I always stop by this quick pizza restaurant whenever I am downtown. Located across from Yonge Dundas Square. You can chose from their preset pizzas or build your own. You can put on as much toppings as you wish when building which is great. This time I had the Carnivore pizza which has pepperoni, ham and meatballs. It is then topped with balsamic sauce. The pizza is then baked in the stone oven. As usual, the pizza was well done, with a nice thin crust. The taste was wonderful especially with the balsamic sauce which added a nice flavour. I visited here recently after seeing they had vegan options online. They were really cautious with my food allergy and changed gloves and made sure to use vegan pizza cutters which made me feel a lot better about my food. The pizza was honestly one of the better vegan pizzas I've had and was ready really quickly. The restaurant seating area was clean but a little busy because of the location. This is the Blaze location by Dundas Square. They are a North American chain catering to takeout customers. Food (3/5) - had the Vine pizza and replaced the tomatoes for onions. Overall I found it very average. The tomato sauce was a bit bland and the crust was a bit paper like consistency. Service (4/5) - friendly and fairly quick with offer to substitute toppings at no extra charge. Atmosphere (3.5/5) - some dine in tables but pretty much quick service takeout layout. I ordered the pizza on their website. We had a group arriving with dinner plans for 6 PM so we ordered in advance using their wonderful option to pick exactly when you want to have the food delivered. They have a small message in their order process like a caveat that they may use a third-party service for delivery. Well, let me tell you it's a guarantee to use a third-party service. They outsource all their deliveries to DoorDash and they ask you for a tip in advance because they have no way of passing the DoorDash unless you do it while you're placing your order not when the food is delivered, which means tip has no bearing on performance of delivery. The order was ready for pick up at 5:12 with the pick up time of 514. However, the order was not picked up until 559 which means it sat there on the counter 445 minutes 45 minutes yes 45 minutes it sat there for 45 minutes and not one person in their restaurant bothered to say this order has been sitting on the counter for 45 minutes. It's old and cold and has not been picked up by our contracted delivery service DoorDash. It was then picked up by delivery person at 5:59 PM at which point it was taken as order number three by the delivery person who then proceeded to deliver order number one order number two and then order number three. The pizza finally arrived at 6:45 yes, the pizza was 45 minutes past the scheduled delivery time and was made 45 minutes before the scheduled delivery time. What does this mean ultimately that blaze pizza near their delivery guys which are not their own? They're actually DoorDash's take a long time to deliver so they prepared the pizza to have it picked up and drive around in the car for 45 minutes. Do you remember those days when Domino's would say 30 minutes are free that's 30 minutes from time when you place the order until the time when it's delivered blaze pizza is budgeting 45 whole minutes just for delivery forget when you have the order placed 45 minutes just for delivery and then DoorDash took Another 45 minutes to deliver the pizza. Now blaze doesn't want to deal with you when you have a complaint so they make every possible effort to push you off to the website to fill in a form hoping that maybe you'll hear back from them at some point, but I didn't do that I pushed through on their phone line, even though they warned me that their kitchen staff are often too busy to answer the phone a man answered, and then after telling them the situation suggested that I complain to DoorDash for late delivery he tried to pass the buck onto DoorDash as if it's their problem alone, but the delivery was not delivered on time, but the reality is my relationship was not with doorDash. It was with blaze pizza I ordered from blaze pizza on their website not the DoorDash app so when the order is not delivered properly on time that's blaze's fault after extensive arguing, he agreed to refund the order for the pizza, but that doesn't resolve that my family was eating 45 minutes late pizza that was an hour and a half old. The pizzas were delivered by a man who did not even have them in a box which means they sat on the counter at DoorDash for 45 minutes and then just in the back of his car, not like a pizza delivery service who puts them in a special bag just in the back of his car for 45 minutes who even knows what his car looks like. It was probably stinky and dirty. Just sitting there in the backseat of a stinky dirty car while he drove around for 45 minutes to deliver me cold old pizza sold the boxes were caving in from the moisture that accumulated in the boxes as the pizza cooled for the hour and a half after they made I give blaze pizza zero stars if I could, but I'm stuck at giving them one star so one star it is horrible horrible delivery service. They have ruined their entire business model by outsourcing their delivery service to DoorDash instead of taking responsibility for their own product oddly enough when I complained to the man on the phone he was fully aware of the issues and said thank you for calling and telling us about the problem because we are having ongoing issues with DoorDash. If you're having so many ongoing issues, why would you continue to allow them to ruin your customer experience delivering old cold pizza when your soul product is pizza why wouldn't you want to correct this issue? Not a huge fan of pizza but this place is amazing. I love that you can customize it, the portion is huge for the price (basically getting two meals in one), and the staff is so nice! Only went here once, so take this review with a grain of salt. I'll update when I come here a little bit more to see if I feel the same all throughout. Really enjoyed coming here. Have been seeing so many people go, and was quite skeptical because it is pizza, and I'm not in love with pizza like many people tend to be. The size is good enough for one person to eat. Price is $12 (tax included) for 