The pizza was cold. Very little toppings. Poor customer service. I am disappointed in my experience.

It's always time for pizza for me if hunger strikes.. so evening came and traveling away from home seating in hotel room made me look for seat down pizza place with some open ceilings which keeps sounds in control. Blaze showed up under Yelp search only 1.6 from my Sleep inn& suites hotel. So no need to do any search as delivered pizza would take time. Since I have eaten at quite a few Blaze pizza places in past hence knew the drill pick ingredients which they put on pie with cheese and sauces of your selections. Put it in oven when that time I instruct well done and they wait for ten minutes and your name is called to pick it up.. no cooled pizza but piping hot pie ... I had placed already picked while waiting away from crowd with Dr Pepper waiting for me to return.. after that rest is history for the pizza .. now digestive system has to start working to get nutrients out and provide energy !! read more

This.Pizza.Is.So.Good. It's basically like Chipotle but for pizza. You go through a line and pick whatever it is that you want on your pizza. They make it in front of you. You pay, then wait for it to be cooked. They call your name and you pick it up. Really simple. Really delicious. :) They also have drinks (matcha and a few other options) that are delicious! I think they're a little bit too sweet, but it's nothing that some water wouldn't fix. Side Note: the pesto is very garlicky. It's called garlic pesto, but I wanted to clarify that it's indeed very very very garlicky. read more

One word to sum up my most recent experience at this Blaze location, would be Rude. Five people in line, no one in the dine-in section, four employees up front and no one waiting on those in line. Seems as though call-ins and deliveries took top priority. Not even a "I'll be with you in a moment," nor a look up and a sign of acknowledgement. Neglectful and slow service. Now the line is out the door and still these four employees continue, without glancing upwards, busy reading their printed tickets. They're like, pizza bots. We waited 30 minutes and watched Blaze employees press their pizza dough, sauce and adorn their pizzas, go into the back to refill their stations with various ingredients, without even looking up. Favorite pizza place! They have so many options for meat and veggie toppings, cheeses, and sauces. They also have several crust options. I get the high rise dough because it's thicker. There is an extra charge for this but I think it's totally worth it. I always do the build your own option. I got the high rise dough. This time I did a white cream sauce. The garlic pesto sauce did look good so I have them dab the edges of the crust with that, but it did make the edges burn some. I got mozzarella cheese and goat cheese. I added applewood bacon and salami. For my veggies I asked for basil (which burned up in the oven), chopped garlic, and black olives. Once it came out of the oven, I asked for a pesto drizzle and ranch drizzle. So yummy!! For drinks they have your typically Coca Cola products but they also have some lemonades and other fresh fruit drinks that were so good. I got the bloodorange lemonade, which was incredible! My first time here and I wish I hadn't. The staff seemed annoyed for me asking basic questions about the menu. As a customer I don't want to be talked to like your friends. Cashier boy was pretty moody. Seems super staffed and I've worked in understaffed kitchen forever and still kept a decent attitude. Oven guy just blankly staring after asking yet another simple question before answering like I was asinine awkward but whatever. Blaze is by far my favorite place to get pizza in the area! It's like Chipotle but pizza You can build your own and add as many toppings as you want for around $8.50! The toppings always look very fresh and the service is fast! The serving size is huge, it's so filling. Their chocolate chip cookie is also super yummy! I get it warmed up in the oven. The 'make your own' concept of preparing food has finally reached the pizza industry... think Subway or Chipotle. You start with a crust, pick the type of sauce, pick the combo of cheese that you want, and then start adding up ingredients! If you're not careful, you can easily go a bit overboard.. Grab your cup, fill and it up with your choice of unlimited refill drinks, and have a seat.... Once your custom pizza is piping hot, they'll call your name and its time to chow down! Blaze pizza is the subway of pizza. You'll be able to customize the crust, sauce, cheese, toppings, and final drizzle. I've been coming to blaze for about 4 years and it's raised prices a lot. At almost $9 for a build your own you can easily afford going to any other pizza chain and getting a pizza to share. If you're looking for a plain cheese or two topping it'll save you a dollar or so. Staff at this location are on point. They communicate effectively with not only customers but each other. I have zero complaints in that department. With so many food options near by Blaze definitely take the customer service award. My food was made just as I had requested and tasted awesome. The resturant was clean and almost empty around 1 on a Tuesday. I'll keep visiting this location for lunch but with the recent price change I'll think twice before bringing the family. If five people get their own BYO it'll cost about $45 without drinks which is more expensive that going for pizza elsewhere. I will say the blood orange lemonade is basically crack and so delicious. read more

