Crispy fried !? Not soft and chewy

Unfortunately this is the third time I've been here and they've gotten so skimpy with the dough that every time they make it is thin and crispy. I even asked this last time for them to make it undercooked because it's nasty the owner needs to take charge and add more dough or teach these people how to cook fried dough

Fry doe. Did they capture Bambi and she's in terrible danger? I guess the name is a little like "shave ice" though both make me want to scramble up a ladder, stretch out my arm and grammatically fix the signage with a sharpie. Well, Blink's Fry Doe is a flat oval of fried dough dusted with your choice of sprinkled flavors. Melts in your mouth with the sugar raining onto your lips and shirt. I could have a fleeting summer romance with this stuff. *Cash only*

If I could give this place no stars I would. There were about 5-7 employees behind the counter and not a single one of them were welcoming. The cashier was rude and impatient. We ordered the cinnamon and sugar fried dough and their vanilla "shake." The cinnamon and sugar was very basic and not to mention really thin. The vanilla shake wasn't even a shake. After I ordered and saw how they made it I didn't even want it anymore. The employees were all not only unwelcoming but also unsanitary as well. Not a single one of them were wearing gloves. Touching cash, hair, and their face while serving food.. We took one bit of the fried dough and threw it right in the trash. We had no more than 3 sips of the shake and also threw it out at the next trash can we saw. This place was a waste of money. Also, cash only!

When I'm strolling along Ocean Blvd in Hampton Beach each summer, I always look for the bright orange sign to get my fried dough fix at Blink's Fry Doe, which is so awesome!!!! Blink's Fry Doe is offered in 20 different toppings including: sugar, cinnamon & sugar, powdered sugar, butter & sugar, tomato sauce & cheese, apple cinnamon, chocolate w jimmies, pb & j, garlic & butter, cheese, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, honey & walnuts, pure maple sugar, whip creme, coconut, sauce, apple, and chocolate. Can't decide?? You can even choose your own combination such as apple & chocolate and sauce & garlic. My favorites are the traditional cinnamon sugar, blueberry and honey & walnuts. The dough is made to order and comes out hot, crispy on the outside, soft & chewy inside and goes very well with a fresh squeezed lemonade or slush. The other night, I skipped dessert after having dinner at a nearby restaurant so I could have some Blink's Fry Doe before leaving town. What a great summertime treat!

Haven't had fried dough in years and this definitely hit the spot! Hot and sugary, I just got the standard powdered sugar but would try a lot of the different kinds they have.

The delightful scent of coffee was in the air and the staff were absolutely friendly as you approached the counter. Despite a buzz of patrons trickling in and ordering, the coffee was delivered to the table shortly after I sat. The staff obviously had a strong momentum going as I watched other tables being served just as quickly. Before I could even really start sipping on my piping hot Cafe Au Lait, I was served my salad and crepe. It was fun to watch how each person worked their station passionately. The lady preparing the crepes meticulously cleaned her station as she cooked. The staff on coffee were brewing away and sending cups out to diners. Other items were coming out from the back kitchen. They worked in unison like a well oiled machine. I definitely enjoyed my coffee. My salad was generous and hit the spot. The crepe was acceptable. Would I come back? Yeah, definitely my type of breakfast spot when visiting Portsmouth again. I definitely will try their croissants next time as well as check out their wine bar in the evenings!

Area or opt for service at the wine bar, we chose to seat ourselves at the bar after we placed our order. There was a line when we arrived. But service was very efficient, and we were quickly helped. There was a wait for our beverages. However it was well worth it. My mother was looking for a standard drip coffee and due to none being available. An excellent option of an americano was offered and she fell in love with it immediately. The deserts were also very well crafted and had excellent flavor. Definitely a place to stop. Relax people watch and enjoy a little treat with some great coffee options.

So I get a large Chip's Tip sub and a few pastries for snacks. The bill was steep for what I got but I thought it would be worth it for my son to try the sub. After getting it, we split the sub and ate it in the car. Let me tell you that this was not the same steak tip I remembered. It was so bad, we tossed it in the garbage at the gas station next door. The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. I know a lot of people will swear by their steak tip subs and that is great but it's just not for me anymore.