2 topping custom pizza. About $15 for build your own. Crust: I love it. It's quite thin if you get the original (default) way of the crust. It's not hard or crunchy, it's just right. I thought it would be hard, meaning that it would hurt my palate, but it wasn't hard at all. It was pretty soft but had structure, and it wasn't soggy. Just right. Sauce: You have the choice of a few different sauces that they put on your pizza at the end. Kind of over killed my pizza with BBQ sauce, but it was still good enough. In the beginning when making your pizza, you have the choice of the typical sauces (red classic sauce; alfredo; etc.). Toppings: There isn't an insane amount of toppings. For meats there is: meat ball; italian sausage; ground beef (?); pepperoni; ham; and I think one more. Then you have your typical choices of vegetables, and I don't fairly remember if there were any fruits. I feel like there could be more toppings but it's not a huge game changer, it's good enough. Service: It's fine. You don't really get a lot of interaction with the employees because it's not a sit in restaurant (not really; it's more like a Chipotle). But they're generally pretty nice. If you're new to the whole place, they'll give you a quick overview of how things work. Price: Not super expensive. I would say it's pretty good for what you get. $12 (after tax) for a 2 topping pizza (custom). Around $15? For a build your own. I think you would generally go for a build your own. There are other options like premade pizzas that you can also customize. Conclusion: I would really enjoy coming to this place again because of the many different options that you can have and different toppings that you can put. The size of the pizza is also not too big so you can easily (at least for me) finish it by yourself. The pricing is also fair imo and it's not like you're eating cardboard. This could have been a 1 star review had it not been to the very attentive duty manager. The pizzas are good. Just like Chipotle, you don't get an authentic burritos, but a North American version, here as well the pizza are not authentic but good enough. The bake it in less than five minutes and top it just way you like it if you don't fancy the preselected versions. You do get a choice of cheese or non dairy cheeze which suites is well. The cheese and toppings are good, but what makes the pizza great in my opioid the crust. It's not the best such as Libretto but better than PP or any similar chains. The garlic knots, were the best and kids loved it to the end. They could have skipped the pizzas and would had just that. As it was our first time, which the cashier asked us when we reached the desk, she explained how this place works. What we did. It realize is that the staff will not change gloves if they have handled meats when they move to a vegan or a vegetarian version. When we requested the server to do she actually got mad at us for not telling at the time of the order! Totally no expectations going in, so I'm glad I was pretty satisfied with the end product. I was downtown for a show, just around the corner from Blaze. It was close to 11pm and I was HANGRY. The place I was at had like minus 5 food options and they weren't even good options. I wanted something quick and cheap or I was going to go off on someone. In comes Blaze. I walked in 20 minutes to closing and the place was still bumpin and kitchen in full force. I was going to get the unlimited toppings option, but I didn't wanna get crazy wid it, so I opted for the two-topping pizza. I went with the classic sauce and cheese with pepperoni and mushrooms. The guy making my pizza was beyond nice and kept asking and making sure if each topping was enough for me. So nice! Some people are too shy to ask for more or less, so this was a nice touch. I told him to go HAM with the cheese and to load that mother with mushrooms. I would say it took less than 10 minutes for the pizza to cook. I asked for some pesto drizzle at the end to green it up a little. The pizza is a good size with very thin crust. Even small eaters (who are starving) could probably eat the whole pizza to themselves. You'd probably feel a little sick after, but no one told you to do that *shrug. I particularly was satisfied with two slices. I could have eaten another but it was late and I thought maybe not. A heavy eater would defs be satisfied with the size of the pizza. I love that you get to choose your toppings - and for my lactose intolerant friend, this came to be very useful as he was able to order a pizza without cheese. I opted for the special half-pizza half-salad combo for a total of roughly $12.85. I chose the Greek salad, and was quite satisfied with the portion (I had expected it to be much smaller!). It was your standard run-of-the-mill Greek salad, filled with olives, feta cheese, and tomatoes. For my half-pizza, I got it with a variety of toppings. Although I loved that the crust was very thin and crispy, I believe I made a misstep in asking for balsamic glaze. The sickening sweet syrup ended up weighing my pizza down, and made it quite soggy near the end. I was so full by the end of my three pieces that I'm glad I only got the half-size! My friend ordered all the meats on his pizza sans cheese, and man, they completely loaded it up! It was a very generous amount. He asked for the buffalo sauce, and also got some spicy sauce on it - and combined, it proved to be too much for him to handle. He was sweating by the end of it! For $11 you can build your own pizza with UNLIMITED toppings. My friend and I got one preset signature pizza and a build-your-own. I think I'm gonna stick to the build your own from now on. We got the meat eaters pizza as the preset one. For the build-our-own we got mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, sauteed onions, spinach, peppers, ovalini mozzarella, roasted garlic, pineapple and original red sauce. We waited around 5 min for our pizza to cook in the stone oven and as it came out we got a bbq sauce finish and extra ranch sauce on the side to go. I've gotta say, the crust was nice and thin. The pizza itself was so delicious. You can see the fresh, wet dough being made by someone in the corner behind the stone oven. Overall, great location (right at dundas and yonge intersection; smack dab in the middle of central