I have been here multiple times and never had any issues until today. I chose 3 different colors for a gel manicure and they didn't have any of the ones I chose - so I chose a different color (hate it BTW), but the girl was standing there repeatedly asking if I had chosen a new color. My nails were round shape when I walked in and she asked if I wanted the same shape I said yes and I got short and square (see picture below). Also, the girl (not sure of her name) was pulling my hands/pushing them slightly harder then she needed to. When using the file, I told her she was hurting me and she continued. Asked me about 5 times if I wanted a pedicure, all of which the answer was no. Needless to say, I will not be going here again. read more

Not sure why Yelp says wheelchair accessible. There is about an 8 inch curb step to enter in the door. There is no way a wheelchair or someone using a walker can safely get into the front door without a lot of assistance. As per nails, I've only gotten pedicures here. They do a good job and massage for awhile but I feel like they can do a better job scrubbing and working on callus and cuticles. read more

I have only had pedicures here but I'm always pleased with them. I love their massage chairs too. Great prices and great pedicures with any of the technicians you get. Sometimes if you are lucky to get a spot upstairs it's really nice. Very quiet and relaxing up there. I am taking off one star for the lack of parking. Even with my very short nails, they do a great job with gel at an awesome price point. Their pedicures are probably some of the best I've had. The only downside is the parking as it can get busy. But other than that I make the drive to Wayne when I can and deal with parking because the quality of service is great! read more

I have come here twice without an appointment and both times they were happy to take me with little to no wait. The staff are quiet, but do a phenomenal job. My last gel mani lasted over 3 weeks without chipping, that's a record for me!! Update: my friends and I are hooked on this place! We love it!! First time here at this new salon in what is a bit of an odd yet central location in an old house on Hamburg Turnpike. I'm impressed! If you're looking for a place that can do really intricate and detailed nail art, Blooming Nails is your spot! They can literally do ANY design. I recommend looking on their instagram or pinterest for design ideas. Just walk in and show the nail tech the pic on your phone and she will do it. All/any designs are only $5 extra. This place is quick, clean, and does a very great job on the manis/pedis. Be sure to make an appointment, this spot fills up! The only downside, it is on the pricier side- my gel manicure with design ran me about $40 including tip. As far as nail salons go, I have to say I'm very impressed. Blooming Nails has another fan! Too bad I live so far away, otherwise this would be my go to nail spot. Came for a pedicure with my girlfriend and we were taken promptly at our appointment time. Love that they have disposable liners for the pedicure chairs. Cleanliness scores major points with me in these places. My pedicurist took her time and at no point did i feel rushed. She gave a damn good massage too! They had a great nail polish selection and even have an ATM on the premises if you do not have cash for your tips. Overall, a very smoothly run operation with women who were friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Only downside, is that parking is limited. read more

I was having a very bad week and just stopped in based on the positive reviews on yelp to relax. Everything was great Until the technician doing my pedicure started speaking negatively about me in Spanish to the technician next to her. At that point I just wanted to leave, it ruined my experience.I'm a licensed cosmetologist in NJ, this is extremely unprofessional, I would never think of doing something like this in front of clients. Well, this is not only the second bad manicure in a row from Blooming Nails, but Christine may have achieved the rare feat of giving me my absolute WORST manicure EVER, and I've had more than my fair share of airport XpresSpa manicures. I asked for rounded, and was given mostly flat. I say mostly because each nail had its own unique shape -- flat in the middle, long and round on the right side, some not even filed on the left side, others filed so super-short they were almost triangular on one side. They're all unevenly filed and shaped, poorly painted (streaks and gaps galore), cuticles left hanging underneath and on the sides. I've honestly never seen such a bad manicure. Just disgusting. If I have to come home and file my nails myself to make them a semi-consistent shape and presentable, I might as well save my money and do own whole manicure from the start! I would've complained, but don't have time time for a second manicure -- do it right the first time! I don't think it would've made a difference anyway -- she's so busy answering the phone and talking to everyone in the place, she clearly wasn't listening to anything I said; if she was, she would've heard me say, TWICE, that I wanted rounded nails. I asked if she was going to fix an uneven nail and cuticle I saw hanging, and she didn't even acknowledge that I'd spoken - she was too busy suggesting that two other customers sit next to each other for their pedicures. Seriously?! How about you hire a receptionist for the phones and greetings, and focus on doing manicures? Or, YOU be the receptionist and devote all your attention to that? I normally give a business 3 strikes before putting them on my "never go again" list, but this manicure is truly so bad it may qualify as two strikes on its own. It's a HUGE disappointment and shame, because I really did like this place once upon a time -- it's clean, inexpensive, and most of the staff is very friendly. But I come and open my wallet for nail services... if you can't provide quality nail services, my wallet goes elsewhere. First time there and had a terrible experience. Went I. For a regular mani/pedi. Mani was okay, but the nail polish/way my nails were painted were terrible. The coats were uneven and chipped quickly. The pedi was the worst I ever had in my life. The lady was digging and digging into my big toes to the point I thought I was going to bleed. I said ouch multiple times and she continued. Same polish on my toes also chipped very quickly. Maybe cheap or old polish idk. I'll never go there again. read more

