Fast, friendly. The service was amazing! The truffle salmon was delicious. I got the New York roll, and it was tasty. This place is casual, but nice.

Sadly, the only thing I took a picture of him holy guacamole, and this truffle dish was phenomenal

. Service was phenomenal--and so was the sushi. My husband has been trying forever to get me to come here, and I was honestly very apprehensive about eating sushi in the desert (we just bought a cabin up in Pine). He had a really hard day and asked if we could go, and I finally said okay... holy guacamole, I am SO glad we did. The restaurant was extremely clean, and you could tell everyone working there truly knew what they were doing. The owner's daughter was amazing--so friendly and knowledgeable--and she gave us great recommendations on what to try next time. Even the cook came out to check on us. Everyone was attentive and welcoming. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for great service, and food, can't wait to come back

For a sushi place in a small town in Arizona, we were shocked and amazed as to how fresh the sushi tasted. The tuna and salmon cuts were delicious. The place was clean and beautifully decorated and the service was so friendly and hospitable. They have a sushi roll named for each 50 US state which is kinda cool. It's a gem in the city of Payson.

We've eaten here several times since one of my favorite places to eat, although it is very pricey for sushi. I've eaten her many times and my son has eaten her with me most of those times and we've had no problems but the last time we ate here we both got food poisoning me minimally because I had one bite of his chicken cutlet and he ate half of it and took half of it home. It still sits in the refrigerator. He had food poisoning for over 48 hours. For 30 of those, he could not keep anything down. I contacted the restaurant and they said we have never been told we've had this happen before but I keep my receipts and I could tell them what table who my server was and what time I was there what I ordered and how much the total was and frankly for $91 I do not expect to get food poisoning. I heard back from management after a few days and they are refunding the meal. We will not be ordering the chicken cutlet again, but we will eat sushi and other dishes there as I said this is a regular place that we enjoy.

This place was great. Service was top notch and Food was very delicious! I appreciated how well they treated our young kiddos, our server even brought out a large tub of crayons and paper for them to draw on. Truffle seared salmon was amazing. I wish I got more!

Luv this spot. Seaweed salad, so good. Cucumber sunomo, even better. They have rolls I've never seen in my decade of sushi, and plenty of kid-friendly options. The nigiri is portioned so well, and the truffle seared salmon is one of a kind. Also, they have REAL SAKE. They have all types of cold sake, from Sayuri (AKA Little Lilly) to Wakatake (Demon Slayer.) That's a big deal, especially outside of the valley. They also have more Ramune flavors than I've ever seen anywhere. Another great feature for kiddos :-) Staff is ALWAYS amazing. Service is quick, knowledgeable, and the staff is kind. Seriously K Sushi, I heart you

Probably the best and only sushi place I've been to in Payson that I've enjoyed! Right when you walked in, you'll see the 50 States themed sushi names. Plenty of options for your cravings. My husband and I shared the tonkatsu ramen and the Wisconsin sushi. I enjoyed the sushi very much! It was also recommended by our waitress. The ramen was okay-there was too much going on in one bowl and a bit too salty for me. If you like salty, this is your jam! Staff was great and friendly. Clean tables. Quick service. I'd come back again to try more of the sushi.

Nice little spot in Payson. Be prepared to be overwhelmed with choices lol. Man they have some really fancy "50 states" rolls. Named after 50 states - as good as they looked and I would have loved to try we had to pass because they have a killer happy hour. The 50 states is excluded and they seem to range from $13-$19 a roll Happy hour you got 2 basic rolls for $14.95 total. So I picked two and my husband picked two. Y'all she brought our food and I thought she messed up our order because it was a lot of food. Looks more like 8 rolls. We got spicy tuna, spicy snapper, salmon, - all raw and one cooked one! Both of our favorite roll from our choices- the salmon skin roll! It was delicious. Try it. To finish we got a tempura fried cheesecake! It was amazing! You can not leave without trying it! I'm not even a big sweets person..... and I'm in love with this cheesecake

Sushi + Payson= you think NO WAY!! This establishment is my new favorite sushi restaurant in AZ! The tea was fresh and was refreshing. Not only are the rolls large, the meat portions are above average! We got the garlic edamame was a good start to our rolls. We got the Tennessee, West Virginia and Rhode Island. Jade was our waitress and made suggestions about the fresh wasabi, changed our entire experience with sushi into next level! Family/small town vibes with upscale sushi experience! Several people seemed to be regulars/familiar to staff. We can't wait for it to cool down so we can try the Pho and Ramen. 101/10!!!

