They have a smoker which is a plus. customers place their order at the main counter then take a seat in the dining room. Everyone is assigned a number so they know where to deliver the food when it was ready. I thought the prices were high as it was thirty dollars for a pulled pork sandwich and 3 jalapeño poppers. The jalapeños were stuffed and wrapped in bacon. I thought it was high but part of it has to do with the type of food. The menu was limited. For the most part, it was just had different combinations of brisket and pulled pork. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich which was stacked high with pulled pork on a sesame bun. I had the Cole slaw on the side. It was delicious. I always get the barbecue sauce on the side so I can enjoy the meat. I would return. I enjoy smoke houses.

First I want to say I grew up with Memphis bbq and this is not that. That said it was good. They use Carolina bbq sauce and rubs. Service was very fast and everyone was very polite. Nothing fancy inside. Clean. Seat yourself inside or outside. The bench's around the room are pretty high and there's no cushions. We got the meat platter which has a little bit of everything. It had beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, 2 huge sausages and pork ribs and pickled cucumbers and onions. We also ordered the Mac and cheese, corn bread, wings and a turkey sandwich. The pulled pork was good. If I had some sweet bbq sauce to put on it it would've have been to die for. Wings tasted fine but have a lot of rub on them. The turkey sandwich was sloppy but good. It has cranberry mayo, lettuce and cucumbers on it. Turkey was a bit dry. The brisket was very good. Corn bread was crumbly had a nice butter with it. Lemonade was yummy and tart and the sweet tea was good. They have Carolina sauce and a honey mustard sauce you can put on.

Tried Blondies BBQ Walpole (former Red Wing) tonight. Brisket, pulled pork, turkey and the sauces were good. Sides were just ok. Placing it with Commonwealth in 2nd tier for local BBQ. Good food tho and would come back. A grade MA BBQ -Sweet cheeks fenway -Chubbs attleboro -Blue ribbon B grade -Blondies -Commonwealth

They've been open for almost a year and I'm sure they're here to stay. Service was great. Food was even better! The ribs were fantastic, meaty and fall off the bone. Corn bread was also superb, moist and just sweet enough with a flaky sea salt crust. The brisket was also cooked well, and not too salty: we just had a lot of fat on our portion. Great place right off route 1 and next to Gillette.

First time here, brisket is outstanding, with a selection of barbecue sauce. Collard greens as a side equally excellent with a little bite. Blondies beer as a chaser excellent with the brisket, made by castle island. Staff was great, food came out fast, highly recommend, 5

I think people are sleeping on this place , my buddy and I arrived around 6:30 pm and there were only 8 people in the dining room....we know good bbq because of our trips to Austin , Lockhart Texas....This is one of the best BBQ spots in MA...right with the Rusty Can in Byfield. The young lady that greeted us was very pleasant ...going over the menu and the process...she frequently walked around the dining area checking in on the guests and their needs. We got the meat platter with 3 sides The Ribs were fantastic, juicy and tender....we also thought the Turkey , Sausage, were outstanding ...the pulled pork and brisket was good not outstanding ...I like it more fatty so it may be me...the sides Cole Slaw, beans, were good ....make sure you get the corn bread with the honey butter....we will be back for sure.

I've been driving past this location for months now and was excited to see the location finally open today. Hours currently are 3pm to 9pm Wednesday through Sunday and there is plenty of parking. Being their opening day, there is bound to be some rough edges but that just means there's ample room for improvement! I carried out so my dining environment (my car) may not have been the best but I didn't want to wait until I got home before diving in. Interior decor is great and the overall vibe of this place is very chill. Here are the items I tried out (as of 5/2025): - Prime Beef Brisket (1/2lb) - $17 - For Massachusetts it's definitely above average. It was tender and had a good ratio of fat to lean meat. However, I do wish the bark had more smoke flavor to it (this will be a running theme). - Pork Spare Ribs (1/2lb) - $16 - Very tender and tastes pretty great, however, I wish there was more smoke flavor imparted in the meat. - House sausage (1/2lb) - $8 - Good flavor. Firm chew to it which I enjoyed. Again, I wished there was a more smokey flavor! - Cole Slaw (sm) - $5 - Refreshing and crisp. Not too heavily dressed. Vinegar dressing could be a tad more prominent. - Shells and Cheese (sm) - $5 - Nice creaminess to the sauce. Shells were perfectly cooked. Not too heavy. - Brown Butter Cornbread - $4 - Nice chunk of cornbread. Great flavor and something I would order again. Not too dense and I really taste the brown butter! - Banana Pudding - $6 - Toasted coconut adds a nice crunchy texture to the dessert. Not too sweet which I'm thankful for as I'm not a fan of overly sweet banana pudding. Unfortunately the vanilla wafer lost it's crunch by the time I got to it. Overall I am quite pleased with the offerings here. If they can impart more smoke into the meat I think it will help tremendously in scratching that Texas BBQ itch. Massachusetts is in desperate need for good Texas BBQ and I have high hopes for Blondies as they certainly have the equipment to make it happen. I'm hoping that they'll off burnt ends and beef ribs in the future! I'll definitely be back to try their sandwiches and other offerings!

