I want to start this by stating every time I have been to this location every single employee has the worst attitude towards their customers. They religiously provide viciously HORRIBLE customer service. I have yet to encounter anyone who says anything positive about the atmosphere and staff. Nobody there wants to do their job and talk reckless to its coworkers and customers. I made a pick up order for my family, ordering two build your own large's. The employees proceeded to mix the toppings we selected for our respective pizza's. - One was a CBR pizza with BBQ base, BP, Pineapple, Onion. - The other pizza was Pep, Ham, basil, garlic, Bacon, Feta. The CBR pizza didn't not come with bacon. Instead they took the ham and pepperoni from the other pizza and added it to the CBR. The Pep/Ham pizza lacked pepperoni, the main meat, which was disappointing. I feel like if the employees of this establishment had a better attitude the food would reflect it. There is no reason to come here and throw your money away when you order a "Build your own Pizza", and the employees don't bother and read the ticket in front of them. If the food industry is something you can't handle than either quit and find other work or buckle down and just do your job the way it's suppose to be done. It's hard enough for people out here with their finances to begin with. You shouldn't have to worry about paying close to $50 and your food isn't what you ordered, especially when it's an online order. read more

I do love Blaze Pizza. Their pizza's are great especially for a chain. Everything is very fresh and good tasting. I have always felt important to the staff and well served. They specialize in thin grill fired pizze made right in front of you. The ingredients are superior to many shops. I love the gorgonzola cheese as an option, and fresh basil leaves. I was here tonight and walked out. After waiting 45 minutes for a pizza when there was 3 people ahead of me. I saw one of the workers take his gloves off and wipe the snot off his nose, scratch his head under his hat and wipe the beads of sweat off his face and then not wash his hands. The restaurant was also disgusting. There was food all over the counters and there was pizza sitting out not being cooked or refrigerated. Adam was friendly and professional as my pizza maker/Baker/cashier/order taker. He gave me suggestions and happily answered questions. Other staff were busy and diligent as well. I met some serious people who love Blaze Fast-Fire'd pizza while waiting in line tonight. This is my second time at one of the Blaze restaurant and my experience was completely different. Tonight I came with my wife and son. They each ordered a pizza and had it made the way they wanted. My wife had the Gluten Free (GF) crust and my son had the regular high rise. Attached pictures. After watching the employees make the pizza with our choices they put it into the Blazing hot fire and expertly cooked it. Verdict: Wife's GF pizza was FABULOUS! This hit somewhere in the middle for me. I ordered half of a White Top pizza with red onions added and a small side Caesar salad. The pizza is good. Not great, not bad, just good. Pizza ingredients seem to be of decent quality and the flavors blend nicely. That said, the majority of my small side salad was overly rusted (and unappetizing) romaine lettuce, so not thrilled with that. Probably won't return. read more

I was quite impressed with Blaze! I had never been here before, but got a coupon, so I decided to give it a try. The pizza was delicious! They had a wide variety of toppings and some good drink choices. For lunch, it's quick, tasty, and priced right. Hits all the marks for me. However, what really stood out to me over the pizza, was the service from a particular employee named Robin (with an "i"). She first asked us if we had ever been there before. When we said "no", she walked us through the menu with a smile. It was warm and welcoming. Later on as we were eating, she came up to ask us how our food was and got us a box to take our leftovers home. We were totally impressed because you don't necessarily expect that level of service at a quick-serve restaurant. Blaze has something special in this employee and is lucky to have her on their staff. I will definitely be back to enjoy another pizza and it mostly has to do with Robin. I can go anywhere for a meal; there are many options for lunch. But I will come BACK to those places where I am treated like this. All restaurant and service employees can take a lesson from somebody like Robin. read more

The east lansing location is open til 1 weekdays and 4 on weekends, but the online ordering ends at 9. Go to place for Keto friendly pizza. Honestly, it's probably the only place for those looking for a low carb option outside of frozen pizzas(Quest as an example). If your new to Blaze pizza, it's like Subway but for pizza. Pick your options for items, build your own is the best option unless you are looking for a simple cheese or since item pizza, then choose crust(high rise is an extra $2 but worth it, keto is an extra $4). With those down, pick sauce, meats, veggies and then any finishes. Typically cook is about 5 minutes with a slight char around the edge. Great pizza, only complaint is the keto crust as a build your own pushes $14. That's not terrible, but it's expensive for a single pizza for someone. If they could price the dough at the same cost as the high rise, it would get an extra bump from me. :) Also, warmed cookies or brownie for dessert is a nice treat! read more

Love me that Blaze. I've built my own plenty of times and the highrise is really good. It's a little pricey for "fastfood" but the ingredients are good and obviously the food is fresh. If you have never been here it's like a Subway/chipotle for pizza. The food has been pretty consistent on my multiple visits and it is always very clean. The service is hit or miss because sometimes they're friendly and other times I think they get stressed out. That would be a management issue. They generally error on the friendly side but their service is also pretty slow. It's not really a fast pace place. They have to build your pizza by hand and then fire it. So just dont be in a hurry and you're good. Robin was working hard cleaning up the place and super friendly checking in with the customers. read more

I first waited for 15 minutes behind 2 people before I have even ordered. The employee called me a "simpleton" when I ordered the simple pie. After ordering and paying I waited 10 minutes before seeing it pulled out of the oven and then I waited another 10 minutes, while the pizza was out in the open, before I was handed it. To my dismay, there was a pool of tomato sauce in the middle of the pizza and because it was out in the open for so long, cold. First visit after hearing raves about the pizza. I had also read negative comments, mostly about the physical space not being the cleanest. I ordered two BYO pizzas online at the office to pick up at 7. I arrived 10 minutes early and got to watch the work flow behind the counter. It's definitely important to order ahead if you are picking up, because the ordering line was very long and didn't seem to be moving quickly. Two women managed the cash register and pick-ups, for in-house and online orders. They pulled my ticket a couple of minutes before 7 and my pizzas were ready by 7:03. It takes about 5 minutes to fire these babies, which is a great alternative to non-fired pizza. I ordered two similar build-your-own pizzas for my husband and me. I like that they are all personal pizzas and no size options, AND that they are all $8.45 no matter how many toppings! One had vegan cheese and the other gorgonzola. My husband liked the vegan cheese one more, and I liked the other more. Score for liking vegan cheese! Both had the garlic pesto sauce, which I would do again. We did a mix of veg toppings and balsamic glaze, which added a nice zip. Both pizzas were very yummy. They are characteristically dry flatbread pizzas, so don't expect ooey gooey cheesy pizza like Jet's (which is heavenly and also heart-clogging). The fellow firing pizzas was super fun to watch. He managed those pizzas masterfully and pulled them with care so the woman packaging them up or putting them on trays could do her job well. As I said, the flow was professional and efficient.
