Quaint little cafe with delicious breakfast paninis. Also do catering and have lots of take out options for groups/family dining.

Lots of bread, no meat.

I wish I could hire these gals to cook every meal of my life. I will be coming back to Big Sky to visit them again.

Hungry Moose Market and Deli is a convenience store in the middle of Big Sky. Grocery, hot and cold…read moreready-to-eat, florist, wine and beer, Montana-made products, (of course we got huckleberry preserves), We grabbed a fresh turkey avocado tomato whole-grain sandwich, good hot cappuccino (with our choice of oat milk), some cute souvenirs, and candy for the road. This place hosts a happy wirey moose sculpture, and is across from a wheeled-wolf sculpture. Prices were reasonable. There's public restrooms near the florist.

At the hungry moose, they assemble an inquisition, a real triumvirate of geniuses, the moose brain trust. This tribunal of 3 will repeatedly suspect you of lying about the price and send not 1, not 2, but 3 separate individuals to go to the product's aisle and verify the listed price. If you express any annoyance at their distrust and the insanely long time it takes them to verify a price tag 5 feet away, the power-hungry shift supervisor will sass you and tell you to relax. Wow, what great customer service. I've had great experiences with people like Sergio, Tucker, and Bailey in all my years living in Big Sky, but the 3 people working at 6:45 pm on October 13th, 2026 have dissuaded me from ever patronizing this business again. Great job, guys!

Wow! Wow, wow, wow!…read more Wife and I stopped by for lunch on our way back from Yellowstone to Bozeman airport and it was worth the stop! We had lunch and this is a special place. The entire setting - land, building, etc. was awesome. I wish we would have gone for dinner and experienced that! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I had the burger and wife had the salmon. Both were perfect! Topped it off with a beer and a glass of wine and it ended up being an amazing lunch. We will be back if ever in the area.

We arrived for lunch on Sunday, around 1:30. It took a good 5 minutes for anyone to greet us. We…read morethink it was the manager who finally rescued us, he was very friendly. Our server was efficient, he brought us a pitcher of water after we quickly downed our first glasses. We ordered 3 burgers and the steak sandwich. The burgers and fries were all great. The steak sandwich had maybe 2oz of meat on it and a few arugula leaves. We called attention to the measly sandwich with the waiter...like surely this can't be right for $33? He didn't act like it was unusual, but offered to swap it out for another burger at our request. I wish I would've taken photo of it, because it was comical. Especially next to the huge burger and huge turkey club sandwiches they were bringing out. There were a LOT of flies and bees around our table constantly. All other tables had one of those fly fans on them, but we didn't get one. The flies were abundant and annoying. This was the first meal we've eaten at Big Sky, so I can't say whether or not we would return. Perhaps at dinner. It has a great reputation. But I wouldn't order the steak sandwich again.
