Food was delicious. Service was impeccable. They even timed the delivery of our meals perfectly when my mum finished her French onion soup. We enjoyed everything from drinks and apps to dessert. Nice ambiance too. Good music and lighting. Lots of nice pictures.

Came for a special birthday celebration. I made a reservation for 2 in advance and the table was ready on time. Found Bleu by doing Google and Yelp searches of the best restaurants on the Cape and I was not lied to! The service was polite and efficient. The food was amazing! Here's what we got: Escargot w/ garlic butter: $11 Oysters w/ mignonette: $15 Salmon w/ mango pineapple chutney served with rice and asparagus: $33 Cassoulet w/ duck leg confit: $32 Belgian Chocolate Mousse: $9 Cocktails and beers (various) Every course was delicious! I hadn't had escargot in a while and it was exactly what I wanted it to be - buttery, garlicky and cooked right. The oysters were fresh and well shucked. My salmon was cooked well and I really liked the chutney; however, the coconut jasmine rice and asparagus were kind of boring even though they were cooked correctly. Besides the escargot, I would say the duck cassoulet was the star of the night! I'm not a big duck fan, but I tried my boyfriend's dish and it was amazing! My only complaint was that it was a bit too salty, but it was super tasty and I would totally order that next time. My only "letdown" was that I put that it was my *cough cough*th birthday in the reservation and the restaurant didn't acknowledge it in any way. I thought the dessert might be special (Happy birthday written on a plate) or comped, but it wasn't. We were given the check without asking for it and I had wanted to order 1 last drink - something with champagne since I was celebrating. I went to the bathroom and then was able to flag down the manager to express my disappointment (they had started to close up a bit early). He was apologetic and asked the bartender to make 1 last cocktail for me that he also comped, which was very nice. Overall, this was definitely a 5-star restaurant and experience. I will definitely return for another meal.

Food and drinks were way too expensive. Service was great but not a family restaurant because of price.

The interior is pretty basic, small tables and small chairs, so a person of substance such as myself didn't find the seating comfortable. I tried: - French onion soup: this should have been an easy win. I found the Gruyere cheese to be overly thick, and the broth to be heavy handed on the wine. - Steak tartare: this was a good dish. The beef was thin cut, smooth, and the egg was cooked just right so the yolk added richness that then got offset by the capers. Due to the richness, you may actually find that this could be all you need for a meal, despite it looking small. - Croque Madame: le sigh, what a failure this sandwich was. Over easy egg? Not today, over medium, so not much runny yolk but a thicker one. This is a gigantic salt bomb, in addition. They serve your water in tiny glasses and every bite led to downing an entire glass of water. It's good they were on top of refilling the glasses, but even then I finished a quarter of this before I couldn't take it any more. I did saunter over to the counter where they have a lot of good looking pastries, so we'll see if the ones I bought end up redeeming this place. As it stands, I can't recommend this establishment unless you'd like to try the tartare.

Apparently, the owner wanted to re-focus on that part of the business. *shrug* I used to come here around opening and see a lengthy line. The croissants are some of the best in the area. The plain croissant is flaky and light. The ham & cheese croissant is more of a croque monsieur and it's a pretty substantial offering, full of cheese, ham, and béchamel sauce. The individual tarts (lemon, raspberry, etc.) and cakes are beautifully designed and are appropriately sweet. The tart crusts were legit. I'll miss coming here for pastries/desserts. Maybe I'll try the bistro when it opens, but now I've found a new spot on the Cape for French patisserie and viennoiserie items.
