About what you would expect when you walk into a loud and overly neoned space. The prices are outrageous, of course, but the real kicker is that you order from a kiosk and then get prompted to leave a tip, and when you look up, the two (TWO!) workers are on their phones. Chef's kiss! Our daughter got the Magic Carpet Ride, which was a pretty good deal for $10 for a small burger and fries. We shared the "GNAR-BE-QUE" ($19 with no sides) and also got some loaded fries and carrot fries. Yes, we were being total fatties after a day of skiing, don't judge! Of course it ended up being way too much food. The burger is pretty good, but the carrot fries were undercooked and the cheese fries were essentially just smothered and became way too soggy. Everything was also super salty. One of us appreciated the spicy margarita and they do have a bunch of beers on draft. This actually would have been a mostly positive review but then we allowed our daughter to get one of those ridiculous milkshakes ($19) and it was downright disgusting. Re. the strawberry milkshake, which was called "Unicorn Toot" (BARF), the actual milkshake portion--aka the heart of the matter--was entirely liquid. Zero element of ice cream or texture and there was so much crap all over it that it was beyond over the top. Cotton candy in a cone plopped on top??! Just WHAT. It's like they came up with the idea with AI it was so dumb. Listen, we had a good time hanging out with a friend there that we randomly met up with at Big Sky, but it seems like there are way better places to eat. We'd skip this place. Three (generous) stars. read more

Had the shredder burger. It was really good. The Parmesan fries however were just ok. Nice vibe and bar. Service was pretty good but a bit chaotic at times. All in all, better than average read more

High-priced for what it is, but it is a Ski Resort Areas. Super Casual, Order at the counter, fast service. Contemporary decor. Burgers alone were $15-$19, to add on a small fry and drink was an additional $6. The Smashburgers were good, fries were hot and fresh, but average. Vanilla milkshake, also average - not very thick. read more

Burgers, fries and Mac n cheese bites were amazing! We are glad we came in and will be back soon!

When you must wait to place your order at the counter because the worker is texting, you know you should've gone somewhere else. Food was OK, probably wouldn't eat there again. Oh, one more thing.... caught a worker eating fries from my basket while it waited on the counter to be brought to our table... we finally gave up waiting for our food to be delivered and picked it up ourselves. read more

There must be better places to eat. I hardly ever leave a bad review but this was a total disappointment. Maybe I should have had a burger but that wouldn't have fixed some of the issues anyway. The guy at the counter was friendly and efficient. I ordered the chicken which was cold in the center, clearly frying frozen premade chicken. Unappealing to have your second bite of each one be frozen. Fries were okay but again just frozen from a bag. Most disappointing was the icy shake with not a lot of chocolate flavor. read more

Terrible customer service. The worker who was hugging and kissing his female friend in the front of the business yelled at my toddler for putting his hands on the door to the business. Once inside there was no direction on how to get ice cream so we headed to the ice cream stand to order. The worker rudely told us we cannot do that. When we got to the counter to order same thing as the other two. Incredibly rude and impatient. Glad we ate next door at the pizza place. Would not go back! read more

If overpriced burgers and milkshakes are your thing, go for it. I should probably preface this by saying our food was good. But it was also paired with long wait times and messy tables. Upon walking in, you'll notice the ordering window to your right and the dining area to your left. The font on the digital menu can be hard to see from the back of the line. Everything besides your food is self-serve: drinks, condiment area, etc. Actually, they call your number to pick up your food as well so I guess besides the actual cooking, you're in charge here. Which is not necessarily a bad thing but the price point doesn't justify the experience. We were able to grab a table quickly but had to clean it off ourselves. The other empty tables were also a bit messy. That's where the waiting game started. It took over 35 minutes to get our order. Definitely not the place to stop if you're really hungry. They also forgot our truffle fries so we had to wait a bit longer for those. Now, to shed some light on this review, our food was actually pretty tasty. I ordered The Shredder. It was yummy. The burger itself was filling. We probably should've stopped there. I also ordered the chocolate peanut butter paradise milkshake - it was like drinking pure cane sugar from a cup. Seriously, it was so sweet I couldn't even get through half of it. The truffle fries were a great compliment to my burger. Hubby got the Base Layer burger and the Birthday Cake milkshake. He loves his sweets and the milkshake was way too sweet for him as well. Though, he was a fan of his burger. Overall, the food was good but everything else was severely lacking. For about $100 (including our tip), I would much rather spend my time and money on a ribeye that gets served to me. read more

Absolute worst burger I've ever had, and insanely overpriced for what is easily comparable to a middle school cafeteria burger. $30 for 16 fries, sysco patty and bun, and a shake is insane. Actual robbery. Disgusting. read more

Not a great day experience. Service staff is very disinterested in customers; we ordered an app and 2 sandwiches. kitchen staff prepped the app and then it sat until burgers were ready before they brought it, at which point it was cold. Food is mid at best. Over priced ski town, booths are uncomfortable, and employees could care less if you dine there are not. read more

Overpriced and TERRIBLE SERVICE! Staff was annoyed they had to take our order and just left our shake at the counter for us to "find".

