They seem overwhelmed here when it wasn't very busy. The manager woman with red hair was quite rude while helping customers, including myself. Apparently if you ask for water, cheese and peppers you're really inconveniencing her and she will tell you to hold on and roll her eyes in the middle of "helping" you. Mind you, you can't have more than one cup of water even in you're a paying customer. I feel this rule is ridiculous. I would not recommend the keto or cauliflower crust. We had a custom-made pizza and shared it for about $9. Delicious. Mushrooms, ham, pineapples, sausage, and many other ingredients I can't remember. Ate there and it was great. Came in at 10:29pm just to order to go and was denied service because they only can do online orders and cut off is at 1030, but you close at 11 pm. You're not a full service restaurant that needs the time to prep dishes. Staff didn't seem like they wanted to anything. It's sad to be poorly managed. I understand if you said no 5 minutes or even 15 minutes before closing, but not 30 minutes. Not smart turning away any business at this point. A sale is a sale. read more

I have never experienced what I did at this blaze tonight, I've been to many different locations over the years and always had excellent service and quality. My daughter and I both do not eat dairy for allergies and I have a gluten allergy. I'm aware it's hard to not have some cross contamination but other locations always ask and change gloves and take precautions. One worker did and the other just started throwing things on my pizza and had to ask to use the covered Marina because the one in the front of the line had reg cheese in it. I just figured they were busy and let it go. I then noticed the guy at the ovens was talking to someone on his personal cell phone while pushing pizzas around and was calling out wrong names for pizzas. He served my daughter regular cheese pizza and when I heard confusion with another customer realized they hadn't given us non dairy. As time went on he was in the kitchen on a watch and phone not helping his coworkers. And upon walking out through the back exit he was leaning against the wall smoking what smelled like a joint. I can understand having an off day and I'm not looking for perfection but i feel management deserves to know. read more

This cool little spot is similar to other build-your-own pizza places sprouting up throughout the nation. Blaze has the friendly and casual feel down, no problem. Their options are indeed bountiful and I can dig the roasted garlic cloves and goat cheese, YUM! For a little under 10 bucks, you have yourself a custom pie that's rockin' some tasty toppings. Their pre-made salads all look good. I tried the beet & goat cheese salad and it was good. Not stunning but, hey, I guess it can hit the spot if that combination sounds appealing to you. They'd win my green-loving heart if they offered the salads in the beginning of the line and have the option to add more toppings to it. The veggies can be included with the stock price, while adding meats for an extra charge. Oh, and that killer salad idea...YOUR WELCOME ;) All joking aside, Blaze seriously dances to my tempo a lot more then other similar joints because it tasted better to me and the topping selection was way more impressive then what I've encountered thus far. This makes me a fan. Yet, this pizza concept in general can really annoy me because the wait can get pretty ridiculous. I suppose it's streamlined as best as it can be but maybe someone might want to innovate this idea further so that people don't get turned off after waiting 30 minutes and still don't make it to the counter. Blaze is easily one of my favorite create your own pizza chains! They are consistent in great service, a clean store and good pizza at a fair price! It was pretty full here, but the staff efficient and the line moved quickly. I created my own pizza using pesto as a base and pretty much all of the veggie toppings as well as a large salad and both were fantastic! Fresh, high quality ingredients, as many as you want for $8, you really cannot beat that! They guys loved their meaty pizzas too, perfect for kids and picky eaters! So glad them doing so well and expanding all over, well deserved! read more

