The restaurant wasn't even busy, so there really wasn't a reason for the service to feel so rushed and unwelcoming. Honestly, it just seemed like the employees weren't happy to be there. It's disappointing because the food, prices, and atmosphere have so much going for them. With better customer service and employees who seem happy to be there, this place could be amazing! I asked how we were supposed to eat mashed potatoes and gravy without utensils, and she shrugged and said, "Ma'am, we are a bar, we do not have it." I responded that I've ordered takeout from many bars before and they always provide plastic utensils. She then sarcastically replied, "Good for you, have a nice day." I tried speaking with who I believed was the manager (he nodded when I asked if he was), and while I was explaining the issue, the young employee continued interrupting and talking over me. Another waitress overheard the conversation and quickly returned with plastic utensils, proving they did in fact have them available. The employee then changed her story, saying she "didn't know" if they had utensils and claimed she was super sweet to me(not rude). There is no reason an employee should be speaking to customers this way. She clearly needs additional customer service training before handling customer interactions on her own.

No gloves and no washing hands between. The employee also likes to hand you your soda cup buy inserting her hand in the inside of the cup, right after mopping. There are other food code. Violations clearly visible but am leaving it up to the state inspector to do his job. The employee seemed fine touching cups on the inside, food and food trays and cleaning supplies simultaneously with no care. I am sure her food handlers card is up to date.
