So I ordered the take two. Half pizza and a salad. For the salad I got cesar and for the pizza I got art lover which is artichoke, ricotta dollops of red sauce, chopped garlic, and mozzarella. I took off the garlic and added chicken, bacon. Green pepper, mushrooms, and tomatoes. I also got a chocolate chip cookie and a soda. I went to sit and there were crumbs on all the tables. I'm positive that anyone will agree with me that this location is a total disaster and has been on a constant decline in quality for the past 6 months. These peoples do not read orders. AT ALL. They will make a full blown wrong order going against food allergies and everything and not care! The best part is we've put in complaints and they do not fix it. Also why do I have to beg for ranch? Adding it to my online order isn't enough so I have to actually pop my pizza box open inside blaze to check if ranch and 100% of the time there's not so I have to buy ranch that I already paid for with my online order? Our family loves Blaze! Their pizza never disappoints us. The staff at this location and S Reno are very nice. The best part is how fast the pizza is made! Many moons ago I used to work for a BYO pizza restaurant chain. During that time, I tried a lot of other BYO competitors but never got the chance to try Blaze. I'm so glad they opened in Reno! They have a good selection of toppings, their crust tastes great (I've only tried the original thin crust) and they do a good job moving people through even on busy nights. On one visit, I split a GF crust pizza with my niece and I was really impressed with how good it was. However, if you are Celiac, there are a lot of possibilities for cross contamination so not sure how great this is for people with serious allergies. read more

Even though my initial order was messed up, I am so pleased by their customer service that I will give them 5 stars anyway. We ordered a large 1 topping pizza but in the comments section asked for 1/4 to have pepperoni. When our order was delivered, the vegetarians were dismayed to find the entire pizza was pepperoni. I called Blaze pizza and the employee who answered the call was apologetic and rectified the situation by remaking the order. They have a wide variety of toppings for you to build your own pizza. The customization options are endless. Husband and I had blaze pizza twice in the last month and had a great experience both times. I ordered the veg out with few substitutions which they are happily accommodate. Husband got the meat lovers pizza. They use fresh ingredients and the sauce/cheese ratio is perfect. Our pizzas were cooked to perfection, thin but crispy crust and filled with ample flavor. If you make your own, it's UNLIMITED toppings!! I chose to make my own and my toppings included white sauce and pesto, gorgonzola, feta, ovalini cheese, sausage and meatballs, artichoke, jalapeño, mushroom, and spinach. My Wife and I are MOD Pizza die hards, but we also like to try new and different places so when the opportunity to try Blaze presented itself, we decided to go for it. We initially were going to eat lunch at Habit, but the saw Blaze and decided to head inside to check it out. If you've been to MOD you'll feel comfortable ordering here as it works much in the same manner. You select your crust and then tell them which toppings you'd like. Once you pay, they throw your pizza(s) in the brick oven and call your name once they're ready. The reason I gave it three stars is because the customer service was good and the pizza was decent. I didn't not like it, but I didn't hate it either. Blaze is kind of in a grey area with me. I do recommend that you give it a shot but as far as I'm concerned, now that I've tried both, I'm MOD through and through. read more

I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have a single serving build your own pizza place so close by...and they pretty much rock at freshness, great service & amazing availability of different options for different preferences. They have nice variety of crust options: original, high rise (thick), keto, gluten-free, cauliflower. My favorite is the Take 2, which includes 1/2 pizza (which you can get with any crust) & your choice of garlic knots or a side salad. The salad choices include premade salads or a build your own salad. The knots are a little bit of heaven. And the salads are perfect! The cherry on top today... we visited Blaze as part of a fundraiser for Reed HS BioMed program. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the employees knew exactly what to do AND my receipt documented the fundraiser on it. (So often, when these fundraisers happen at other establishments, the cashier doesn't know what to do and it's questionable whether your purchase really ever gets credited to the school.) Decide to give Blaze Pizza a try for dinner last night. I must say, they have some very unique offerings which make this an appealing place to eat but on the other hand they have a couple things that make me feel a bit less than satisfied with my choice. Firstly, I love that you can order a pizza with unlimited toppings. They also have different crust options, sauce options (I'm a traditional girl so unlike the classic dough and red sauce), multiple cheese options, plenty of toppings, and they even offer toppings to add once your pizza is finished cooking such as arugula or balsamic drizzle. This is great! I also love that I can sign up for the rewards program and order directly