This place had great food and an amazing ambiance. Definitely great for a date night / girls night.

3.5 stars but rounding up! Restaurant was beautiful inside, just as pictured, and clean which is wonderful. The food was pretty good. Some dishes were better than others. My scallops were cooked perfectly and I appreciated that they allowed me to sub risotto for mashed potatoes. My mom had the special surf and turf. That was pretty good as well though some of the sauce on the steak was a bit too salty. Portions are small and a bit overpriced. There was a special goat cheese salad we ordered and it looked like a side for $21 don't think that was justified given the salads contents but it did taste delicious! We also had the wings as an appetizer. Super tiny and just ok. Also over priced. Though the entrees were fairly priced. My sister enjoyed her burger and fries but she said it lacked flavor on the burger. And my dad's chicken was bland. Would definitely skip that one. The Brussels sprouts may have been my favorite dish. Not overly sweet and perfectly crispy. Overall, the waiter was accommodating and nice. I do recommend visiting for some great photos. read more

Subject: Deep Concern Over Discriminatory Treatment and ADA Noncompliance I am writing to express my deep disappointment and outrage following my recent experience with Bloom Botanical Bistro. My friend Alex and I had been looking forward to reconnecting over a late lunch before heading to Eddie's Sweet Shop for dessert. Wanting to ensure everything would go smoothly, I called ahead to confirm our plans and stated that I would be bringing my service dog, Buddy. I made it very clear that Buddy is my service dog, complete with his official vest. Yet, without a single question or attempt to understand my situation, the person answering the phone curtly informed me that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. The dismissive tone, capped off with a sarcastic "good luck," left me feeling not just unwelcome but deeply hurt and demeaned as a customer and as a person with a disability. This experience was not only upsetting but also against federal law. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), restaurants and other public businesses are required to allow service animals to accompany individuals with disabilities in all areas open to the public. Staff may only ask two questions: Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? They cannot deny entry to a service dog or treat a customer disrespectfully for having one. As someone who relies on Buddy for legitimate reasons, this encounter left me feeling humiliated, excluded, and disgusted. I truly hope Bloom Botanical Bistro takes immediate steps to train its staff on ADA compliance and how to respectfully interact with guests who have service animals. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who values inclusion, respect, or accessibility. read more

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Bloom before heading to a show at Forest Hills. The food and service were excellent, but what truly impressed us was the diverse menu--there was something for everyone. If you love steaks or burgers, you'll find great options. Seafood lovers have excellent choices, and vegetarians, vegans, and those who are gluten-free are all well catered for. Our group of four ordered across all these categories, and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Afterward, at the Forest Hills arena, we discovered that Bloom's owners operate a stand called Nick's Bistro. The food there is just as good--I especially recommend the spring rolls. I booked this place to hang with a friend for their unique menu. They have a Beet Wellington that I wanted to try. Made a reservation and there happened to be a large party in the center of the restaurant. The wait staff was a little busy and it took a little while for anyone to come. When we got Thais, she was a welcomed surprise. Her sweetness and easy personality was perfect for us. She took really good care of us from that point on. Looks like she was helping behind the bar and taking care of us simultaneously. She made great suggestions that we enjoyed. The veggies chips to start followed by the short ribs. I was more happily surprised when it came with Brussels sprouts!! We decided not to drink too much but enjoyed a Paloma drink and a an espresso martini. When the DJ started up that's when the fun really began! The large group got up to dance to 90's music. The DJ knew his music well and also danced with some of the diners. Came here for Valentine's Day dinner with my boyfriend. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a cozy atmosphere, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the service timing was a big issue. We waited over an hour and 30 minutes for our food. The chicken pot pie was disappointing, and the salmon was overcooked. The shrimp appetizer was actually really good, but it didn't come out until after we had already finished our main dishes. Other tables around us seemed to be waiting just as long, if not longer. It seems like they need to improve how they manage higher-volume service. read more

