We used Blitz Moving Services for an apartment-to-apartment move in the Atlanta area in December 2022. We went with Blitz due to their competitive rates and availability. James dropped by to survey the apartment and provide an estimate. On the day of the move, the movers were well-prepared and arrived with a short ramp to expedite the process of moving items from the exit door to the truck. They were not the fastest, but they are meticulous with handling boxes and and wrapping furniture. They were responsive at all points of the move. I would use them again for another move. read more

I've used these guys a couple more times and have always been so pleased with their professionalism, yet friendly and easy to work with. The last time we used them in January - we had to reschedule a couple of times b/c of elevator and weather issues, James was incredibly patient and accomodating with us. These guys are still awesome - they got us moved quickly and without any damage. When it came time to move part of our sectional into our new place, the front doorway was at a crazy small angle and it wouldn't work, so these guys took it downstairs, around the side of the building and hoisted it up to our balcony with ropes - no damage to the sectional, no damage to the balcony - no damage to any people! I am really really hoping to not move again for quite some time, but if I do - these guys will be there! read more

All I can say is, "WOW". I literally called them yesterday and needed very-last-minute help moving furniture out of a friend's basement this morning. James and his guys showed up exactly on time, were totally professional, and charged me the same amount I was quoted (which was HALF of what every other company quoted me). They got done in 3 hours just like they said they would, nothing was damaged. I needed the furniture dropped off in 2 different locations, both which were tricky to get in and out of (small apartment complexes), but they were able to handle the job without any issues. It was even pouring rain, and they worked hard throughout. This is the first time I've ever hired a moving company. I had no idea what I was missing... Next time I move, I'm calling these guys. Next time any of my friends move, I'm telling them to call these guys. Amazing, THANK YOU!!! read more

James and his team moved me quickly and efficiently on only a day's notice. They we're positive, professional and after shopping several of the highest rated moving services on yelp, their rates we're the most reasonable. James even (under) charged me for the 2 hour minimum we had previously discussed even though it went well over due to unforeseen parking issues outside of anyone's control. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. read more

I used Blitz on the recommendation of a friend. They were fantastic! They showed up earlier than scheduled, handled my furniture with care, and worked carefully and quickly to get my stuff moved. Their prices were also far better than I was quoted by any other mover. I highly recommend them. read more

If you're looking for a mover - look no further! Blitz is EXCELLENT! Professional, Efficient, Polite and On time are just a few of the words that described my experience with James and his crew. I would definitely recommend Blitz for your moving services. Not only was he on time, but James and his crew were 5 minutes early! James introduced himself and his crew and they immediately got to work. Everyone worked fast and quick to ensure that I was not charged for time that was wasted. I had a prior horrible experience with movers and Blitz moving was a breath of fresh air! James and his men take pride in their work and have integrity that is evidenced immediately upon arrival. I would definitely recommend Blitz moving service to my friends and plan on using them for any of my moving needs. read more

I contacted Blitz for a moving quote for a few pieces of furniture, moved less than a mile. James responded with a one-line e-mail stating that their price is $105 per hour. I gather from other reviews that there are more details to the contract, such as a minimum amount of time, but none of those were ever mentioned to me. I asked James if he could move a very heavy armoire with only 2 movers. He assured me that he could, but he agreed to come see it to be sure. While I was offering to meet him anytime to see the armoire, and within 24 hours of him agreeing to see the armoire, he notified me that he had suddenly become booked and could not move me. This was after at least 16 e-mails attempting to accommodate his schedule, and after almost every other mover in the city was booked. I offered a one-week timeframe for the move without any significant restrictions for the date or time. I needed to move fewer than 9 relatively small items for less than a mile. After leading me to believe they would accommodate my needs, James and Blitz suddenly refused to follow through with the move. In my sincerest opinion, Blitz Moving lacks all professionalism; if you doubt me, send them an e-mail and see what you get back -- no class. E-mail B&B movers instead. They saved me after James left me high and dry. read more

I used Blitz about a year ago and had a good experience with James and his associate when they moved my belongings from a storage unit into an apartment. I attempted to utilize their services again for a move from Atlanta to Memphis since I'd had a positive experience with them previously. I contacted Blitz approx one month in advance to schedule them for my relocation, but this time, I was dismayed and disgusted when I received an email from James less than 12 hours before he was scheduled to come pick up my belongings informing me that "We are going to have to postpone this load to Memphis for this weekend because of several factors... this weekend has turned out not to be suitable". Of course I was left in a bind and had to scramble to find a replacement that would be able to help me move out on very short notice. I know there are a lot of good reviews here but I certainly wouldn't risk being ditched last minute because a mover decides he doesn't feel like doing the job anymore, or doesn't want to go to the trouble, or finds a more profitable or easier job to take the place of mine. read more