Terrible service. Not very busy - ordered three shakes that came to just under $50 which is ridiculous itself but whatever we're in a tourist town so I get it. I waited over 30 mins for our number to be called and when I heard a number called that came after our number I asked where our order was and I was told it was sitting on a counter on the other side. I said we've been sitting here the whole time and nobody said anything and the worker just shrugged. Shakes were melted. read more

Best burger EVER! We stopped in on the third day of opening and were anxious to try the much needed new burger and shake place in town. Let's just say we were blown away and there was not a crumb left on our plates!! The burgers were uniquely crafted and cooked to perfection. Fries were delicious and the oreo old fashion shake was SO good! I would not say the prices are "Big Sky prices" as nowadays, any burger is in the $16 range and most are not as loaded and delicious as these ones! My fiancé ordered the mac-n-cheese bites as well and he said they were the best he's ever had! I highly recommend the Beehive Burger (named after a favorite local hike!). The staff was super friendly and attentive, it did not seem like this was only the third day open based on how smoothly everything ran! Props to Twist and the crew on another great restaurant addition to Big Sky! read more

Damn I dont want to hate on a new business in town but the last thing we need is another poorly managed restaurant. I was looking forward to trying a burger and a beer, and being by myself I sat down at the bar. I sat there for about 10 minutes. The bartender walked around, poured 3 people waters, left for a while, came back, poured a soda for someone else, wiped down some counters. The whole time I'm staring at him. Then a manager looking guy comes over and they start chatting. Drying some dishes, etc. I got up and left. Btw there are 8 total seats at this bar. I didn't even get to ask if I could order food at the bar so I have no idea. Likely would have to wait in line since it's counter service. Their tag line is "fries shakes beers". They have 4 total beers on tap, with one being coors light. So if you like $20 "fast casual" (counter service) burgers, no beer selection, and zero service, check this place out. Better yet, skip and go to Riverhouse read more

Emily, Kalon, and Lily made me feel like a local in town. 10/10 will come back next trip to Big Sky. Burgers and shakes were awesome.

Walk up and order at counter. Food will be brought to table. We had a variety of smash burgers, including an impossible burger for our veggie friend. Sides of sweet potatoes fries, truffle fries and onion rings were yummy and hot. They also have gigantic (almost $20) shakes if you are feeling naughty or celebrating an occasion. Staff was friendly and seating is mixture of high tops, tables and booths. Parking on street or in lot behind building. read more

Filthy establishment. Every table was dirty. The bathroom light switch had black marks on it.

This is by far the best food I've eaten in so long. The food is so delicious it's the elbow dripping good burger. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. The restaurant atmosphere is very friendly and calm which is great. It's not busy and loud. Highly recommended for any and all meals. read more

The food was ok. Nothing great. We got a few burgers. A Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the lunch specials that came with fries. When we received our order they did not include the fries so my husband went to the counter and asked for the fries the gal who also took our order gave him the service receipt and said, "what did you order?" Not knowing how to read restaurant lingo he gave it back and said, "I don't know how to read this," she then looked at the receipt and said you got 3 lunch fries. Not helpful at all. It really seemed as though She did not like us from the start. For 4 people to eat, get snotty service and an incomplete order we spent about 120 bucks. Would not return. read more

The food is amazing! The fries are perfectly crispy and the burgers are fresh, big, and delicious. A little pricey, but I my opinion well worth it. Another "cash in" business for BigSky... this ain't Jackson. The Good: burgers were tasty and well prepared as long as you stick to the basics. They are the draw, and they should be. Well cooked, tasty sauce and fairly quick for a ski burger. Otherwise: upcharges.... Over $3.00 to add onions to a burger? Didn't find out til the bill came. The sides is where they kill you. 8 bucks for a "large" very small fry, 8 more for garlic cheese curds that were pretty weak. Industrial ketchup and packets of crystal sauce are not the way to go. Beer, kinda local, but 8.50 each is no deal. Go for lunch, stick to the basics, and good. Otherwise....... read more

Update: we gave this place a second chance. Still not worth it at all. If paying $20 for a cup of whipped cream and a minuscule amount of milkshake is your jam, then this place is for you.