I really enjoy the pizza at Blaze. I was really happened they opened up at the Circle since it's on my way home and it gives me another great dinner option. They have the tried and true build your own pizza or one of their specialty pizzas, but I find the one I go for the most is the simple cheese pizza for $5. Parking will be crazy here to say the least but we do love our Blaze and it will be competing with Pizza Press that also popped up here recently. Came here for the Free Pizza Day. Don't get me wrong, I never sound like an ingrate for not having it 5 stars for free. However, after being able to go to almost all of the Grand Openings, here's are some of my input. Oh, I just wanted to note the owners put in almost a Million dollars to get this Blaze looking like it is today . Gluten Free: Could work out some bugs, ours came out burnt. Pizza: Didn't come out as crispy, note sure if they had it long enough. (Note: this was based on a cheese pizza we ordered for the kids, no toppings.) However, service here was great as usual. The regular lemonade was spot on. I noticed the price of pizzas are now $7.45 versus $7.99 before and still is whatever you want to put on. I still love the Veg Out here with the Bacon just to throw a curve ball on the staff. Smart college kids were doing the online ordering here and pretty much skipped the 45 minute wait. Don't come in 40 minutes before closing because you will experience the worst customer service ever. The first girl who helped us, Kas, was slamming pans while asking us our order. That didn't make us feel welcome or comfortable in the store. As a regular customer at other blaze stores I felt that they were not up to standards. Came in here today at 1230 am. the girl taking the order was very short. I ordered 5 pizzas. One was a green stripe, when I received the pizza there was nothing "green" on it. I told the girl they didn't put any pesto or arugula on the pizza. She just looked at me blankly and said nothing. I asked for at least a side of pesto. She acted like it was my fault they made the pizza wrong. She didn't even apologize. She doesn't smile and acts like she doesn't want to be here. Horrible customer experience. Too bad. I placed an on order online for a curbside pickup. I took my son with me thinking we weren't going to get out of the car ... we have been staying away from crowded areas due to covid. We parked in the curbside pickup parking and called the number to let them know we are here . The number did not work ... it kept saying their voicemail is full. I called the restaurant and was directed to a call center who then said they got the same message and for me to go inside. I really didn't want to take my son out or even be out myself, reason why I wanted curbside. I also ordered a gluten free pizza and didn't know which one of my pizzas were gluten free. Just happened to visit Orange Old Town on Pie Day. Saw the line and decided to try. I don't usually eat pIzza but the build your own pizza is so wonderful! I got pesto sauce and all the veggies, like roasted garlic, artichokes, banana peppers, roasted zucchini, olives....., 3 minutes wait and the pizza is done. Then I added arugula and pesto sauce for toppings. It's the best tasting pizza!! Thin and crisp crust. Love it!! And of course the price today-- $3.14 a pizza!! read more

The location is honestly 5 stars. The line went quickly even at rush hour on a Saturday night, and there is more than ample seating in this well decorated Radio Shack remodel. In that respect, this Blaze has the Pizza Press down the street beat. Now this is personal preference, but I think Blaze pizzas usually end up less tasty than those at the other build-your-own pizza shops. I've eaten at several locations, and the crust at Blaze always seems lacking (full discloser, I'm not a big fan of the wood-fired taste). More, though we did a half red/ half white pizza, both sauces were essentially tasteless. Also, we load up on toppings at all of these places, but here our pizzas always end up super watery...not sure if it's the quality of the ingredients, the way they cook it, or something else entirely, but its just not as good. I will definitely go back if someone is feeling Blaze over Pizza Press, or if the line their seems too long. But if all things are equal, I think I'll go to Pizza Press down the street. read more

You have your pizza your way or choose some basic option. I had meat eaters. It was good but not much meat. The other pizza was artichoke, garlic etc option. It had no artichoke. Decided to give this location a try since I didn't have the best luck with the main place one. I've been here two times already and had similar experiences for both. Staff is friendly but they are very slow. Both times there was easily around 8-10 staff and only two or so were on the line. As for the pizza. It is alright. I got high rise dough since I find their thin crust to be a little too thin and the high rise was perfect for me. The ingredients (veggies in particular), don't seem too fresh and have a weird taste. Okay, it's here. Fast food pizza! Love the concept. You can build your own or pick one of their creations. I built my own, hubby got the Link In pizza. I put like 8 toppings on mine and it was the same price- $7.45 each! The pizzas are about 10" and I took half of mine home. Decor is cool and lots of tables. I did some figuring... If I had ordered this pizza at a full service, typical Italian restaurant, it would have cost about $18 with all those toppings! Think subway but in pizza form. I honestly prefer this place over Pielogy minus the crazy long line. The place itself is very spacious located in the Orange Circle. Their staffs are very friendly and patience (I like that). You can either customize your own pizza for less than $8 or order one of their favorites. Usually when I go I would do the customize one since its the same price as the favorites anyways. I usually hate thin crusted pizza, but their pizza crust are not drying at all, just perfect crispiness. If you are a student at Chapman University I think you would like this place especially since the price is very affordable and their portion is good enough to for two people to enjoy. I would like to add that because this is in the circle of orange parking can be difficult to find.