The 3 guy team that moved us into our apartment was amazing. Was at the site early and came ready with dollies, blankets, and tape. Got our 26' truck unloaded into our apartment in less than 2 hours. Took the time to load our furniture nicely without leaving any scratches. Very professional - will definitely hire again and recommend to friends. read more

I hired Blitz Movers because my daughter was moving into her own place and only wanted to take her bedroom- and was only moving across the way from me. I contacted Blitz one time. He told me they would arrive at 8:30 and was here at 8:35 (WOW, WHAT!!!) The owner was with the movers and they moved quick, they wrapped and covered EVERYTHING....They were professional and the best moving experience I have ever had in my many times of moving. I chose them because of all their good reviews and I am so glad I did. I felt totally comfortable with them and Mr. James was the most professional and direct person to work with. My next move will definitely be with Blitz!!!!!!! read more

I just experienced a miracle. A stress free move compliments of Blitz Moving. The crew was extremely professional and took excellent care of all my items. I have used other moving services in the past and as a result I have moved myself for the last two. On a recommendation I checked out Blitz and I am extremely satisfied to say the least. If you are moving I recommend that you check out Blitz. read more

I just got a phone call from a good friend whom Blitz moved this morning. One of the movers slipped and fell during the course of the move and busted his head open, requiring 7 stitches. His lament to her: "If only it would stop bleeding, I could keep working!" Yes, this man is so dedicated to providing a fast and excellent service that he was more concerned with her move than with the blood gushing out of his head. And Blitz actually gave her a pretty steep discount for the inconvenience of his injury. That's dedication. read more

I moved to ATL from New York earlier this month and contacted James at Blitz to get a small crew to unload our moving truck and bring our stuff up to our third-floor apartment. James provided a reasonable rate and reserved two movers for me. However, up in NY things ended up being a nightmare and we were more than a day late leaving--I called James worried, and got nothing but reassurance that everything was fine, and he gladly moved our appointment at the last minute and was even able to add two more guys at my request! When we finally made it down to Atlanta James and his team showed up with all the necessary equipment and quickly moved our stuff in, adding additional packing material where needed to ensure nothing was scratched or dented. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone requiring moving services in the Atlanta area! read more

These guys are great...and that's the bottom line. My girlfriend had a bad situation requiring a moving service to come the next day, which happened to be a Sunday. Blitz, headed by James and helped by his crew, were easy to communicate with, cheaper than what we had expected for *three* guys and a huge truck, and *extremely* professional. These are honest, kind men that carry out their business with noticeable integrity. We asked them to come early which they appreciated (avoiding the heat) and the whole ordeal took hours less than what my girlfriend had expected from past moves. They appreciated our tip and our help. They also took great direction in caring for expensive items. Master truck-packers, handy and hard workers all, I recommend Blitz to you Atlanta. read more

Sooooo James and his team are awesome. I found Blitz through yelping and the common theme was 'good and reasonable prices for movers,' so I decided to give James a call. Super nice southern guy, gave me the set price per hour and I told him the time and day. He was at my house at 8:30am sharp and got it all done in 3 hours! Who doesn't like to be all moved before noon? Load off of my shoulders. Will definitely use him again. read more

Blitz Moving Services was awesome. Period. James was extremely responsive regarding our move across town in Atlanta and very upfront with his pricing per hour, which was the MOST REASONABLE we could find after calling multiple places to get quotes. We communicated with him multiple times before the move via email and he was always quick to reply. He said he and his team (4 people total) would show up at 8:30am on the day of the move...and they actually showed up 15 minutes early, which was super wonderful for people anxious to get going. The 4-person crew wrapped each piece of furniture in blankets, bubble wrap, and tape and then moved everything down 2 flights of stairs without a word of complaint, packed it into the truck and then moved everything into our new place in a crazy fast fashion. Definitely took the time to wrap everything up really well and thus no scratches but they were extremely efficient and thus avoided overcharges based on time. BLITZ IS AWESOME. Highly recommend. James himself was the leader of the group, and really is a great businessman. Walked through our new place after the move and made sure the bathroom they had used was clean and that every last piece of moving tape had been picked up. As others stated, never want to look forward to a move, but when it happens, would definitely use again and would highly recommend Blitz to friends and family. read more

