Stayed in Ennis & looked for a breakfast spot & found this place. We split a Mount Holmes Plate. It was enough for us. Took a bit for the food to come out and that is okay as all of it was hot & fresh. Service was great. Place looks nice and clean. Only one Pic of what was left when we were done, as it was so yummy & we dove in.

The Ennis Cafe has been a stop for me for 40 years. Still one of the best breakfasts in this part of the world. Yeah I know times have been tough in Ennis--as a local told me "no one can get help here" so sometimes there's just 3 people running the place. So it can be slow--I say so what! Quality, freshness, care, you will find it here. The vibe is relaxed and comfy--I love the counter when traveling solo. We both had variations on the Gallatin plate--wonderful cooked bacon, two huge eggs, cooked perfectly to order, hash browns and either a short stack or French toast. If you are HUNGRY--get the French toast--it is a awesome delicious "side" to go with the already full breakfast plate. These places are increasingly difficult to find in Western Montana--thanks to the owners and staff for keeping traditions alive.

As always, Ennis Sunrise Cafe delivers. Abundant yummy French toast, great eggs and sides, and wonderful peach crepes. All with a friendly side of coffee in an authentic diner feel. Just a Montana favorite!

My coworker and I stopped by for brunch (10:30a), highly recommend I got a Cuban sandwich with tots. My sandwich was very delicious, great golden brown bread, tots also crispy golden cooked to perfection. Coworker got breakfast platter, he loved it! Older town, small town great spot if you're a traveler

Small little diner. Stopped by driving thru Ennis for breakfast. Good hearty breakfast. The waitress was very nice and service was good. Enjoyed my meal and recommend.

So glad we found this little gem - lots of history in the place! They sell antiques and show how the cafe originally started. The waiter was very nice and always kept our drinks refilled. Our food was amazing and the prices were good. Definitely a great spot for breakfast, lunch & everything in between!

Outside of restaurant. Keep driving by and save your body from potential butter-induced heart attack.

Terrible service and worse food. Undercooked breakfast. We sat at the counter and saw our food sitting up at the kitchen for at least 5 minutes and all the servers ignoring it. We finally had to ask for it. I'll say it again. The food was awful. First bad food in Montana in a week.

Nice place, simple. Waitress was nice and the chef even stopped by to check on our lunch. We had a vegetable wrap, BLT and tea. We would go back.

Great place for breakfast, quick service, and good food to start the day. East parking out front. Sometimes super busy because fishermen need their coffee too.

French toast and supposed to be over medium eggs. Eggs were actually over hard, yuck.

Service was real good considering they were short staffed. Food was inexpensive and tasted great. No problems here.

Delightful cafe for any meal of the day! We stopped in mid afternoon after a cold, snowy day in…read moreYellowstone, and were ready for some warm food and drink. I had their veggie burger, which was really good and had a delicious sauce. Others in my party had the cheeseburger and the pulled pork sandwich, which they both enjoyed too. We also got some drinks from their coffee bar, and their chai latte was great, just the perfect amount of spice for me. And they have a lot of fun coffee syrup flavors if that's your thing (toasted marshmallow, huckleberry, etc.) We skipped the bakery case, but they have a lot of tempting treats! We were there right as they were turning over from lunch service to dinner, so beware they do close for an hour for that (saw some sad folks wishing they could get in during that hour). They had a couple of tvs if you were looking to keep an eye on any games, but also the dining room is super cozy with a fireplace, and a couch sitting area for those just grabbing a coffee. It was snowy when we were there, but they have a cute little patio area too that I'm sure is great in the summer.

Wonderland Cafe caused me to break one of my chief vacation rules. I never dine on the same place…read moretwice. But Wonderland's menu had so many yummy things, I simply had to come back! The first visit, my friend and I split a burger that was really tasty, moist and well accessorized. We got fries and a side salad and both were great accompaniments. The second time, I was hungrier and so excited to try the amazing bison ravioli. My only regret was the one that fell onto the bar when I was offering a taste to my friend. A whole ravioli went un-enjoyed by a tragic fumble of the fork. The ravioli was delicious and clearly made with love. The cream sauce was surprisingly light for a creamy sauce. I believe this could easily be their signature dish. My friend also had a pasta dish and really enjoyed it. Ambiance-wise, it can't be beat. I was genuinely taken by the collection of Nate Udd's artwork available for purchase, as well as the work of several other artists and photographers.
