What a gem of a place! The best breakfast we have ran across on our trip out West. We ordered the Hammer Down Burrito with fresh grated hash browns and could not even eat half. It's a must stop if you like the vintage look and farm-to-table food. read more

The most authentic diner I've ever been to. Full of locals, truckers and farmers. Super sweet waitress, the food smells amazing as you walk in. I got the biscuits and gravy special, a very unusual order for myself, by loved it! We also got the Trucker Special- two pancakes, two eggs, hash browns and sausage. All delicious! read more

What a fabulous place a true, classic road diner with ham and eggs, peach pie, and great service. You need to stop here for sure.

We stopped by on our way down to Yellowstone from Helena and enjoyed a lovely country/diner atmosphere, a ready supply of good coffee and hearty and delicious breakfast plates. Really, really good American cafe/diner near Ennis. My belt was great and the side salad was the best I've ever had in a diner with mixed greens, yellow and green bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions. The bto(add avocado) to a blt was awesome. Great milkshakes, burgers, and French dip were all also wonderful. A true gem between three forks and ennis with super friendly and prompt service. Driving back home to Seattle and we were starving! It was early morning and seemed there was nothing open for miles until we happened upon The Town Haul Diner. So glad we stoped here. It's small and quaint which is perfect. The true American diner feel with real people inside. Great coffee Great service Great food The hash browns are some of the best I've ever had. This restaurant was recommended by the barmaid at the bar in Pony (there's only one bar in Pony). For a small town diner, I loved this place. The front part of the restaurant consists of an old-style counter with old-style barstools. The back part consists of tables in a 1950's retro theme. It's small, but cozy. The waitress was very friendly. My salad was fine, but my B.L.T. was fantastic. Hamburger wasn't cooked all the way through, with a piece of lettuce that as starting to turn black on the edges. Fajita salad was bland with wilted spinach leaves. We had to ask for dressing for it. We were considering having a piece of pie but the waitress brought our ticket before we were done eating and the restaurant was getting busy. We were never asked how our meal was, or had our water refilled. Bathrooms were out of order. read more

We were starving after a day at the lake and we thought we would give this little diner a try. From the moment we walked in, I knew we had found a gem! The adorable retro decor mixed with some old Olivia Newton John and Captain & Tenille - I was loving it. We all thought our meals were delicious and the service was great! This may we'll be the birthplace of baskets and gravy. At the very least the gold standard. Hands down the best I've ever had. Small quintessential definition of a local diner. We're from The Mitten State our here on vacation driving from West Yellowstone to Columbia Falls. We got an early jumpstart to the day and once we got into Harrison MT I found this little gem for breakfast. We weren't feeling the breakfast so we ordered the Patty Melt and a grilled ham and cheese. Might I say wow to the patty melt, the beef was fresh and it just melted in your mouth. Excellent home town diner, delicious food, I had the biscuits and gravy. Lots of sausage in the gravy, definitely get your money's worth. If you're traveling between Ennis and Helena or Three Forks, it is a must stop for a good home made breakfast or lunch! This little diner serves the best food. Their mushroom burger so good plus the soup of the day & sandwiches.

Nice, clean small town diner. The service was great and the food was amazing. Had the chicken fried stake and it was one of the best I've ever had. The gravy had a nice peppery kick to it. Raspberry rhubarb pie will change your life. Highly recommended even if it's out of the way. read more