These guys did such a fantastic job moving me today! They were FAST packing up my stuff and unloading in my new maze of an apartment building. Nothing was damaged and they were extremely professional. Definitely using them next time I move! read more

Country Boys that are very friendly and professional.... That sums up the movers I had from Blitz. I was doing 50 millions things on the move day and I was late. They were kind enough to wait and they actually told me not to rush and be careful. They were very fast and efficient. I would definitely used them again. Moving can be so stressful but its nice when have people to make it easier for you... and they did just that. Thank you Blitz. You guys are awesome. read more

I had the unusual situation of moving from one building to another in the same community, including a full assembled pool table from garage to garage. James scheduled a time to come by and see all that required attention (something most moving companies would not bother to do). He gave me a flat rate for 3 guys + himself and we arranged the date/time. James and his team showed up promptly at 8:30 as promised, and immediately got to work. these guys were more than efficient, and took great care of all my property. I don't like moving, but Blitz made the move a lot easier. I highly recommend. read more

I have used James and his crew twice now in two years and both experiences have been perfect. Solid unpacking/packing, friendly, flexible, always on-time and competitive pricing. It is a business that you enjoy supporting and I will certainly be using them again. It's always tough to find reliable companies to use for most services nowadays, so when you find them, it's a pleasant surprise. In summary: Highly recommended! read more

James and Miguel did a wonderful job loading up our truck today. They arrived on time and loaded the truck beautifully! They even stayed a little late to help us with the trailer on our rental truck - these guys are highly recommended! read more

I recently moved from Philadelphia to Atlanta and hired Blitz to unpack my moving truck. Getting a quote and setting up the appt was easy with James, keeping me calm and even suggesting I wait a day to unload the truck because the move will be stressful and exhausting -- which is was! James and his crew arrived on time and finished on time - nothing arrived to my 4th floor apartment broken or damaged. Thanks Blitz for making this move easy and comfortable. read more

James and his crew went above and beyond for me and my move to my new home. Before even meeting him, he picked up my mattress from the store I purchased it from, and then went to another location to pick up my washer/dryer. Mind you, I was out of town for 4 days, still hadn't met him face to face, and he was consistently reliable. I had a gut instinct to trust him, from the moment I explained my situation. Once I returned from my vacation, the next day, James and his crew arrived to perform the move. If I ever move again, I'm calling Blitz! I highly recommend him. read more

Blitz arrived early! They wrapped every piece of furniture carefully... they were super efficient, friendly and organized. I felt like my stuff was in great hands! Recommend fully!! read more

James and his crew were excellent from start to finish. There was constant communication between us about wrapping certain items, what was extremely fragile, furniture placement in the new place, etc. Everything happened exactly the way it should have, on time and on budget. Out of hundreds of items, ONE ended up broken, based on MY poor packing of it in the box. That's pretty good statistics. 99.99% This is the way to run a business. This is how you get word-of-mouth referrals. Please make sure you tip them well. David Comeaux read more

I was very nervous about hiring movers to get all of my stuff from my in town home to a one bedroom apt in Brookhaven. Other moving companies scared me into believing that anything below their rate was dangerous and I would be robbed or screwed over in some kind of way. I hired Blitz to do the job, and I was NOT let down. James (the owner) is, first of all, a really nice and professional guy. He always responded to my e-mails quickly and operated professionally with me. In addition, his services were basically unmatched for the price. I required 2 men and a truck for 3 hours, which totaled to $315 (before my tip). James and another guy supervised while 2 men carefully wrapped and loaded all of my stuff into the truck. They took very special care when wrapping furniture, and nothing important was damaged. I will say, my walmart book shelf shattered, but honestly that is to be expected of walmart furniture. I have never had a shelf last more than two moves, and this shelf's time was up. Another note: They were extremely efficient on time. They were supposed to be at my house at 8:30 AM on a Saturday, and they were there 10 minutes early. What a relief. I had them for 3 hours (the minimum), but we only used 2.5! I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a very well priced and professional move. read more

