It's totally worth the 1.45 min drive since this fried dough is out-of this-world delicious! They have so many different toppings, but I usually stick to the good old fashioned Works. My daughter loves the Oreo fry! Lines can be long, but it's for a good reason! It goes by fast, as they are constantly cranking them out from their little beach hut. Blink's Fry Doe is offered in 20 different toppings including: sugar, cinnamon & sugar, powdered sugar, butter & sugar, tomato sauce & cheese, apple cinnamon, chocolate w jimmies, pb & j, garlic & butter, cheese, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, honey & walnuts, pure maple sugar, whip creme, coconut, sauce, apple, and chocolate. Can't decide?? You can even choose your own combination such as apple & chocolate and sauce & garlic. My favorites are the traditional cinnamon sugar, blueberry and honey & walnuts. If I could give this place no stars I would. There were about 5-7 employees behind the counter and not a single one of them were welcoming. The cashier was rude and impatient. We ordered the cinnamon and sugar fried dough and their vanilla "shake." The cinnamon and sugar was very basic and not to mention really thin. The vanilla shake wasn't even a shake. After I ordered and saw how they made it I didn't even want it anymore. The employees were all not only unwelcoming but also unsanitary as well. Not a single one of them were wearing gloves. Touching cash, hair, and their face while serving food.. We took one bit of the fried dough and threw it right in the trash. Cash only! They only have fried dough and some drinks. We ordered the butter and sugar fried dough and one walnut honey. My husband was indifferent about the walnut honey. The honey is thin and the walnuts wasn't covered in any honey so it was dry, unseasoned nuts on top of thinned out honey and fried dough. The dough itself is more flat and long - no air bubbles which is the parts I love. The butter and sugared one is the same way. Not a lot of butter or sugar. The additional powdered sugar helped make it sweet but overall, light on the topping. I wish I could give this a 5 star but unfortunately this place grosses me out. I visited this establishment Sat evening. The service was fast. Maybe because most people we're still choosing to quarantine at home. With the coronavirus, I would assume ALL food establishments would take precautions by maintaining cleanliness. This place, the lemonade stand next door as well as the Italian food next door all utilized their gloves wrong. Poorly trained staff. They do wear a mask. They ask their customers to practice social distancing but they touch everything with the same gloves! I watch them collect CASH, touch their computer screen, open up the register and then HANDLED FOOD all with the same gloves. Then did it again for the next customer. I am not sure if these people understand cross contamination but once you touch money or anything else you must change your gloves. Disgusting. I got my fried dough and ate around the part the cashier did not touch. It was absolutely delicious. The texture, cinnamon, butter and sugar combo was delightful. I just wish this place knew better. The BEST fried dough I have EVER had! It's not cheap junk. The dough is quality and tastes delicious. It's very reasonable too - $3.95 for one and it's big. You do have to wait a short time because they prepare each one individually and it's SOO worth the wait. They give you a ticket (like at a deli counter) and they have it hot and ready in about 2 minutes. I got the standard powdered sugar. It comes with one side powdered, other side granulated sugar. It was SO good. They have a lot of toppings and prepare them to taste. I wish I lived closer bc I would want to go there all the time. Definitely check this place out. Walking along the beach and saw the store and tried out their fried dough. Got the 'works' for $4.55... honey, powder and cinnamon. The fried dough came out quickly and was the shape of a flattened small sub roll as it was stretched. Flavor wise, it was good. The issue I had with it was that it took less than 2 minutes to come out. Not just mine, but the next order after me. That tells you that it was NOT Freshly made but Reheated! It was warm, good and stretchy but wasn't hot or crispy after coming out of the deep fryer. If the company is going to charge money for fried 'doe', at least make it FRESH! We had no idea what this even was, but it smelled like heaven and all 15 or so people in line couldnt possibly be wrong. I still dont know exactly what it is, except for the obvious; fried dough. It sorta reminds me of bread dough, perhaps slightly sweetened and deepfried til the edges are crisp and the center is still soft. The list of toppings are admirable and range from sweet and fairly traditional (chocolate, fruit, powdered sugar) to savory such as garlic. We stuck with cinnamon sugar, and found these puppies eerily addictive. We came back throughout our trip several times and may or may not have eaten two each. And unusually, they're really not that far from each other. A friend and I had visited the one further away from the Hampton Ballroom and Casino...which is rumored to be the original. The dough is well fried...comes with about two dozen different choices of toppings...ranging from sweet to savory...and will cost you approx $3.75 a piece. I know at most carnivals and amusement parks, the fried dough comes out round...well, this one is more long...like a hotdog bun, but really, it's plenty of fried dough for one person, maybe even split if you're not feeling up for the task. We both happen to have chosen the butter/sugar combo...with some cinnamon on top of that. Fried Dough is fried dough is fried dough... I've had it in SO many forms (Italian zeppoles,Filipino bicho-bicho, Chinese donuts, Greek loukoumades, those sickly sweet Indian balls floating in sugar water, the tried and true carnival funnel cake)! However, I can confidently say that Fry Doe is ONE OF MY FAVORITES. It's so simple.. flat! Like a pizza! No mess from having to dig your hand into and around a greasy bag of powdered sugar like zeppoles. No sticky syrupy mess on your hands like the honey loukoumades, no disastrous and inevitable dusting of powdered sugar all over your shirt from the wind gently blowing over your funnel cake! It's clean and tasty and what's best... you can put like, ANYTHING on it. It's fried dough, not rocket science... and even the bad stuff is good... But the GOOD stuff, is REALLY good. 4.5 stars... I first saw Blinks when they were featured on the Phantom Gourmet and I knew I had to check them out on my next trip to Hampton Beach. They're a tiny operation (just a walk-up window) right on the beach alongside all of the other shops. All they have here is fried dough but they do it differently than anyone else. They make a long skinny fried dough and you've got a couple dozen different toppings you can get. Forget about cinnamon and sugar, butter, or powdered sugar (which are also very good here), it's definitely worth going for something more interesting like the PB&J or Butter and Garlic. Blinks should be on everyone's go-to list if you're in the Hampton Beach area (depending on how much you like fried dough it's probably even worth a drive out to Hampton Beach just for these babies). read more

Blink's has the greatest fried dough on earth. Hands down. I grew up in New Hampshire and remember having Blink's as a treat when we made the trip to the beach. We return to New Hampshire every summer for our family vacation and this year, my husband and I introduced our daughters to Blink's. First of all, the fried dough and lemonade were as yummy as we remembered them. Blinks is often rated #1 in New Hampshire magazine for having the best fried dough; and, there's a reason for this: they do. It starts with the clever shape. Theirs is long and thin making it amazingly easy to eat while walking. It's also the right size. Most fried dough is really two portions which most of us will gladly eat. Blinks is just the right size for one and you don't feel like a blimp when you've finished. The dough is crispy and super chewy in the middle. Eating this you just get happy, real happy. While they offer a dozen or so toppings, I prefer to stick to plain sugar. It's not the most healthful thing you'll eat all summer; but, if you spent the winter getting yourself in shape, a fried dough or two won't kill you. read more