from the app. The thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way about Blaze Pizza however was that my to-go order was sitting out on a shelf that is completely open to the public which I did not like considering anyone could touch it. I ordered a salad and a pizza so by the time I picked up my order, the salad was warm and the pizza was a bit cold. Once I got my pizza home, the toppings were a bit thinly spread and not very well spread out but hey, maybe I'll just have to ask for extra next time. Visited 4/25/19 - I know they say, "never look a gift pizza in the mouth", but I wasn't won over by Blaze Pizza. It'll sound especially ungrateful when I say I went because I received a "we're new to the area!" offer postcard, too. I like the concept, and the new addition to that dining area near he Marina is pretty cool, and with neighbors like Jersey Mike's and Chick-fil-A, they're in good company, but there's just a little something off for me about Blaze Pizza. It's quick, sure, it's personal, OK. The dining room was nice, trendy, and clean. I chose my toppings, watched in appreciation, ordered a drink and put a tip in the jar. I did their welcome offer right, ok? So why wouldn't I beat feet to go back? Well, I guess it partially has to do with not being a ride-or-die pizza fan, but that's on me. I overheard the guy finishing the pies make a few "well, I'm new here, I don't know" comments that to me just came across as "not my job" but if I had to put my finger on what put me off, it was just the taste and appearance of the pizza. Our party of 5 took a little while to deliberate over our pies, and despite the line growing, they continued to offer advice and answer all our questions (it was my first time trying a create-your-own pizza place). My gluten free pepperoni crust had some issues. A few slices of pepperoni throughout the pizza...cheese was barely pinched half way through the pizza with meager sauce. This was the second worst pizza I have ever had. For a small pizza for $14 I expect more effort. Def shows how lazy and careless the employees are. There are so many options for pizza toppings it's great! I would never think to put some of these toppings on, so its always fun to come in and try something new. Two nights in particular that I've come in on, opening day and pie day, a girl (I don't think I got her name) is always outside holding the door. She is so funny and friendly, and makes the wait seem short. She explained to us the open ceiling concept of the restaurant which was pretty neat. The pizza is always out fast, and cooked through. I love this franchise. I've been to the ones in Spokane, Roseville and South Reno. I gave a star for location, pizza and drinks. Those 3 things were on point. Service was not what I expected from Blaze. Five different young adults assisted in our order and only one of them was awesome. He had a bunch of pins on his hat, dark hair and thin. Lots of personality. My least favorite worker was the one plating the pizzas. For whatever reason he let my pizza sit in front of him while he doled out 4 others that came after me. I was actually worried that my paper had fallen and wasn't in the line up anymore. But it was there. It was odd. They have soda water and regular water in the machine. 3 crafted sodas that are excellent, Aqua frescos, blood orange lemonade, regular lemonade and iced tea. Looks like thin crust and they were very stingy on the cheese. Decided to come here for a late lunch. I've been to this location and the experience was better the first time... this time... while the food was great, the service was so-so. I felt like the Asian girl helping with toppings didn't want to be there. She just had a small stand off attitude... Maybe it wasn't her day? The guy putting the pizzas in and calling out orders was a complete 360. He was very nice and seemed like he wanted to be there. Overall, I would come back. My actual experience going in and getting my own take out from this restaurant was a lot better than getting it delivered. I was able to control the amount of time it sat before I ate it, and I could see how many toppings I was putting on it so I didn't overload it, causing it to be soggy. This time I ordered pesto, goat cheese, bacon, spinach, red onion, and broccoli and I drizzled it with buffalo sauce after it was cooked. I wish there would have been a little less buffalo sauce though because it really overpowered the rest of the ingredients. But the staff here were super friendly and helpful. They were personable and efficient at their jobs and I appreciated the care the pizza marker put into equally spreading out all the toppings. I definitely suggest going in to get your pizza for a fresher experience. And try the Greek salad! Fast and convenient. I've been here about four or five times now and overall it's been a good experience. They have a good menu a lot of choices without getting too extravagant or going overboard. Although the last time I was here my pizza was a bit too crispy. I like that the have a location in Sparks because that is where I live and it's easier to get to than Mod Pizza. I think Mod Pizza is so much better than Blaze, but I eat at Blaze more because of the location. It's usually been pretty quick and easy to order, and the price is also decent. Customer service is good, and everyone who works there has been friendly and accommodating. I especially like that I can order online, and go pick it up in minutes.
