Globe has a lot of mining history, since 1875 it's been finding precious metals and rare turquoise, but Bloom might be the town's most valuable treasure yet! It's flabbergasting how amazing this place is. Went here with friends and then once more solo, both times were phenomenal. First time I had salmon nigiri and the Singapore curry chicken. To be honest, I was slightly concerned about ordering anything with fish--it's Globe, AZ, the middle of the desert and I was thinking fresh fish seems like a far off catch. But I was completely wrong, the salmon SUPER fresh! The second time I tried their Trust Me Roll, which changes daily and is a unique creative roll designed by one of their chefs. The roll was sublime! Thinly sliced Korean beef on top a California-like roll with wasabi peas and spicy mayo! So good! It was crunchy due to the wasabi peas, it had spice, and also bold flavor from the beef. All of it came together perfectly! I also had their Miso soup and it was the best bowl I've ever had. No joke. It had BIG pieces of tofu, carrots, broccoli, rice, and also the usual green onion and seaweed. Worth getting! The best part, besides the food, was the atmosphere. It's an amazing 5 star restaurant settled in the historic downtown area of a mining town where most people seem to know each other, or of each other. While settling in, locals were talking to each other from their own respective tables and raving about what they were eating, "You gotta try the pork shank today!", "Have you tried the Trust Me Roll yet!?" It was like being in the coffee shop from Gilmore Girls, everyone collectively weighing in on what to order, but instead of a coffee shop it's their own personal amazing Asian restaurant. So the food was excellent! Quaint outdoor seating area!!! Inside the music was way too loud so we chose to be seated outside. We had a crazy sister roll, an it's always sunny in Arizona roll, an ice tea and a water. The dipping plate and the soy sauce bottle the server brought to the table were sticky with dried on soy sauce, yes... the dipping plate too! The it's always sunny in Arizona roll came on a plate that had a huge chip out of it, my husband had ice tea and when the server offered a refill for him she brought him water. Really?????? They were not that busy as we were there toward the end of Lunch Rush. When I told the server that the plate had this huge chip and needs to be thrown away, the response was "oh". No apology or anything. Also when the server came to collect, she cited the total due off her I-Pad without offer an itemization. I had to ask and she did not offer a receipt. Driving home from Pinetop solo, and end up in Globe very hungry, but want to eat healthy. I've been to Bravo several time's but wanted to try Bloom for Asian Fusion. Started off with a "It's always sunny roll" which was awesome. I sat at the sushi bar, and really enjoyed watching the chefs. It looked like a well choreographed dance. They were all singing along with the music, bopping, and laughing with each other...it's a rare sight these days. My main course was the Kung pow chicken. Stopped by for a early lunch while traveling to the valley from show low. I ordered two sushi rolls and a drink. rolls came out very quickly and were presented nicely on the plate. So my husband and I used to go to this place called Asian kitchen in Mesa or Gilbert and we loved it. It was one of two restaurants we really loved a long time ago and then it disappeared and then we saw the owner that used to cook there on Arizona highways magazine, TV show and it was the same guy and he had opened a restaurant up in Globe. Tried it, loved it. We drive all the way from Gilbert to Globe just to eat there every chance we get. Haven't found anything in the east valley that even compares. Well worth it. read more

I had visited Bloom a little while back and was not happy with the miso soup, but I figured it's just soup I can order something else. Well, I gave the restaurant another try. I'm not sure why the service went downhill, but it has drastically. My guy and I arrived at a fairly busy time, but we were greeted which is a plus, and told we could sit wherever. I grabbed a small table since there were only two of us dining. A young man came over and wiped down our table and another person came to get our drink order. The drinks arrived promptly. The blonde haired waitress showed up a little later and she really didn't act like she wanted to be at work. My guy was in a goofy mood and tried to make a joke to her when she asked what we would like. He said "food". Again with no change in her expression she asked again what we would like to order. He smiled and said "food". Now granted I've had long days at work and dealing with the public can be exhausting, but a little humor can help turn a yucky day into a better one. Evidently not with this particular waitress. She snapped back "if your not ready to order I can come back later!" At this point I told her what we both wanted. Personally I thought she was rude and her behavior was uncalled for. Our appetizers came pretty quickly and I LOVE their seaweed salad. It is divine. We also purchased the coconut shrimp and the Buddha shrimp. They are both very yummy. I usually always get the same thing so I decided to try the Shenzeng chicken (or however you spell it), and I was not impressed. It was extremely salty with hints of orange. My guy ordered something with curry I think and he did not particularly care for it. But we were both hungry and decided we did not want to wait further if we had returned it and ordered a different menu item. The other staff helped to clear off our table, which was one of my complaints in my prior review, which was helpful. The tables are small and the dishes are large so if the empty dishes remain on the table you can't eat comfortably. When we were done eating we still had food leftover that we wanted to take home. We figured we could season the food our way at home and food prices are too high to leave leftovers. Lol We tried to flag down our waitress and she quipped that she would be there shortly. Well she never showed up. A nice young man brought us our togo boxes and another waitress with brown hair in a bun was very nice and brought us our bill. I wish she had been our waitress from the start. She was very friendly. I don't plan on visiting Bloom again. I truly hope the service and food gets back to how it used to be, but for now I would rather dine elsewhere. read more

Great variety on their menu! ALL of the sushi rolls I had were amazing each time I visited. The appetizers were also great - the edamame is reliable and the spicy shrimp is worth trying. Okay, look: if you're not from Globe, you need to know that when you come to visit Globe everyone will tell you to try this place. If you're from the Valley, however, you will recognize this as standard strip mall fare sushi. Lots of fried things, including a particularly regrettable "seared steak" (it was ground beef) roll. It's called the cowboy roll. It's probably an old family recipe... from the Frankensteins. Some things should not be made, the cowboy roll is among them. Service is alright and friendly but the food is horribly overpriced for its taste. And for what's its worth the small space means cold air whooshes in on you every time the door opens. read more

Thank you for bringing sushi to Globe. I have only tried this place once when it first opened. But my first impression is that it's in a nice small location which is typical of Japanese eateries. I like the atmosphere. The rolls are also very delicious and fresh. I would recommend a reservation prior to eating here definitely and do not eat here if you're in a rush (good eating shouldn't be rushed anyway). I'm a sushi fan and overall fan of all Asian cuisines so I frequently take trips to the valley or even out of state to try restaurants. It's nice to have one close by. Will try again soon. read more

I'm going to keep this down at 4 stars until I try Bloom again. Been thru Globe numerous times but never tried any of the local fare. We decided to try Bloom on a Wednesday evening shortly before closing (8pm). We were sat and served immediately upon arrival. I ordered the Ancient House Special (chicken & shrimp) fried rice and my girl had Flash (Susuki fried fish with special sauce over fried rice). Not sure all the ingredients were authentic but both were pretty tasty, and both portions were enough to take half home. After trying 5 restaurants (for the first time) in the two days we were there, Bloom came out on top for dinner and The Copper Hen was tops for breakfast/brunch/lunch. No other restaurants came close for quality of food or speed of service. I'll give them another chance for 5 stars next time I'm in town! read more