Great service, and they were really friendly. Unfortunately, the food was only okay. I would say, good, not great. Except for the sausage, which was not good. I also had the banana pudding, not pictured, but the wafers were stale. We did go the day of a snow storm though, so low turn over and probably not their best work. We will go back again to try again.

After months of driving by the slow march of renovations - and, I'll admit, the occasional bout of social media stalking--I can confirm that Blondie's Barbecue has officially opened its doors. And yes, it was absolutely worth the anticipation. What stood out before they even served a single rib was the sense that something thoughtful was happening behind the scenes. The team at Blondie's seemed to be quietly tinkering and perfecting while construction dragged on--always a promising sign in a region where barbecue can often feel like an afterthought. The layout is simple but functional. You walk into a narrow entry where you'll place your order (including drinks, if you're so inclined), receive a wooden token bearing your table number, and then head into a spacious dining area. There's a self-serve water station - a small but welcome touch, especially considering barbecue's sodium-forward nature. Prices are fair, especially given today's meat market realities. Cocktails ring in at $14, and meat is sold by the half-pound. On our visit, we opted for pulled pork, brisket, and spare ribs. The pulled pork was the standout--tender, smoky, and deeply flavorful. The brisket held its own, with a solid bark and decent moisture. The ribs, while well-seasoned, were slightly undercooked--not quite the fall-off-the-bone experience many might hope for. They do use spare ribs rather than baby backs, so your mileage may vary. The shell and cheese was rich without being overbearing, and the pimento cheese dip was comfortingly nostalgic. The campfire beans were fine, but not memorable enough to revisit. I did appreciate that sides come in two sizes, encouraging diners to sample more without overcommitting. Cocktails, served in whimsical little flasks (plastic, alas), were both cleverly crafted and pleasantly strong--offering enough novelty without veering into gimmick. Real utensils were a welcome surprise, though offset somewhat by the unfortunate paper plates. One tore halfway through my meal, launching brisket and sauce across the table. A sturdier vessel would go a long way toward elevating the overall experience. There is a dessert menu, though we, like so many barbecue rookies before us, over-ordered and couldn't even entertain the idea of sweets by the end. The staff, for their part, are warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they serve. Blondie's may still be settling into its stride, but it's already a strong--and sorely needed--addition to the local food scene. I'll be back, and next time, I'm saving room for dessert.

Two Texas twinkies, greens, brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, coleslaw.

The staff, managers, server all were very nice and accommodating. Food came out fast and hot. Also had a very nice conversation with the couple next to us, who had wisdom and knowledge of some history which we could relate to. We ordered the following: - Fritto misto 3/5 for me. The garlic/lemon aioli that was loaded on the bottom of the dish was great just allows u to smear and dip everything into the plate instead of a small dip dish everyone has to share. The calamari and shrimp portion is a nice appetizer size. Crispy yes, but our portion was a bit overcooked. - spaghetti Al limone - perfectly cooked, nice chew and portion. You get 4 jumbo shrimps on the pasta plate. The lemon zest sauce was tasty! Enjoyed this! 5/5 - fennel sausage pizza 5/5 I really enjoy the way they make the pizza, crispy, good bites, fresh and served on the plate with a pair of pizza scissors so you can make your own "slices" loaded with toppings. It was a good thin style. Ample bits of fennel sausage, peppers onions and scallion fresh on top. - limoncello mascarpone cake 5/5 This was a great cap to the meal. Light, the mascarpone was refreshing, the cake was not heavy and the lemon flavor came thru like a champ! Not overly sweet which is a plus for us. Much bigger than what we were expecting, based on photos we looked at. We started off with the fritto misto, which included fried calamari, shrimp, & fried lemon with a lemon aioli to dip. The lemon aioli was spread all over the bottom of the dish instead of in a ramekin. We actually prefer it this way! Loved the lemon aioli and fried lemons. Calamari was not bad; slightly overcooked. On to our entrees! Their pizza is thin & very similar to a flatbread. We enjoyed this a lot! Great flavor and loved that we got to cut it ourselves. Came with a good amount of toppings. The spaghetti was made al dente & came with a creamy lime sauce. You can definitely taste the lime here! This came with 4 big shrimps. We were able to finish everything we ordered at this point... so we decided to get some dessert! We ordered the limoncello mascarpone cake to try & it was delicious!
