were bringing around this giant pineapple bun which was supposedly invented by the owner here. I'm really glad we got one, as the mix of salted egg yolk, cheese, and pineapple inside went together surprisingly well. My favorite dessert was probably the coconut bun because it was super coconut-y. For entrees we got the lunch special dish, lobster with yi mian ($20.99), which we all thought was a steal. We really enjoyed the flavor of the noodles and thought there was a good amount of lobster for the price. We also ordered the kung pao chicken ($17.99) which had really good flavor and wok hei. We paid a little over ~$30 pp after tax and tip with some leftovers to take home, which isn't bad.

Complimentary desert. Coconut milk tapioca and taro.

This probably should be a 3.5 but decided to use 3.0 vs 4.0. The whole suckling pig is what brought us in but while the food is legit and there's no taste issue but they just didn't live up to expectations. The suckling pig is not something that you can get anywhere which makes this place unique but the pig we got could have had crispier skin. There are lots of private rooms here and they have banquet menus/options so you should still consider Blooming VIP. See my food pics and menu pics!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at VIP Blooming. From the moment we walked in, everything truly lived up to their name--VIP all the way. We ordered the 15 lbs king crab, and it was hands down the best. Fresh, flavorful, and worth every single dollar. You can tell the quality is top-tier. A special shoutout to Supervisor Max--top notch service. Attentive, professional, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. What really stood out is how well we were treated. All the staff are well-trained and truly know how to make you feel special. The service felt personal, warm, and genuinely welcoming--our family felt valued the entire time. We've now celebrated multiple birthdays for our children here, and they've always accommodated us with VIP rooms, making every celebration feel extra special and memorable. On top of that, our Frenchie baby Yema had just been spayed, and they were so kind and accommodating, making sure she was comfortable the entire time. That level of care meant so much to us. We live in Calabasas, and it's absolutely worth the drive. This is more than just a restaurant--it's an experience. So happy we found a place our whole family loves and where we're consistently treated so well. We'll definitely keep coming back.

Solid food! Truffle siu mai, very hot (temperature) and generous amount of bean curd wrap, and delicious chicken feet!

For a Chinese restaurant service pretty good! Quick and efficient, solid dim sum. Clean and spacious. Though I hear it gets really busy on weekends, I came on a Friday morning and it's perfect to get some hot dim sum without the crowds! No carts, just a menu you can order from. Would come back!

Parking was the hardest to find on Thanksgiving. The parking is shared with the entire plaza. Some of my family parked near the recycling center and we parked closer to the market. Some people dont know how to drive and blocked the way. My parents got there early to get a table. We were sat inside a room with other tables and two gender neutral bathrooms inside. You order what youd like from a piece of paper and they will cross it off when it gets delivered. Food does take a bit of time to get to you, so be prepared to drink lots of tea. The bussers and runners were friendly and nice. The food came hot and steaming. In the room that we were in, they had the football game on. They did take a while to clear the finished plates and containers. Overall, we enjoyed a nice breakfast with family. Just hated the parking.

Blooming VIP exceeded all expectations! We hosted a private room dinner here, and everything -- from the food to the service -- was truly exceptional. The dishes were beautifully presented and packed with flavor, each course better than the last. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our group was taken care of, making the whole experience feel seamless and special. The private room was elegant and perfect for an intimate gathering or celebration. If you're looking for a place that delivers amazing food, top-tier service, and a classy atmosphere, Blooming VIP is the spot. Highly recommend!

Recently came on a Tuesday night for my dad's birthday. They have a promo going on for the pig and lobster. Food was really fast and service was great as well. Inside is clean and remodeled. I definitely recommend in 626 area if you're looking for some chinese food!

Our family had booked out a banquet room. I was really eager and excited for some delicious SoCal Chinese, but unfortunately, this meal left a lot to be desired. Our poor server (not his fault!) was left as the only staffer in our room of over 40 people. That made getting drinks much slower... we didn't get water until the fourth course in. Warning- I would not recommend their scallop fried rice. My cousins and I all agreed- it wasn't great. Maybe most redeeming was the walnut shrimp? Both duck and chicken were very bony and not filling.