This place was cool. We went here for brunch, nice variety. Lots of choices and they all looked cool. The wait was pretty long, but that's okay because I got a chance to level up my Pokémon (even though my Rattata fainted once RIP) Food was fire though. I got the pancakes, they were super duper sweet (not too sweet), and I also got the bacon. I'm not really a bacon guy but this was probably some of the best bacon I've had. Very nice no complaints. It was one of my party members' birthday, so they brought out this huge sparkler and sang happy birthday. The guy also wished her birthdays for many, MANY more (nice touch) and it was perfectly timed to end when the sparkler went out, that was cool. Overall, the food was really really good and the place looked nice. The only cons were the long wait (the place was busy so it's understandable) and the fact that it's not The Other Place (no 8-ball..) I never really leave reviews but I had to leave one from my visit yesterday, 3/29! I ordered the Bloom Burger and fries with a Blueberry Basil Lemonade. Not only was the food beautiful when it came out, but it was absolutely DELICIOUS! The presentation of everything we ordered was so thought through, down to the green straw that made you think of a flower stem. There had been a small hiccup in my order and the staff was so sweet and proactive in finding a remedy. A big shout out to our waitstaff, especially Patricia -- so kind and bubbly and her presence alone made us want to come back. The owner also stopped by to make sure everything was going well, and his flower hat and eccentric personality were a great way to top off the evening. Awful Mother's Day experience! Went with my family of 4 ,started perfectly fine. Appetizer came out with barely enough chips for guacamole, asked for extras and was told it would be an extra charge. what ???? Then it went downhill from there. Food was eh! Celebrated my daughter's 30th birthday here on Saturday. That place is really pretty. The music was not too loud so we could hold a conversation. A few of us got there early to decorate and everything was already all set up just like I discussed with Jason and Tom the manager. Staff was understanding when I asked if we could move the table a little to fit the balloon arch. Our waitress Nicolette was the best. She was so nice and on top of everything. Thank you so much Nicolette, if you see this. Tom came in and sang happy birthday to my daughter which she loved. My guests all seemed to have a nice time. The place is nice, the service/wait staff/hostess are all good-- but the food is shockingly disappointing. I had high hopes because the menu read well and seemed it would be very vegetarian-centric, like, farm to table, attention to fresh vegetables, flavor.... No. Portions were also small for the price. I ordered ratatouille that was bland and lacked texture or freshness-- like the progresso version of ratatouille. Calamari salad was celery, shredded romaine and breadcrumbs with barely any calamari and what was there was chewy and again flavorless. Even the dressing was lacking. Chicken lollipops were the best of the 3 things ordered, but $15 for 5 roughly tater tot sized chunks of chicken. For drinks and "instagramable photo ops" this place will hit the mark, but for food you'd probably do better elsewhere. read more

The service was wonderful and the food was even better - I asked my waitress for a drink recommendation (because I like sweet drinks that don't taste like alcohol) and she absolutely delivered. The veggie burgers are made in-house and so juicy and the fries are ‍ if you're a potato girlie like me they're 9/10 's, just so thick and crispy, maximum potato. The restaurant is cute with some flower walls, neon lights, and an underlying industrial botanical feel. It's a nice place for group dinners and dates and was very clean. read more

The appetizers and drinks were very good! The veggie burger was ok, it was red almost like a raw burger so it was a tiny bit off putting and the flavor and texture were different. The fries were really good! My husband had the spicy pasta and it was ok too. The Mac and cheese was really good though! The brussel sprouts were phenomenal. I would go back for appetizers and sides because they got those right!! Service was fine. They were nice. It was a nice little place with little lights. Good for dates. Desserts were ok. I had the pannacotta the texture was not as creamy and smooth as typical pannacotta. But the flavor was good. My husband had the bananas foster. This is a nice quiet bistro in the heart of Kew Gardens. The ambience of Manhattan without the drive or the traffic. The place is well decorated and feels like a garden. The food was fresh and tasty. 3.5 stars i was really sad about this one - ambiance was gorgeous, vibes were immaculate, service was quick and constant. but the entree food was just okay - the crème brûlée was delicious & just one drink got me tipsy, but the lobster pappardelle was not great. the pasta was great but the lobster did not feel fresh. it smelled so fishy and i could not finish it. i felt so bad leaving a lot of lobster but it was giving me a stomach ache. otherwise, though, the place was lovely and other dishes are probably a lot better. just sad because i paid so much for it. the food is the main thing at any restaurant so that's why i have to rate this place lower than i wanted :( read more

Oh my, what a very Instagrammable place. They have a backdrop and ring light specifically for people to take pretty pictures. They really don't need these extra things to attract diners though. The food is already amazing. The fruity nonalcoholic drinks were very refreshing and made me feel like I was on vacation instead of the staycation I was actually on. Everything was so well done: Waygu meatballs atop little beds of slaw, tuna tartare that came with so many fixings it felt like a descontructed poke bowl, Kung Pao calamari that actually didn't make me miss regular fried calamari. The Lobster Pappardelle had big juicy pieces of lobster resting on creamy ribbons of pasta. And aside from not having an actual filet mignon, the beet Wellington had the perfect puff pastry and flavors of beef Wellington. I celebrated my birthday over the weekend at bloom for a girls brunch and it was perfect. Every detail was met and surpassed. There are so many beautiful spots at the restaurants for lovely pictures. Even the bathroom is photo worthy. But let's talk about the food. The portions are so filling and everything was delicious. The mocktails are also amazing and so refreshing. Came here for a light dinner with my family (including 4 year old daughter). The concept is nice, having some flowers and plants definitely differentiates from typical dinner bars: a bit brighter than the dark dinner bars, also the open atmosphere gives you a bit more breathing room over a stuff experience, was nice and fresh even while we were seated in the back. Food was pretty good, but a little bit of everything. As diverse as the menu could be, I didn't sense a signature dish or something integrated with the blossom theme. Would have been better integrated if some menu items representing flowers to go with the name. I'd come here for a fun and light dinner with friends as it is a better choice than most restaurants in the area, but branding can be a bit better in the food. read more

There were also places designed for pictures and they even had a ringlight for people who took photos. The food was also great, but I have to say that even though we order a pretty large amount, I couldn't get full. The place is absolutely beautiful and clean and our server Patricia was amazing and delightful but unfortunately we didn't enjoy any of our food. The spicy vodka rigatoni was bland, unseasoned, NOT actually rigatoni, and I believe it was marinara sauce and not vodka. I'm not sure if they gave me the vegan version by accident but I will upload a picture of my leftovers. The mac and cheese was also bland and unseasoned.