Great food, great service (Thank You, Chris!) + peach sake! Casual ambiance so come as you are. Once you walk in, you're greeted immediately with a smile, even if there aren't any tables available at that moment. The wait, if any, is never long but they always have a steady flow of customers. The customer service here is so amazing, you'd think each employee were part owners of the restaurant! Chris remembers us, our drink orders & makes great recommendations. This is a regular joint for us. My husband loves sushi but me, not so much. Their grill menu is epic & I've never had a bad meal here, EVER! Start with the gyoza. You're welcome.

Overpriced for poor quality sushi. Freezer burnt nigiri. Hard rice. Wouldn't go back. Made me feel sick.

We ended up sitting outside, and I loved that the patio was covered and equipped with heaters, which made it cozy even with the weather acting up a bit. It was lightly sprinkling, and we did get a few drops here and there, but honestly, it didn't take away from the experience. Now let's talk about the food--absolutely delicious. The deviled eggs were generously stuffed and beautifully presented, which made them just as enjoyable to look at as they were to eat. We shared the filet mignon, served with mushroom risotto, and wow... it was completely out of this world. Perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. We paired it with the honey garlic carrots, and they were the perfect balance of sweet and savory--definitely a standout side. I also ordered a smoked blueberry sour cocktail, and it was so good--unique, refreshing, and well-crafted. Service was solid and consistent throughout the meal. Nothing over-the-top, but everything came out smoothly and as expected. Overall, this spot really delivered--from the ambiance to the flavor-packed dishes. I'd absolutely come back again.

We didn't have reservations and had already been told at 3 different places that the wait time would be well over an hour. We put our names down at a place and I kept searching on yelp for something close by. This came up -- no wait. Blood Orange Mezcalita -- perfectly balanced. Super drinkable with a smoky mezcal that I really appreciated. I ordered the Carne Adovada -- Santa Fe style smoked pork shoulder. It was absolutely delicious and a very generous portion. More than 1/2 went back to the resort with us for breakfast the next day! My son ordered a burger and holy moly was it perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. What do you expect when it's fresh ground filet mignon? Hubby ordered Salmon Mignon -- a salmon medallion cooked medium rare. Absolutely divine. So grateful that this place wasn't hopping so we could easily get a table -- but also wondering why. The food was excellent and they have a remarkable wine selection too. Very elegantly appointed restaurant-- it would do well to dress up, but we saw people in shorts and flip flops equally comfortable. So go as you wish.

I was dining solo and had no trouble finding a seat since there's plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. That said, I was surprised by how quickly the place started filling up after opening, which is always a good sign. One of the first things I noticed was the large sushi bar and being able to watch the sushi chefs at work. There were five of them, which I took as a sure sign this place gets busy. I ordered the spider roll, salmon avocado roll, and steamed edamame. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and exactly what I was hoping for. One unique thing about Kodo is their rice blend. They use a combination of black and white rice, which gives the sushi a distinctive purple color. It's not something you see every day, and it definitely makes their sushi stand out. I also have a food allergy, and the staff handled it carefully and without any issues. They offer fountain drinks, which I always prefer. And I liked their plastic to-go container. It kept my leftovers from getting soggy by next day. Easy five stars.

The cool seating with un-matching chairs and loveseats just adds to that hole in the wall vibe. SERVICE- we had awesome service from the owners husband Pete who shared with us awesome recommendations as well as his own favorite dishes. Everything he told us was 10/10! FOOD- this place serves authentic delicious Thai food!! Nothing was overly spicy but intensely flavorful, you can supplement heat with their homemade chili oil and it was delightful! We started with the chicken satay with peanut sauce, the potstickers and the crab puffs and everything was delicious! Then for main dishes we had the green curry with pork, the pad chai with chicken, the Thai fried rice with shrimp, and naked garlic added chicken. It's hard to say which was our favorite because everything was honestly 10/10! I'd have to say the stars were definitely the curry and the pad Thai, and my only disappointment was we were so full and couldn't try more! Also the drinks were delicious! I tried the Thai cha-da which was a rum spiked Thai iced tea and wasn't too sweet but perfect! I will definitely be back here to try everything else on their menu because it's definitely going to be my go-to Thai spot!!

Overall, I really enjoyed it, although the eel was probably my least favorite of the flight just personal preference. The crispy tuna rice was easily the star of the meal! Crispy, flavorful, and the textures worked so well together. I would 100% order that again. The ramen, however, was just okay for me. It wasn't bad or inedible, but the broth was lacking that rich, deep flavor I look for in a good bowl of ramen. A little more depth and seasoning would really take it to the next level. The service was honestly one of the highlights. Our waiter was super friendly, cool, and attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses.
