I've driven past this nail salon almost everyday for past 5 years and finally decided to stop by and check it out. Only got a pedicure but staff was friendly, place appeared clean, and my pedicure turned out fine. They are also one of the few nail salons remaining with decent prices. Strip mall parking. I went to this salon for a pedicure and had a horrible experience. My technician was extremely rude to me and I disliked the French design she did. It looked beyond amateur and I was disappointed. I ended up having to go to a different salon after to have it redone. Id recommend Happy Nails in Wayne they did so much better! Would never go back here or recommend to anyone. read more

Not my usual spot but I got a gift certificate for Christmas so I went for a pedicure. One of the few places that has not jacked up their prices and the staff is friendly, I got a great pedicure. Patrons were obnoxious (grown women blasting tik tok videos, unreal), but I would return on a quieter day! read more

Although very nice people, unfortunately, not a good mani pedi. I've had 4 broken nails due to the way they were filed, nail polish chipping on both pedi and mani. Was hoping it would be good as I was looking for a closer place to go to. read more

I hated it- I also hate writing bad reviews because I know that people are inherently good and I don't want to cause any lost income- but I felt I needed to pass this along. I tried this place for the first and time- I waited for 40 minutes just to soak gels off and for a regular manicure. I finally sat with the sick tech who kept rubbing her nose and touching my hands. Feeling sorry maybe she has kids she needs to provide for and can't miss work. Either way, she pulled out the gun to blast my gels off and I asked her to please soak. She told me "no English" and put the gun back on forcefully trying to get the gels. I stopped her again and explained I want a soak, the gun will ruin my nails. Again- "no English"- I asked the tech next to her to tell her I want a soak. She took out a giant bowl of acetone and stuck both my hands in the bowl. No foils, no cotton balls- just my hands entirely submerged in acetone. Not a big, big deal. But just another poor technique. Then she brought out the gun again- which I understand is how some places get gels off, but as soon as she started she cut my cuticles again and again. I finally stopped her and asked her to file because she was hurting me. She told me "no English" - I grabbed her nail file and showed her and she told me no and put the gun on. I finally just grabbed the file again and told her I'll file my gels off myself. Then she snatched the file from me and proceeded to file. I get that it's time consuming, but I don't care when it comes to cutting me. Then came the manicure- and I won't get into how bad that was, but it was bad. The paint job even worse. I tried being nice and patient- but this woman had an attitude and had an obvious cold that she shouldn't have been handling people. She was lazy and rude. When I was finished, she pointed to the drying table and went in the back room. No "thank you", no massage, she didn't even put the dryer on for me. So that was that. Until I went to the place next door to eat and she was in front of me ordering her chicken parm with extra cheese in perfect English. I was stunned. Unreal. One last note- I listened to one of the other techs and her customer talking. The customer had severe pain in her nails from gels. She explained that she needed to take a few months break to let her nails grow back. She explained that it was from the gels and the tech agreed !! No one ever mentioned the gun. The tech then explained she would be better off with acrylics- what!? I was so upset listening to this. The tech was just trying to make a buck off this woman who knew nothing about nails. Very very mad and disappointed leaving this place and I will never return. read more

My mom and I have been going here for years and we love this salon! Tracie always does my moms nails and I usually have Jenny or Hannah. All 3 do amazing jobs. Betty is really great with gel manicures as well but I don't see her too often anymore unfortunately. Great salon, just ask for one of them! read more

Don't know how this place is still in business. Went for a pedicure they barley did anything. All they did was remove old nail polish and started to add on the first clear coat. Where is the actually pedicure???? Left with out polish and still charged the full price.I even told the lady that she barely did anything left all the dead skin on and she was just going to add polish over it. I truly miss the quality at locations in Montclair and GlenRock NJ who charge the same price but actually provide a pedicure service. read more

I have been going to Nails unique for about 10 years now and have always been very happy. Everything is clean & prices are reasonable. They charge by what you're having done and never dollar you to death on anything. I am constantly getting compliments on my nails where ever I go because of the artwork that I get are the one finger on each hand. Tracey is the one that does my nails and Jenny when Tracey is out. I am very picky with the way my nails are done and never have any complaints but always satisfied an extremely happy with the outcome. I've been coming here for about six months. They do a great job at a great price. A gel fill is $35. Pedicures are great too. Staff is friendly and they work quickly. I often can go 3 weeks before I need another fill which I love because I find getting my nails done very boring..lol. read more