James and his crew were great and would highly recommend. Move was scheduled to start at 1pm and they showed up at 12:55. Very quick response time for any questions. Blitz movers did a wonderful job taking good care of my belongings the first time I moved with them. We did have a little hiccup when the truck became completely full and there were still 4 more boxes to fit on so they took an extra 30-45 minutes to repack the truck. They assured me I would not be charged for that time and they kept their promise by knocking $ off the total bill at the end. I was so pleased with their services that I was certain I would use them again. Recently I hired them to move me on a much smaller job. They sent a confirmation email and everything was set. Just before my move the same person I worked with asked to come to my house to estimate how many people he would need. When he showed up he politely told me that he would not move me because of the "discount" he had given me on the last move and politely suggested that I get other estimates. They claimed that because the last move had been discounted that indicates that things did not go well and they will not work with that same client again. WHAT A DISASTER! I had scheduled everything around this move and now I was stuck having to find another mover at the last minute. DESPITE ALL THEIR CARE WITH MY BELONGINGS, I NEED A MOVER WHO IS RELIABLE AND WON'T CANCEL AT THE LAST MINUTE. read more

We just moved yesterday and we were looking for a team of trustworthy, quick, and professional movers to move just 1.5 miles away. To be honest, I was extremely skeptical with these reviews and in my head there isn't a mover like what yall described (had many bad experiences). I mean these reviews are a little bit too happy for just a moving service, but I totally see why it was necessary. They were more than great, they were about 10 minutes late but that's just because of the morning traffic, but when they arrived it was move move move! Within 15 minutes my place felt much emptier already. I had to call my partner and express my disbelief. They cared a whole bunch about our furniture, wrapped stuffs that needed more protection, made sure we are comfortable with things, etc. I would say more than what I asked for when I called them over. They were very VERY affordable, so much so we felt cheap for paying $300 for 3 hours of quality moving service with 2 guys, so we hiked up the tips. $400 for everything. 1 bedroom apartmentful of stuff. It took much longer only and only because of the retarded elevators at our building. But we confidently believe they could have done much faster than that. Very genuine people, strong (they pick up my dresserful of clothes like lego blocks), I will most definitely use them again even for out of state moves that we're planning in the future. It wasn't like an- oh they're moving just a mile and half away and we came in a big truck we gotta stretch some time to earn more- attitude. They came with alot of dollies and a HUGE truck. This is the kind of business I will not hesitate to support or be too happy about. So there you go, another too-happy customer review raving about a moving service. read more

The one star is for responding to the phone call and email. I called Blitz Moving Services because of an unusual predicament that left a family member without a mover on the scheduled move date (nope, not the family member's fault). Unfortunately, this occurred during a holiday weekend. After reading all of the fantastic reviews, I called Blitz Movers. It is important to note that I do not live in Georgia, my family member lives in Georgia which is why I contacted a Georgia moving company listed on Yelp Atlanta. When I called and explained the situation I was informed that I should have the family member call them directly. The person I spoke to (James?) stated that he was on another line with another caller. I asked if I could send an email with the details. Umm okay, after that I re-read the reviews which were overwhelmingly good. Then I thought maybe this person is just super busy. I sent an email to which the response was "have your family member call us." I can respect the desire to work directly with the person who will be moving but what would have been a better, professional response: "Generally, we work directly with the person moving because.... but if you want to know what our rates are the minimum charge for a move is ...... the cost will vary depending on the distance of the move, the amount of items that need to be packed. Our process is this.. We accept the following forms of payment. We understand the desire to assist a family member with a difficult situation, here is what we can do....." Needless to say, another moving company provided moving services for my family member. read more

Unloaded my 16-ft. truck in less than an hour, on short notice, on a day when it was supposed to rain all day. They were about $20/hr more than a company I found on craigslist, but after seeing bad reviews for that company I spent a little more and I'm glad I did. Thanks for moving me in, guys. read more

Blitz movers were punctual, efficient, and very hard working. I called a few days before I had to move and they offered the cheapest price. Due to a variety of circumstances too annoying to get into, I've had to move three times in the past three months and, by far, Blitz offered the best experience. A reasonably priced, courteous and professional service, Blitz showed up right on time -- in fact, they were a little early -- and got to work quickly. James, the owner, came and supervised as his two team members, Bernard and Miguel, worked at getting all my stuff out of my apartment, loaded onto their truck, transported across town and moved into my new place. From start to finish they did a great job and, most importantly, treated my belongings with respect (which, sad to say, was oddly refreshing). Thanks James, Miguel and Bernard. You rock and -- although I'm hoping it will be a long time (that's worth repeating, A LONG TIME) before I have to move again -- the next time I do, I'll be picking up the phone and dialing your number. read more
