tried the Acai bowl after a long walk along the beach. The bowl was good. The base was a berry frozen yogurt with your choice of 4 toppings. I chose strawberry, granola, banana and coconut. Located right at the beginning of the boardwalk, this shop offers the most varied soft serve flavors! I'd argue it has the most different flavors and biggest range among all the shop - despite it being quite a ways away from any central location. I got to try the tiramisu and mint chocolate soft serve as well as some fried dough and it was delicious! I must admit that because the soft serve melts so fast, it's hard not to try to finish it all on the spot (shop has AC) as if you decide to take it on the go, you'll soon find yourself a mess with ice cream all over your hand as you try your best to make it back to the beach under the blazing heat in the summertime. Tiramisu tasted exactly like so, except in soft serve form - it was neither too coffee or chocolate, instead a nice Amaretto balance of both. Mint choco tasted like a light mint and the chocolate flavor isn't as pronounced if your prefer that. The fried dough portion was huge as well and you can ask for it to be cut if needed! Aloha Ice Cream deserves a 5 star, not only for its ice cream, but because of its customer service. The staff are incredibly friendly and kind. After already purchasing ice cream earlier, I went back to get a bottled water and did not have cash. While it was well under the credit card minimum, they allowed me to still purchase this, and quite literally told me that so many other places in the area just turn people away (to use the bathroom!), aren't considerate/caring of their customers, and simply don't care (which based on experience, I believe) Aloha went above and beyond- giving delicious ice cream, friendly service, and compassion. The hard ice cream is the only thing special here IMO and it's our go to on the beach for YEARS. that's why any stars. This year our experience is really really REALLY sloooooow. Attention owner, when you look at your sales and they are down 25% or more Covid is NOT an excuse, your customers are walking away. The only difference is the line is outside instead of inside. Under trained, bad week, IDK? The staff is VERY nice and helpful, just seem to not be able to manage the pace (or wear a mask). This is on ownership. Don't know what's going on but for the first time in 10 years we abandoned our space in line and walked another block and went to you know who instead. We aren't the only ones. 50 flavors of soft serve ice cream caught my eye while walking by. Upon walking in the staff was really nice. It was slow, we were the only ones there. They truly lacked cleanliness in the seating area. I had ordered the bubblegum soft serve ice cream, and my sister ordered the cinnamon sugar fried dough. The fried dough was made within a few minutes, and was decent. However, it took them about 5-8 minutes to get the soft serve ice cream out for me. I'm not sure why it took so long, but after trying a bite it really was not that good. Rainbow sprinkles were stale, ice cream itself lacked flavor, didn't really taste like much of anything. Disgusting! My husband and I went for a walk today on Hampton Beach and we saw Aloha Ice Cream. We decided to stop. As I waited in line, the person in front of me was asking for a taste of a flavor. The server gave him a small bite on a plastic spoon. Then he asked about another flavor, and the server took the same spoon from the man and scooped out the ice cream with it! Yes, the same spoon that the customer just ate from! I said-you've got to be kidding me-and walked out. I have never seen such a thing. During covid to start off with. Yesterday 8/22 I went with my family and friends. The man who worked between 5-close was the absolute worst. Looked lost, messed up on everyone's order. Had people waiting and because he couldn't even find half the stuff he needed. Also no gloves and no mask. He also tried to charge my father for the customers order ahead of us that had already payed. Today different friends and family we walked in and was already like hell no. Same fucking guy.