I went here with my sister for a gel manicure (my sister got a full gel set) and was surprised by how nice it looked inside! My nail tech was a bit cold and barely said 3 words to me. I am not thrilled about how she shaped my nails, as well, since my "square" nails look square from afar but up close, one side is rounded and the other is squared on almost every single finger. It irks me every time I look at my nails. But overall, the gel manicure was neatly done. I have heard nothing but raves about this place but my experience was nothing to rave about. It was PACKED and the place is small. The parking is a nightmare and I was surprised no one hit me while I was pulling into the back (which should really only be a one way). My pedicure was a max of 15 minutes and was very rushed. Now soothing message, I barely had any time to soak my feet. Next I got a gel mani and again rushed. No oil or soaking the lady just pushed and ripped my cuticles off. Great if you are looking for just an in and out trip to the saloon. But I would like to enjoy my time. This is hands down the best nail salon I have ever been to! (and I have been to a lot! ) Every time I go to Blooming Nails, I have an incredible experience. Each technician is great for gel manicures. They take their time and my nails always look amazing. For pedicures, I cant get enough! I always do a spa pedicure (Lavender is my favorite one) and it is worth the money. I have gotten a different girl every time yet they are all AMAZING! I am in the chair for at least 45 minutes. They truly give you a spa experience, massaging each leg/foot for a minimum of 20 minutes EACH, wrapping your feet and putting a heated pad around it. My legs and feet feel amazing after and of course the polish comes out perfect. As far as acrylic nails (they call it UV gel set) Christine or Danny are both amazing. I have not gotten UV gel set from anyone else who works there but I am sure they are great too. They are pricey, $80, but it the best I have ever had. I have had fake nails on for the last 13 years so that is saying A LOT! They don't just glue a nail on, they use UV gel to form an extension to your nail, which is why it last twice as long as acrylics. It also looks more natural! I show them a picture of the shape and they do replicate it exactly! They always listen to the exact shape and length I want. I love my nails every single time I get them done! Whether its gel or a UV Gel set, my nails look incredible and last a long time! read more

I tried this place because it was voted best nail salon in the Wayne area. The pedicure was very nice but similar to others I've had. The location is the bottom of a small house with an extremely tight driveway. The inside is tidy but appeared worn as the padding above the tub where you place your feet was stained and honestly looked really dirty. I didn't even want to put my feet on it but the woman put a paper towel over it and I temporarily forgot it was dirty. Pedicure was $20 so overall a good value for the money. read more

The women who do the manicure are very nice. BUT the women who do the pedicures are very rude. I'm bilingual I also speak Spanish. The women who do the pedicures seem to always have some sarcastic remark or seem to be mocking the customers. The majority of the clientele don't speak Spanish so these women get away with it. But I understand them and it's so rude! I had one of these ladies make a remark about me Because I asked my tech to do something. Then they both had an attitude after I gave them a sarcastic remark right back. As I stated before the manicure are pretty good. This is one of the best nail salons I've been to in a while. And one that actually does nail art! They were super busy but made sure I got what I asked for. The salon is incredibly clean. Someone is always sweeping or taking care of the bathrooms. I love that they use disposable liners for the pedicures! As for the manicure, I showed the manicurist, Rachel, a picture from Pinterest and she made sure everything matched perfectly. I've been coming to Blooming Nails consistently for nearly a year. I LOVE their gel manicures. I've been to easily a dozen+ salons in the area and no one does them as flawlessly as Blooming Nails, nor do they last as long. They literally last a FULL 2+ weeks without any chipping or peeling. It has been life changing, as I hate peeled/chipped nail polish. I also love the nail art I occasionally get done on a few nails. I've only had their regular pedicure and it is lovely. Nothing life changing, but relaxing and the polish is long lasting. Parking is good, although sometimes on the weekends it gets a little hectic. I love that they are open on Sunday, and all the ladies that have worked on me have been pleasant and wonderful.
