Grand Opening 9/26/26!
Phil C.

Welcome to the neighborhood! I got to check out the soft-opening week at this new Blk Dot location. I've been to many Blk Dot shops, so I'm happy this one is closer to home. I enjoyed many of their drink and food offerings and have bought bags of beans in the past. This new location used to be a Weinerschnitzel, and you can tell by the building's shape. The interior has been completely renovated with a spacious, modern style. The interior has a few tables, and there's an outdoor patio with umbrellas. They also have plenty of merchandise for purchase. For added convenience, they offer drive-thru and mobile ordering through their website. They are known for their Vietnamese coffees (which I also enjoy), but I came in for one of my usual drinks, a sea salt foam cold brew. I also ordered a Parisian Sandwich. I love the bread that they use. It tasted fresh, with a crispy crust and a soft inside. All the ingredients were delicious. The staff here are kind, and I saw many of them working hard in the back. It was pretty busy for soft opening week. The orders were being made promptly. Can't wait for another visit!

New location: unlocked! This location has a drive-thru, which is pretty convenient. Love the design and modernness inside/for their seating outside. Lots of parking, as well. Soft opening today: 9/16/26 and they have specials going on! Service is wonderful-- even with a lot of people in line, it went by fast. My drinks were also made ready within 5 minutes, which shows how seamless their soft opening is going. I also really like the energy of the baristas-- very friendly and welcoming. As for my drinks, I got the tiramisu einspanner, yuzu mango matcha, and dulce VTM. No notes missed on any. Their standards are aligned with their other shops. Flavorful coffee and matcha that doesn't miss. The perfect amount of sweetness that balances out both the coffee and matcha, no type of overpowering going on. I will definitely frequent this place much more. Thanks Blk Dot for opening this location!

Went to their soft opening today, where all drinks were half off! The store is nice and spacious, with plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. There's also a big parking lot, which is convenient. The staff was nice and friendly. There was a line when we arrived, but it moved pretty quickly, and we got our drinks fairly fast. They also have bathrooms, and they were clean. Overall, it was a great experience. I'll definitely be back!

Me: okay, I'll have the pumpkin spice latte, hot. It came out 10 minutes after our desserts did, iced. oh well. #FirstWorldProblems 1: Dulce de leche (4/5) decent taste but presentation in the shape of a heart was nice 2: Oreo (3/5) - I ordered this one and it wasn't very Oreo-tasting at all, to my chagrin. 3: strawberry mousse (5/5) best one, tasted like strawberry. 4: mango mousse (4/5) had actual chunks of what seemed like pineapple because it was tart. Not bad but not what I was in the mood for.

I've tried their matcha which was only okay for me but love their butterfly wintermelon and hokkaido milk tea. Service is always nice. Upon walking in, we were immediately told that the ordering kiosk wasn't working, so we waited in line. Not a big deal. The kiosk had a note on it that says they don't have the purple signature, ube matcha, or peptides. When I tried to order, I was told they don't have the rising Phoenix. The worker also thought they didn't have the Hokkaido milk tea. The number of things they were out of was frustrating, but we managed to find something to order then we waited off to the side. Inside is very small; there is one table (or two small tables that were pushed together) and a couple seats at a counter. The back hallway is blocked off with a sign saying they do not have public restrooms. The Okinawa milk tea (plus boba) was fine. Boba was very soft with almost no chew, and the drink was perfectly sweetened with a bit of a nutty flavor. It was nice and needed no adjustments. The passionfruit milk tea was VERY passionfruit forward and had a great tropical flavor. The boba didn't add much to this, and it is probably better with a different add on. The drinks were fine and staff were friendly, but this place was a bit further from home and they were out of so many things I'm not sure we would make the trip to come here. I like to support a small business though. Just frustrating when they have either run out or stopped selling so many things.

I have a confession... I'm officially addicted…read more Da Vien has become my favorite coffee treat, and anytime I'm near one of their locations, the craving takes over. Their signature coffee is just ridiculous...in the best possible way. Creamy, perfectly balanced, topped with cinnamon, and thick enough to feel indulgent without being over the top. It's basically drinkable art. I've seen the internet rumor that it has zero calories. I'm choosing to believe that rumor... and I don't want anyone to ruin it for me. The staff at the drive-thru has always been friendly, the drinks come out quickly, and they're consistently excellent. That's harder to find than people think. Part of me wishes they'd open a location in Huntington Beach. The smarter part of me knows that's probably a terrible idea because I'd be there way too often. If you love coffee and haven't tried Da Vien yet, you're missing out. Just don't blame me if it becomes your new addiction too.

Almost every time, I have to ask them to slow down so I can properly understand and to respond. I'd like to consider myself quite fluent in auditory comprehension, considering I'm also in the customer service business, but I can't imagine for others who might struggle with English. Please keep in mind that customers are hearing you through an intercom/speaker, so voices can already sound slightly muffled. There really shouldn't be such a rush when you're the frontline representing the company. On top of that, the customer service has been lacking. There is very little effort to explain the drinks or different sweetness levels, and even basic customer service etiquette, such as greeting customers and thanking them, seems to be missing. Granted yes, you have an automated greeting message once we approach the drive-thru, thus lacking intimacy. I used to come here multiple times throughout the week because my office is literally right across the street, but lately I've found myself wanting to stop coming altogether. I started going to Buzz Coffee down the other end of the street instead, and I can confidently say that both their customer service and products have been substantially better. It's disappointing because Da Vien has become such a familiar and well-loved name within the Vietnamese community. I genuinely want to continue supporting the business, but the overall quality of the experience seems to be declining over issues that could easily be improved with better training, communication, and basic attention to customer service.

I was curious about the cherry matcha because I had never tried that combination before, and I really enjoyed it. The matcha doesn't seem to be the greatest quality based off of the color and graininess but overall it was decent and I really liked the flavor combo. My husband had the sweet corn vienna which was also a great option, and I liked that the sweet corn flavor came through nicely. Edit: I have had enough matcha in my life and I know that a matcha latte should not be showing any speckles of matcha floating in the milk. Even if it's a "tier 1" quality, it doesn't mean anything if it's not prepared properly.

This cafe knows their core drinks are winners and doesn't rely on full-menu revamps every season to keep customers coming back. As you can see, I am a repeat customer of their Matcha on matcha, but each of the other drinks have been delicious as well. The Orange tonic is on the sweeter side, but you can still taste the bitterness from the coffee and super fizzy tonic water. They put the freshest puree in the strawberry matcha with a natural-tasting sweetness. The goth latte is a must try that you can't find anywhere else. Arc both sells and uses Rocky's matcha in their drinks; a matcha which tastes nutty and roasty. Despite the batch mixing, the matcha is never clumpy or lacking in flavor. The inside is super minimal, yet approachable. While customers constantly rotate through the small space, there is never a long wait and I usually find a seat. The parking lot is small and can get tight during busy hours. Overall, Arc is a great spot for a consistently delicious dose of caffeine.
