Glad the conversations around us were so interesting, because it did take longer than expected for our meals to be served. I am so glad I followed Shane's suggestion that the chicken fried steak was their most popular item. It was, in fact, very good. Love that even the biscuit underneath the steak and sausage gravy was very tasty. The hash browns were delicious Maggie's corned beef hash was very disappointing, made worse by this being our only meal til we reach our next destination tonight. Overall, we loved the ambiance, Shane served us well and we loved seeing the diverse clientele interact with the staff and each other - even the cook came out to greet customers at the bar with high fives all around.

We were there right as they were turning over from lunch service to dinner, so beware they do close for an hour for that (saw some sad folks wishing they could get in during that hour). They had a couple of tvs if you were looking to keep an eye on any games, but also the dining room is super cozy with a fireplace, and a couch sitting area for those just grabbing a coffee. The place is a small food truck, manned by one person at a time but wait times were short and the servers gave great customer service, taking time to explain all our options. The posted a humongous menu on the outside of the truck. There are so many options to chose from. The location is perfect. There are cute little shops everywhere. I wasn't substituting anything--I was literally asking them to leave ingredients off the salad. When I questioned it, I was told, 'It's just our policy.' I've never encountered a restaurant that charges customers extra for eating less food, especially when it's due to allergies. The salad was fine, but charging allergy-sensitive customers more for a safe meal is disappointing and not customer-friendly.