Worst pedicure ever! Nice people, but they really shouldn't be doing pedicures

I would give this place a zero star review if I could. Was not worth the $10 I spent on a manicure. The girl I had needs to go back to school. My cuticle were atrocious and the girl didn't cut them, let alone pushed them back. When it was time for the top coat, she missed half my nail and when I asked her to fix them, she rolled her eyes and didn't even fix them. Will never go back! Don't even waste your time. read more

Every time I get my nails done I always go to unique, last summer I got a new set there and was okay with the result but with each visit my nails just keep getting worse and worse I decided to take a break. I just went back last week to get my nails done and I am utterly disappointed in how they came out. Not only is each nail a different shape but they are not how I asked them to come out what so ever. I will never be going back to this salon again. They are very nice ladies but too many chances have been given. read more

It's hard to write this because it's not that I dislike the people or the place. But their techniques were just a little too different for me. My pedicure was fine but you could tell she wasn't comfortable to really "dig in" as I call it. Really grab at the cuticles and scrub. I felt like it was more of a polish change. Afterwards I decided to get a regular manicure, but I didn't want color. It took her awhile to understand it. Finally her co-worker explained and she understood. My cuticals (which is the biggest reason I get manicures professionally done, because I pick at them) were pretty hard, she put them in water to soak but not long enough. So she was cutting them pretty hard which made them bleed. But I didn't really mind that. It just seemed bizarre the order of things- putting cutical oil on last, and other random things. By the time I left my hand was so oily still I could hardly open my car door. But the staff was so friendly and welcoming, I love their "home-feel" decor and how clean it is. But I think I'll keep this place on the back burner for awhile. read more

I have been looking for a new place in the area to get my nails done. I saw the pictures of the nail designs and I was happy that i might have foud somewhere to go. I went and things started out great. I got a full set, she took my old ones off with ease, the length was great, didn't cut my fingers with the file, the acrylic was put on nice. Could have been smoother has there were some lumps. When we started with color etc is where i should have run for the door. I told her a dark green.. she suggested lime green and if i put dark green glitter over it that would make it darker.... I was like no. I found a green a liked myself after she suggested another lime green. I couldn't believe it. then i asked if the had gliiter powder like online she showed me all the different colors i picked silver. She ws very pushy though in wanting me to use the gliiter polish, i said no. She painted my nails then proceeded to take off the green where i wanted the glitter, i thought it was very odd but let her do her thing (thinking of the pics online) she put on all the glitter and it was lumpy and thrown on like a preschoolers art project, I figured she still needed to file it down......she went to put on the finishing coat of gel. I asked her, don't you still need to file down the mounds of glitter.. she said oh yea and in filing ruined the green. after 10 coats of gel and numerous filing she said i was done. I was so mad, The owner saw and wouldn't let me leave they were so bad. she sat me in her chair and told the other girl to go away. she attempted to fix it....10 more coats of gel and extensive filing nad glitter nad more gel coats she said i was done... they were a little better and i was just mad.. now they were sticky because of all the gel and acitone... I just wanted to leave. The owner then says it would have been easier if you did glitter polish, the lady taht did my nails yelled over, that's what i said but she wanted the powder. The owner says oh well the girl that does all the designs that you see online isn't here today.. I was like WELL THAT would have been good to know an hour ago. Mid nail she yelled SHIT and then ran to the back of the salon for a coffee spill and she wasn't wearing any shoes...It was the last straw that is so unsanitary. I will be going somewhere else to get them fixed. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years at various places and this was the worse. read more

My two daughters introduced me to this place . They have been customers for more than two years and are always very happy with the service and the work. I started going there about 3 months ago for my pedi and it has always been wonderful. Most importantly, they always have time to fit me in. My schedule is very irregular so i have to make last minute appontments. they always take me with a smile and I am finished in no time! read more