I LOVE blaze pizza! I have been coming to this location for a few years now since their artisan pizzas were originally $5.00!! The size is perfect!! If I'm truly famished, I can devour the entire pie, but for the most part, I almost always have a couple slices left over for a late night snack. The crust is nice and thin, and perfectly charred. I used to only get the margherita pizza, but choose to add more toppings to fill me up. It's like a "chipotle" ordering style where you pick your unlimited toppings and sauce. Their ingredients are always fresh, and staff is always friendly. Hubby always gets meat on top of meat on his. Don't forget the option of putting a drizzle on your pie at the end once it comes out of the fire stone oven! This includes olive oil, pesto, buffalo, ranch, balsamic, and bbq drizzle. I get balsamic and hubby gets buffalo. Pizzas come out super fast (literally 3 minutes). We also love the "bottomless" mango and strawberry juice drinks they offer. Mind you I live directly across the street ,the only reason I didnt walk to establishment cause it was late at night like 11pm . Everything was decently priced and it was nice that they had combo deals (half pizza and half salad). The size of the pizza is definitely big enough! Fired fast my A**. Excuse my French but no. I literally spent 45 minutes in here on A FRIDAY NIGHT waiting for a pizza to be made, which I find very unacceptable. There is NO reason why it took almost an hour to make a pizza on a night when you should expect several patrons. Literally no excuse. The line was wrapped around the restaurant and people were pissed. There is also NO reason why employees shouldn't know the difference between basil and spinach. They put the wrong ingredient on my pizza twice and I didn't have the heart to go back because it had taken long enough to get my food. The dude putting pizzas into the oven seemed upset that there was a discrepancy on my pizza and had a bad attitude about it. I think he and the rest of the employees here need to get a training session from corporate about how to run business efficiently. read more

The best way to describe this pizza is ok. The price is good, its prepared fairly quickly, there are a lot of options for toppings, and it tastes fresh and fine. Its just not good enough for me to think of it as a place to go when I crave pizza. Might just be me. I prefer a greasy NY slice and this pizza almost tastes healthy. I don't know why it took me so long to visit Blaze in Laurel. In fact, it was a business trip (twice!) to Indianapolis where I had Blaze the first (and second) time that inspired me to finally visit. I'm so glad I did. I like the options available. You can spend just over 5 bucks and get a basic plain pizza (more like a flatbread, but more on that in a moment) with just sauce and cheese. One topping, you're talking about 6.45 or thereabouts. Beyond that, it's one price for either a signature creation of their design (yes, you can customize it), or build your own with unlimited toppings. This is my kind of place! The crust on the basic dough is pretty good, very flat, and does not get in the way of the rest of the pie. I would really liken it to a flatbread crust, it's that thin. I tend to go a bit overboard on toppings, so the middle tends to get a bit soggy on my orders. But, the rest of the crust crisps up perfectly and gets a wonderful crackle to it. The sauce is tangy, but not too salty, sweet, or sharp. The flavors are very well balanced; honestly, I would consider forgoing my uber-toppings order some day for just a basic pie, as good as the basics stand out. Cheese, same thing. Simple, but delicious. There are no limits on your creativity from that point on, too. In fact, I would suggest that this allows for far more creativity than your usual pizza joint. With oddities like turkey meatballs, whole roasted garlic cloves, salami, and artichokes, you can find plenty to augment the pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, peppers, and onions of standard fare. My personal favorite? Kalamata olives, artichokes, banana peppers, ovalini mozzarella (think Buffalo, only smaller), salami, ham, bacon, and chopped garlic, with a sprinkle of sea salt and oregano. A bit Mediterranean, but I love it. My one complaint is that they don't carry green olives like they had back in Indiana. Not sure why that is, but I know they're not the most popular topping. The service was great, the food came out fast, and the drink selection (including two Agua Frescas) was off the beaten path. The dining room was very clean, and we had no problem finding a fast meal even after the main lunch rush was over. An outstanding experience that I hope to enjoy again soon! read more

