To be completely honest, I love this place and I will keep coming back. I have been to other places that charge an arm and a leg for a mediocre at best mani/pedi/acrylic nails. I've been consistently going for about two years now and have even gotten most of my friends and my mom to start getting their nails done here. My acrylics can stay on for about 2+ months before I need to fill them. Susie is the best nail tech I'll update when I can find more picture of my nails done. read more

I'm not sure where these good reviews are coming from, this place is disgusting! I went with my friend we both got pedicures, I got a gel mani and her a regular mani. I was going to get my eyebrows done but after seeing the place absolutely not. It was a Saturday and we couldn't find another appointment or else we would have left. I told her not to even do my cuticles, all of their tools came from the drawer!!!! None of the tools were under any disinfectant solution, light, or even in a clean package. All of the disinfectant solution jars were EMPTY on the tables I noticed. I'm shocked we didn't get an infection. Not to mention my GEL manicure is chipped not even 2 days later and her regular manicure was ruined a day later. I would not recommend and never go back. It's cheaper than everywhere in the area and now I can tell why. read more

I enjoy coming here because they have great prices, and 4 min away from my home! Can't beat that. I have only gotten gel and dip powder manicures here, can't comment on anything else. Millie has done my gel manicure both times and she is wonderful!! My nails look so good. I took off one star due to my dip powder experience, which seems unlike many other dip powder experiences I have heard: in less than 2 weeks, it started to chip and top coat was flaking off on several nails. There were a lot of layers done, too, and looked really thick, not my favorite... I called the salon and the manager said to come in and he would fix them himself. It was really nice of him to spend the time not only fixing the 4 nails, but also providing an additional top coat on the rest, free of charge. However, it started to chip again next week. So, dip powder is not for me, possibly because I clean a lot?? I came back to have it removed and replaced with a gel mani by Millie. I am a happy customer and will be back for more of these. read more

They always do an amazing job when I come in. I've tried other places in this area and most of them leave me with extremely uneven and sloppy looking nails. Then the places that do a decent job charge way more. They have fair prices and my nails always come out looking great so I can't complain. read more

I've had several disappointing experiences on Route 23, especially as it is tough to find nail salons that are open on Sundays (which tends to be my availability). I came back to Kay Nails for the 3rd time today, as they have experience and an excellent technique when applying a full gel set. Danny was very kind when I explained that I'd be traveling for three weeks and I really needed them to look good - he promised they would last for two months! They know what they're doing here - my last two sets from Kay Nails lasted well into two weeks. I will now see how they are after three weeks, but they are strong, thin and have "clean lines" (unlike the last place I went to, which left me with a goopy set that started falling off the day after..!) read more

I went here last week for a gel nail manicure and regular pedicure. The gel nail manicure starting cracking and peeling by the end of the day. The pedicure top coat was bubbled and instead of correcting the problem, they just put more polish on top and then another bubbled top coat. In all, I wasted close to $60 at this place. read more

Don't go to Karen. She was so harsh she cut my cuticle so bad it is still throbbing 4 days later. It bled and she acted like it was no big deal. Claimed I had a hangnail on my toe and gouged it out. That also is still aching. I even told her not to do my cuticles. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Also engaged in talking in Spanish with coworker entire time which was annoying. I was referred by a co-worker and loved the service at first. As I slowly became a regular, the service became disappointing. I would have to wait 30 minutes, even though I always had an appointment. My nails were always uneven and thick! Also, the owners allow new people to train and the one guy kept burning me, even when I told him to stop. He must not be fluent in English. read more

I went there for a pedicure and i asked them to take off my acrylic nails as well and have a french gel manicure... the pedicure was amazing but one of the workers cut my nails too short and i ended up bleeding from multiple fingers! I've been to this salon several times for gel fill manicures but I've noticed that next to the work stations, there are no licenses for the manicurists posted, which I've seen in other shops. Also, I've never had the same person twice; the person I've had before doesn't even seem to even work there the next time I go in. The last "manicure", however, did me in. I'll never go back there. I sat in the chair to which I was directed but there was no one there. Eventually a young guy came in with a cup of coffee, wearing a dirty T shirt. He'd come in from outside and didn't bother to wash his hands before he started the gel fill. Halfway through, a man came into the shop to talk to the manicurist, who told me he'd be back in 5 minutes. He got up and left the shop, talking to the guy outside. After 5 minutes or so, I asked the owner or manager what was going on and he told me that the manicurist was trying to selI his truck. He stayed outside for another 10 minutes or so, at which point I told the owner or manager, not sure of his position, that I was leaving. And I did. read more

Lilly does a nice job on nails but she does not pay attention to her customer. I showed up for my 6pm appointment and was told she was picking up her son and they were on their way. Then after she shows up late, she takes someone in to do their waxing. When she finished that I thought she was ringing up the customer but was walking her son to dunkin donuts for a snack. Finally I told the owner I was leaving and he barely acknowledged me and gave a forced I'm sorry. I just can not believe a salon can run this way and keep customers. read more

Been going here on and off for a few years for nails and pedicures. they do a decent job but are always very busy. If you don't have an appointment you'll wait at least 1/2 hour weekdays, probably longer on the weekend. Also, I've found that they don't always listen to what you want done..you tell them, and they do it the way their used to doing it...a little frustrating. Last time I was there. It was great. I got a naile design and the guy told me that any design was possible he would work with me etc. This time he was booked I was a walk in (now i know that walk ins welcome mean then will give you to the crappy person sitting there that can't book an apointment) I said i didn't want anyone who couldn't do nail art/design I provided three pictures. I was told it would be no problem. It was time for paint and it went horribly wrong. She told me what i wanted she couldn't do, so i picked another design that i showed her..completely forgot about it and went on painting when ever she wanted. She then blamed me for the paint not drying right. Then when i settled for a horrible glitter paint I asked her to make it not lumpy and she HISST at me.....and continued painting. Then forgot to put a cover gel on it so they were all sticky, again she blamed it on me. I will never ever ever go there without an apointment with Danny or the other guy there. They just want your money and will do what ever they can to get you out the door. read more

I don't want to give them any stars! Worst gel manicure in my life. First the girl didn't even know how to take gel polish off, so had to wait for the guy (don't know his name) to come over to quickly remove the polish. Then she barely filed my nails before starting polishing. She polished ONE NAIL AT A TIME!! which was ridiculous.. the polish looked ok in the dimly lit nail salon, 2 days later and my nails have lost the polish color. They are translucent, except for the nails that she put 4 coats of polish (she forgot which nails she polished ONE AT A TIME so some have 2 coats some have 4 or 5.. she almost forgot to polish my thumbs ). I almost forgot, I was with my friend and she asked for her nails to be squared off.. neither the girl nor the guy could satisfy her request.. so she filed her own nails as they stood and watched her. They could not have had any type of training.. NEVER AGAIN read more