downtown basically), great service (everyone was efficient at their own station and friendly I might add), great price and great pizza! Tried blaze pizza for the first time. They offer some signature pizzas, but for an extra dollar or two you can build-your-own which allows you to choose any toppings you want on your pizza. They have 4 sauces, 10 different cheeses, 8 different meats, and a dozen or so vegetables to choose from. That is correct, unlimited toppings on your pizza. I like the overall process that they use to order a pizza, check-out and hand over to the customer. Very smooth, and each employee is focused on a specific task so no time wasted moving back and forth. However, everything was just so salty. I don't know which ingredients specifically were salty since I had basically asked to have everything on it (minus the sea salt), but it was definitely a very salty pizza, probably even saltier than what I've had from other pizza shops. Given the location, there are so many options to choose from if your lunch budget is $10+ I think it's a great deal, but it's not somewhere that I would go for a pizza simply because of the tongue-numbing experience afterwards. read more

Came for Friday lunch and there was a long lineup. Fortunately, they have a tight system down and we got our pizzas in hand in around 20 minutes. I built my own one topping pizza, which includes sauce, cheese and one topping. I went with spicy red sauce with ovalini mozzarella and crumbled meatballs. They are really good at making sure you are happy with the amount of each topping before putting it into the pizza. It was nice to watch them cook it and anticipate having a freshly baked pizza in hand. Overall a good pizza, spicy red sauce had a kick and the mozzarella helped balance out the flavors. One of my go to lunch place with friends and co-workers. They offer a large variety of toppings and sauces. I also love how energetic and happy the staff are. I always get the build your own pizza and adjust the topping based on my preference that day. I highly recommend adding the fresh mozzarella, it taste amazing with almost any combination of toppings. I also like how you can get half red and half white sauce so you get to try multiple flavours on one pizza. If you enjoy heavy flavours, I like adding Caesar ,pesto and chilli flakes on the pizza after it leaves the oven. The veggie and meat selection is amazing and fresh. The final product is always baked to perfections. It has a crisp finish topped with a variety of textures and flavours of your choosing. My friend introduced this place to me and I fell in love. We love blaze Pizza and we've been customers since it's early days in Michigan. That's how we accumulated the flames - their rewards. My husband got an email that his flames are expiring. So we used them by ordering a brownie online and we went to the store to pick them up. We showed that we had an online order in our email as well as our blaze app. The lady behind the counter said it didn't show up in her system but we clearly had an order # for this exact store. Finally, she acted like she was doing us a favour and said "this time I'll let it go". What does that mean? We have an order number and just because of a system delay, she treated the customer so badly. Please train your staff to be courteous. It was not too thin or too thick. It was perfect! This is better than the fast food chains and not too rustic tasting from the specialty pizza joints. The staff was friendly and efficient and the restaurant was clean. I noticed not sticky table tops or floors. Note: It was my first time going and it seemed like the choices were endless and I didn't have to pay extra. I honestly don't know if there was a limit on how much you can put on your pizza. MY FAVOURITE PIZZA PLACE!! Blaze seriously never disappoints. Sometimes I'll crave it and have to bus downtown to Yonge and Dundas just to have some. I am allergic to dairy and their non-dairy cheese is the best I've had on pizza. I love that I can order any type of pizza on the menu and just ask for an adjustment in type of cheese. Other places don't offer dairy-free cheese or their options are a terrible consistency. In addition, the sauce toppings offered after the pizza is out of the oven (lemon garlic aioli, pesto aioli, bbq sauce) add a different dimension to each slice. My team lead absolutely loves Blaze Pizza and she has their app which she uses to collect points for "free pizza". I actually don't really know how it works. So she dragged our team here last Friday to eat for lunch. The concept is great. You can make your own pizza or order one off the menu. If you get the Make Your Own Pizza, you go down a line that allows you to add UNLIMITED toppings. LOVE the ovalini cheese. Downside is most of their meat toppings are pork (which I have stopped eating) so I can only add chicken in for the protein. Their toppings are extensive and pretty fresh. The pizza gets popped into the oven as you pay and is ready about 3-5 minutes depending on how many people are ahead of you. The downside is if there's a picky customer (like one of my coworkers) they hold up the whole line deciding what they want on the pizza. The pizza is sooo fresh and super yummy. The only bad thing is that the crust on the bottom was a little soggy so my pizza came out floppy and it was a mess to eat. Blaze!!! This is my second visit here and I love the whole concept. Build your own pizza and get unlimited toppings? Sounds amazing. For my first visit I got a preset pizza and shared with a friend (it was good - not really special). But this time, I was determined to get a Build-Your-Own pizza. I customized the pizza to my liking by adding spicy tomato sauce and then garlic pesto sauce on the crust. I also added applewood bacon and Italian sausage for the meats. Arthichokes, mushrooms, and spinach for the veggies. Finally, the cheeses - I went for ovalini mozzarella and gorgonzola. After they took the pizza out of the oven, I was asked if I wanted arugula or other sauces drizzled on top. Wish I topped it with arugula. Other than that, this pizza was almost perfect. The thin, crispy crust and the diverse ingredients made this pizza awesome. Plus, the service here is amazing. They asked if my pizza was looking good at every step of the process.