I like this pizza. PERIOD. Fast oven fired pizza in 180 seconds, what is there not to like? I decided to visit the Laurel location to see if it was just a fluke that this pizza was great tasting at another location as well. It was. I entered the location and was met by a pleasant young man who immediately took my order. I got the make your own pizza with red sauce, shaved and ovilini mozzarella, fresh spinach, green peppers, red peppers, olives, bacon, chicken and garlic. It was wonderful. The crust brown and crisp with the flavors of the ingredients blending well. I washed it down with the blood orange lemonade, which has the perfect blend of sweet and tart. My go to pizza joint when l am in the area. Sure hope they open one in Baltimore. read more

They have a good selection of pizzas and you can customize as much as you would like. Unfortunately, no meat as it was Friday and it was Lent. Out for lunch with our grandson and he wanted either IHOP or pizza. No contest there and he attacked and nearly finished his plain pizza while Carol enjoyed her salad and a piece of my pizza with artichokes, etc.. They make a decent thin crust pizza with a smile and a short wait. When you pick up your pizza you can also ask for an additional savory or spicy addition to your pizza. We deliberately didn't order pork and they added pork to our pizza. On top of that half of what my partner ordered topping wise was on my pizza and vice versa for his. If he wasn't a chicken buffalo person, and i wasn't a olive oil arugula person maybe it wouldn't have been so disgusting. Absolutely terrible from the walk in. Customer Service gets negative stars. Where is the manager? The one lonesome sole making pizza dough was the only hard worker. I wanted to try the Keto crust and he prepped the order for a worker but no one came and the line was 7 deep by then. So he had to head to the back with the line out the door. The other employees were literally twiddling their thumbs or on their cell phones and I know I counted over 5 employees doing NOTHING behind the counter. The lazy cashier had an attitude because I asked her for a receipt 2 times. Not one of those 5 employees manned the pizza oven and every single pizza that slow child pulled out was burned. Not to mention she felt like she needed a break before placing any in a box...maybe because she knew they were burnt or she was dragging her shift. We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I confirmed ahead of time that it was ok to bring in an outside cake. I was disappointed by a few things. The general manager reached out to me after my inquiry about the cake. I was asked how many people were coming so they could have everything ready for my daughter's birthday party. I was surprised (but appreciative) by the email and I responded. However, I did not get a confirmation. When we arrived, no one was expecting us. So we proceeded to find a seat and ordered our pizzas. The pizza itself was ok and it didn't take that long to make it. I got a chicken, sausage and onion pizza. The chicken was bland and tasted previously frozen, but eating everything together made up for it. The lemonade was good as well. They don't provide plates (and I opted not to ask for a cake cutting knife) so we ended up taking the cake home and finishing up there. Food is great, hard to mess up when you do the build your own pizza. This review is for the staff, I came in around 2-3pm today and the staff's service was terrible my god. Everyone, with the exception of the spanish gentlemen (he was very polite and helpful) was moving extremely slow and looked like they were all just told their family's had died. No smiles, moving like slugs and somewhat rude honestly. The woman boxing my pizza closed up both my boxes before I could even ask for drizzle (though she is supposed to be the one asking me) and then looked at me weird when I did ask ... the bottom of my pizza along with the person ahead of mine was burnt because the middleman was moving so slow.. Both of my experiences at Blaze Pizza has been great. I had the BBQ Chicken Pizza before and today I had the Veg out with Vegan Cheese and a side Quinoa, Kale, and Cranberry Salad. Everything was good and surprisingly I really liked the vegan cheese. I just recently adopted a plant based diet starting today lol so it's hard work finding food not by animals but so worth it. Blame "What The Healthy" on Netflix for this change. I will say I had to make sure the young lady prepping my Pizza to go, used a different Pizza cutter than the one she had been using for other pizzas. While I know I just started my plant based diet, I want to start out right and cutting a clearly vegan pizza with a pizza cutter than just cut a meat pizza is not cool.