I was surprised that I really much enjoyed this Dim sum restaurant. One big perk about this restaurant was that it's not crowded even on the weekends. We didn't have to wait at all during the peak hours and there were still plenty of tables available through brunch/lunch service. Besides for the service being a bit spotty the food for the most part was phenomenal. We ended up getting the garlic lobster noodles that was advertised for good price. It was decent, not the best lobster noodles I've had but for the price it was good. Some dishes I would recommend here are the xiu mai, shrimp rice roll, and the taro lava ball. The dishes that I found were okay/whatevers were the ha gao, and the porridge. Overall I would consider this an above average dimsum spot with low wait times and I would totally be back here. Parking - Big lot but there are many stores. Pretty hard to get a spot when its crowded so come early if you don't want to wait for parking.

Eight of us went to Blooming VIP to try their roasted pig special. We were skeptical about the pig because some reviews said it was good and some said it was cold and the pig skin not crispy. But we all want to give it a try since $168 is a very good deal. Well, we were not disappointed about the roasted pig. The pig was still warm and very crispy when they served us. Size of the pig was just right for 8 of us. The rest of the food was expensive, serving sizes were okay and tasted ordinary. We ordered the green onion pan fried oysters, it was bad, the whole plate was covered with green onion, maybe 6 pieces of extra small oysters. I have to spit out the oyster because it tasted weird and no one else in our party dare to try it. The steam chicken (白切雞)wasn't good either. Now, why I give them a 4 star even I have so many complaints? Well, the service was good, ambiance was pleasant and clean. We might go back for the roasted pig again. Maybe try other dishes just to give them another chance.

This is a pricier place for dim sum, but the quality of food was definitely there. We waited about 45 minutes before getting seated for a table of 2. Once we got seated, we were served with the menu and a paper to check off which items we wanted off the menu. We got the classic dim sum items, all were good but again for the price, I feel like the taste is very similar to those at a more casual-scale dim sum spot. Something that was different than normal was the truffle siu mai. While I usually love truffle, I couldn't really taste the truffle in the siu mai. It added a nice flair to the siu mai, but I think I prefer the regular siu mai's more. The space inside the restaurant is huge. They have plenty of seating but it does get really packed. It's also located in a busy plaza, so while there is free parking lot, you might have to find parking on the street if you come at a very busy time. I definitely recommend coming here for dim sum if you want something a little more upscale. Their other non-dim sum food items also looked good, which I would love to try next time.

Baked Char siu bao. Baked BBQ pork buns. Pretty authentic and huge like it's the way back in the days! Bbq pork is on point.

I heard about their AYCE dim sum promo but that actually made me not want to come because I knew the wait would've been very long, and I hate waiting for a table just to eat. Fast forward to tonight and a suggestion was made to try the $14.88 dinner special at Bistro 1968. Here's my honest review of my experience. * Parking - Self parking behind the restaurant. I came on a Monday night dinner time , and there was only 2 cars in the entire lot. The parking lot was very creepy as it was't too well lit. I could see the kitchen from the structure because the backdoor was left opened. There were boxes and junk littered around the area. * You have to walk through a long hallway from the parking lot to get to the restaurant. There are signs to guide you, but if you're going there for the first time, it could be a bit confusing. * We got there at 7pm and there was only 1 table of customers. I honestly don't know how to describe the decor because it depends on which part of restaurant you're looking at. * Staff were all VERY nice. They gave us free dessert (Egg Tarts and Pineapple Buns) so that was awesome. * Food - I ordered the Fried Fish but it wasn't fully cooked. Some parts were still raw so it had a fishy taste. We ate a few pieces but left most of it untouched. Everything else was pretty much okay except for its temperature - it was lukewarm. Nothing was piping hot except for the steamed Pork Spareribs from their all day dim sum menu. * There were some small gnats that kept flying around and when one actually landed in my food, I just stopped eating altogether. * No alcohol available but definitely not a huge deal. Their staff are so nice that I actually feel bad about not writing a positive review about the establishment, but I really just don't see how I am able to rate it any higher than 2 stars. I don't think I will be coming back.

It was crisp and chewy without feeling too heavy from the oil, if you stop at one that is haha -#6 siu mai was also so jam packed with meat and juicy!
